《A Cultivation Journey》1. Beginning

In a dark place, Asce was looking left and right thoughtlessly trying to find where he is. He looked in every possible mathematical angle but it was all but darkness.
"Damn! Where am I?"
He tried to move his body but surprisingly found out that he had no body. Abnormally, he could still see without eyes. It was as if this place was mocking Newton. But dying by a colorful lightning and coming to this place was already abnormal enough to dismiss his body-less state. In his current state he had completely defied the very essence of science because currently he is matter-less but still conscious.
Then came a sudden bright light. Due to the sudden brightness, it was hard to see anything even though he had no eyes. Then he arrived in a completely white space. This place was completely in contrast with the space he was previously in. In that place, our protagonist saw something that blew his mind.
(A/N: Is mind a perspective of soul or body?)
'Is this heaven?'
.
.
.
He saw a palace filled with apex beauties. Yes, a full palace of beauties, who were much more beautiful than any woman he had ever seen before live or not. Hell, they were more beautiful than any of the fan-arts he had seen in his 'alive' life.
It was 'Lust' at first sight.
Then suddenly the scene changed. He saw a king Kong and a cat. They were... fighting?
An extremely large cat was fighting a King Kong!
Then he saw a large sparrow swooping down and pecking the king Kong on the head.
'Is sparrow even supposed to be that big? How does it fly? No wait... King Kong exists? And it is fighting a cat as large as it is? Damn, if I didn't know my current state, I would have thought that I was having an unrealistic dream. It seems, Chinese novels did some shit on me.'

Then…. there was no then.
King Kong's head burst like a balloon. There was no blood or any brain matters as it should have been. It was like, the head exploded into the thin air.
Pitiful king Kong, it didn't even know how it died. As for the cat, it disappeared who knows where.
'Wow! What a reverse food chain. Darwin can go suck his toes.'
Then scenes kept changing.
From tall mountains to large oceans, large animals to insects which, surprisingly were also large.
Then in his mind came a sudden thought.
'Make a wish'
(A/N: Is full stop needed here?)
That sudden thought was dangerous, like very very dangerous. It caused a disturbance in the force... if it exists here.
His head went non-literally blank. He felt as if his head was going to be crushed the next moment.
He didn't understand anything.
'Where am I? What wish? What was that something…something video???' After some brainstorming, he seems to think of something.
'Is this so-called reincarnation? A second chance? Is this a prelude of me being an entertainer?'
Don't get him wrong. He had also read novels of this genre and liked it a lot. But to happen it to you feels kind of like.... what can he say.... awesome of some short maybe…. He didn't even know what his feeling should be? Excited? Cautious? Relief?
The thought repeated itself in a relatively soft disturbance. 'Make a wish'
(A/N: Does thoughts need to be grammatically correct?)
'So, this means I really died. The colorful lightning was real. The beauties, cat, sparrow... all were real.'
He then abruptly remembered a memory. A memory of his demise. He died peacefully, hit by lightning. His last 'alive' moment was in a rather slow-motion. He saw his body struct by a multi-colored lightning. He saw how his body disintegrated slowly.

Seeing his own death was rather... calm? He didn't feel any negative emotions even in death. It was as if he was expecting it. But, did he wanted to die? The answer will be 'No'. As for why lightning targeted him, ask it. Anyway, it was a rather old-fashioned way to die.
'It seems that the best way to die is either by a truck or the electricity.'
Why? Because there could be some chance for reincarnation or maybe transmigration. it may also be both at the same time.
"Sigh! Who am I even talking to?"
Thinking about the thought, Asce asked "Any wish?"
The thought replied, 'According to my capability.'
"What can you do?"
'I know all things till now.'
"A wish?"
'A wish'.
'Damn, whatever it is, it certainly is arrogant.', is what he thought, but he seriously started to consider what to ask.
After a simple consideration, Asce asked again, "Can I ask for information about the world I am reincarnating to?"
Afterall, if a wish is asked after death, it certainly meant reincarnation. Or is it not?
.
.
.
'Cultivation world'
'Wow! what a long suspense and Fuck, what a world.
Not that he could do anything.
Then it's a cultivation world.
'Sigh...'
"Make me the best cultivation manual you could ever create."
Afterall, why not? He wants to live a challenging but smooth and comfortable life. Also, he only had a wish. What is the best wish than asking the very best cultivation manual from the almighty in a cultivation world?
Talent? Background? Luck?
Meh... I have read enough cultivation novel to know these three things are nothing but shit, responsibility and uncertainty 'respectively'.
(A/N: Well, reading math questions certainly improves your grammar to a certain margin... let us suppose 'x'.)
After a short time of no reply, his so-called body slowly began to disappear.
In that moment he remembered something. That something was a genre. A genre called 'genderbending'. And he regretted not adding additional words in his wish instantly.
"Fuck! I forgot to tell it to reincarnate me as a boy."
That was his last thought.
[ This novel is the kind of user guide you have to read before reincarnation. (It guides you to your death. Slowly but eventually.)]

"In my defense, I hadn't actually been trying to get hit by a truck." Artemis wakes up alone in a giant futuristic facility with no hint of where she is, how she got here, or what this means. Yet within two weeks, she is shot at with all the guns, a voice is beginning to speak in her head, and she is tormented by a seemingly sentient and possibly trollish space Roomba. Her only hope is Scarlet, another girl who is a complete stranger and almost shot her in the head. Oh, and she has fox ears and a tail. That is possibly worth mentioning. Artemis is not a nerd. She has never heard of the isekai genre, she can't fight worth a damn, and the blue-collar skills she learned at her community college are absolutely useless in a universe where technology is often indistinguishable from magic. She only has one thing going for her: A mysterious ability to interface with highly advanced technology left behind by the Antecessors, the long lost precursor civilization with technology that no one has been able to adequately replicate. Finding herself in a universe where civilizations are locked in an interstellar Cold War, where societies are so stratified that the aristocracy commands fleets of starships while slaves wash clothes with their hands, Artemis decides to run away from it all. She has a ship. She'll find a crew. She'll find a way to make a living at the fringes of civilization, learn how to cope with danger, and survive the affections of a universe where everyone is a cute girl with animal ears and tails. Welcome to Intercessor. AKA Kemonomimi Yuri Space Fantasy. Commissioned by Shaderic. Please leave your sense of shame at the door.

At some point in your day, in your routine, in your life, you will matter to someone. That is a special kind of power, do be careful with it.
