《Era of Creation》A Tragic Past

It’s been only a month since we defeated Mordred, meaning we got one less bad guy on our backs. However for some reason I felt sad watching her die. It’s not that I wasn’t joyful for her death, just my compassion for life conflicts with my inner being. I am a being of unimaginable power that of a god, but yet I feel so weak. What am I, more or less who am I? That’s a simple answer, but is it really? Whatever the case the world seemed to open up since Her death, more dungeons appeared out of nowhere, swallowing locations like a void, new types of enemies and new rewards from the king and guild.
In fact our group has seemed to get closer even more then before. Alex has been teaching me to control Judgement and my powers while the girls have been creating new strategies to take down certain foes. My only thought is why is Lasandra after me, and why has she not attacked me personally yet? It’s already been a whole month, I guess we really set her back with the loss of Mordred. “Hey Kali!” “Huh? Oh, was I lost in thought again.” “Yeah I was just thinking how it’s been a month with no attacks.” Zero slapped her shoulder, “Isnt that a good thing?” “I would obviously say yes, however I can’t get this feeling that im always being watched and it feels uneasy to just walk around sometimes. But it might just be my imagination right?” “Definitely, anyways me Ziro and Alex are heading down to the guild hall to look at some of those new dungeons, maybe get some food.”
“Of course your welcome to come, but if you feel uneasy we can go on without you and you can catch up?” “hmm, no ill head on down with you.” I of course didn’t want to let the other three go on without me I would be to worried what would happen If I wasn’t there. Recently Alex has been getting on my mind more and more, but I can’t seem to rid the thought of it. Maybe some new dungeon hunting can ease my mind. “We would like to take up this quest Darla.” Ziro placed down a piece of paper and on the piece of paper shocked the guild quest giver. “Um, I know you guys have a bunch of power and strength b-but are you sure about this quest?” “Do we look like amateurs?” She looked at the group and shook her head. “No, but I want to make sure you guys are absolutely sure about this quest.” “Kali.” “We’ll take it please.” “As you wish.” She stamped the quest paper. “I must warn you though, This dungeon, many have tried, many have died. I do hope you all return safely.”
The group left the building with the giver quietly uttering. “Dragon? Why the hell would anyone challenge a dragon?”

“So remind me WHY THE HELL YOU PICKED THIS QUEST!” Screamed Zero as the group made their way to the entrance to the draconic Terminus. “Because Z, we need to take down something close to a god, since Lasandra is one, and she’s out to kill Kali, so the next best thing to a god that’s reasonable is?” “A dragon.” “Exactly, Now don’t be a baby, remember the legends that dragons guard mountains of treasure.” “Like gold?” “and diamonds, jewels and more, soooooo keep your wits together and we can get out just fine.” “Okay.” Zero gathered the group together and casted the night vision spell, being able to see in the dark with no torches makes exploring a lot easier.
“Man would you look at all these carvings in the wall, it seems like they tell a story.” Alex walked over to the wall. “Ah the ancient carvings the old era. Ive read about these in my studies back in bakatta. I think I can read them if you all are interested in them before we continue?” “Sure, I’m always down for some history.” “Yeah same her especially if its good.” “Okay Alex go ahead.” Kali summoned some stones from the nearby area to act as chairs for the girls and her as they watched and listened to Alex.
“Okay lets start here.” Alex pointed his finger and began to read the ancient text. “In the beginning there were the gods.”
Alex read the story of the ancient writings on the wall, the story was of the dragon being sealed away in this very cave.
The dragon know as Mal, Mal was a fierce dragon who would spread fire and death across the land killing thousands to feed his ravenous hunger. He was as tall as a mountain, and as strong as two thousand men. Mal would leave curses of poor harvest and misfortune to the land he terrorized, until one day when the people of eon had enough. The kingdoms of old, Elantra, Bakatta, Alften, and Strum, sent their finest warrior, mage, cleric, and assassin to kill the dragon at all cost. The four souls were sent to the terminus, Mal’s home turf, to finally end the curse. Of course Mal wouldn’t go down so easily, at the time it was just him and the four souls, but one by one they got snuffed out by Mal. First the warrior who slashed at Mal’s legs, Mal smashed his claws into him, then the mage who struck his face leaving a dreadful scar, Mal swallowed her whole, then the assassin who hacked at his tail by crushing her with said tail. Finally the Cleric who was thrown aside towards the exit.
Mal let her live to send a clear message to those who dare try and kill him. But she refused, she ran out of his chambers and collapsed the entrance to the chambers effectively sealing Mal in his own home. The cleric finally succumbed to her wounds and died beside the entrance to the Chambers leaving a warning in the form of a whisper. Mal is the very definition of evil, hunger, and chaos all combined into one, do not fight him, do not try to hide, he will find you and snuff out your light.

“Well that was… kind of ominous.” “You said Kali.” Ziro replied. “Um… maybe we shouldn’t do this quest, I… I mean just this once maybe we should just not.” “Whats the matter Z? scared that an old dragon is still alive with no source of food, water, or light, hmmm?” “No! it’s just, I don’t wanna die if he’s still around.” Alex walked over to Zero who was quivering in fear behind a rock close to the caves entrance. “Come now Zero, the writing is just a myth written down here so people would blindly walk into an old cave and get lost.” “You… you mean it?” “Yes I do, now come on if your scared you can hold my hand till we get into a fight okay?” Zero nodded and reached for Alex’s hand, grabbing hold of her he lifted her onto his shoulders. “Woah! Wha.. what are you doing!” “I’m giving you a lift would you want to just walk then?” She tightly grabbed his shoulders nodding in disagreement. “Then lets go.” Alex walked over to the group. (Something about Zero seems off, like really off. She’s usually calm and collected not really scared or frightened over this kind of stuff.) Kali walked along with Ziro. “Ziro whats wrong with Zero, she seems to be a little off more then usual.” “Oh yeah so she really hates the dark and with that story it made her more fearful.” “She… hates the dark?”
“Can’t we all see in the dark?” “Well yes, but she has an inapt fear of the dark, she knows she can see but still is afraid. If you know what I mean.” “But we’ve been in dark caves before whats so different now?” “The dragon story. And the dead bodies they both kinda I guess put her in overload mode.” “Oh okay, well lets hope there’s no dragon then.”
The group made their way deeper and deeper into the cave, the whole time he cave seemed to grow in size. The group was now faced with a new obstacle, a whole bunch of rubble. Zero looked up and down to see if there was a way through but nothing. “I don’t think there is a way inside, well that’s good for us then thank goodness we didn’t run into any- ahhhhhhhh!” Zero screamed jumping back behind kali who lightened the area bit more. “Well would you look at that, so the wall really was telling the truth.” Kali said as she sent a light over a skeleton which was holding a staff and missing what appeared to be a hand. “So that’s how she died, she lost her hand and bled to death.” Ziro said. Zero now more scared then ever started to walk away. “Ph no, if im going in their your coming too!” Ziro said as she grabbed Zero by the collar and brought her back. Alex suggested to Kali. “Well this priest sealed him in their with some sort of magic right so why don’t you try to use a spell of yours to undo it?” “UNDO IT!” Zero yapped out “I DON’T WANT TO END UP LIKE THIS WOMAN!” “Oh quiet you if we cant open it then we just have to go back.” Ziro said patting zero on the head. “Right.” Kali stepped forward as she was going to cast a spell of divine light a massive group of text flew into the room. “Who dares to release Mal, ravager of life, and destroyer of kingdoms?” “Kalisia the Champion of the gods. And my party, we have been sent her to take care of the dragon if there is one!” The voice replied. “No, no no no! I placed this spell to protect the world from Mal, WHY WOULD YOU UNSEAL IT!” Kali replied. “Um, to kill it?” “Mal cannot be destroyed, rather he can be almost dead but never fully, the creature is above the gods respectively, I was only strong enough to seal him away I guess for a few millennia.” “If Mal was this tough why fight him in the first place spirit?” “We had no choice, Galmur, Marley, Grace and me had no other choice, it was this or public execution for going against each of our lords respectively. Believe me when I say this, if you break this seal and you all die, this world would come to an end, however. I can seal the cave back up when you all enter.”
“That way I can let you all out when you’ve stunned him for another few hundred years.” “I do liket his proposal, so if we can’t kill him we have to at least knock him back down again?” “Correct, but are you sure you four can handle it?” The group all nodded their heads, the spirit gave a small sigh and opened the seal to Mal’s Chamber. “Good luck adventures, may luck and prosperity get you through this. But do well to remember that once you are in I have to reseal this chamber, survive.” The spirit shut the seal up again, the group was now in the room of a sleeping giant, Mal.

How to become an evil overlord!
Nicolas Aukye kinda hates life, just kinda. There are many good things about life, and he knows that. The problem is, it's a bit difficult to enjoy life when you are trapped within the white walls of a hospital. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't have cancer or some other depressing incurable illness, nor is he lonely and sad, and he is definitely not just plain cuckoo. There's nothing wrong with him, except for the fact that he has two personalities, but that's not important. It wasn't something he was born with, nor something he resents. He just changed a bit when his mother locked him in an abandoned cellar for a few years, and he had to get on with life eating rats 'n' stuff. As I said, don't sweat the small details, and he's fine, because all that stress is gone once he massacres and wrecks havoc for a bit, oh, not in real life, of course, he's not in jail. Like I explained, perfectly normal, just don't mind the small details too much. (First story, I get C in English so, not a good sign. Trying to improve writing skills.) (casual story, lacks effort. I'm as lazy as Tanaka-kun (reference to tanaka-kun is always listless) you are warned) (Inspired by some of my favourites, Everybody loves large chests, Re:Hamster, World Seed and more) (Please don't kill me for mistakes, I'm probably gonna make a sh*t ton of em) (Also, how do I upload a cover page from my Ipad?)
