Kali looked on in fear as the two former comrades readied. “COME AT ME MORDRED!” “As you wish Alex!” The two clashed swords with lighting speed and reflexes, “Wow those two seem almost even.” Commented Wisp. Kali looked on “She still has an ability stronger then his. Please win this.”

*CLINK, CLINK CLINK* Both sword struck each other as Alex and Mordred dashed from side to side. “Strike my enemy with MANA BURST!” She blanketed the field where he stood with a strong burst of mana which knocked him down, Mordred pounced with a powerful overhanded strike on top of him, dodging last second. “What kind of a knight uses magic in a one on one duel have you no pride left even after you’ve been resurrected?” “Hmmmm tough question. Nope.” She called out with a laugh. “Then I’ll use a bit of my own.” Knocking her back he called out. “Halt!” Mordred was frozen for a short period allowing Alex to slice her left shoulder and entire chest down to her right arm. With a giant slice she kept on bleeding but it wasn’t deep enough to be fatal.

“Alex your blade cuts deep but not strong enough, you’ll regret not killing me, hahaha!” Mordred seemed to be swinging her blade like a madman with no sense of pattern for Alex to follow. He parried and dodged each of her strikes until he could find an opening, “Mordred you must have lost some of your combat capabilities when I slayed you the first time, seems resurrection slows you down.” Alex teased her. “Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up! You always talked to much!” She kicked Alex Back staggering him but not enough to fall. He retaliated by slashing the dirt into her face blinding her. He then charged and knocked his shoulder into her body sending Mordred flying across the ruins into a building crumbling the wall.

“GAH!” She stood up coughing blood out from the impact, she wiped it away grabbing a giant piece of the wall next to her and hurling it Alex’s way. Nearly dodging the ruble he threw a hidden mana stone at Mordred which was orange for fire setting Mordred ablaze. “AHHHHHHH, IT BURNS YOU BASTARD IM GONNA KILL YOU NOW AND YOUR PATHETIC FRIENDS AS WELL!” Mordred blew out the flames and stood to her feet in a confident pose.

“That’s it I can’t take this anymore, I can’t fail my master! MANA BURST! BLOWING WIND!” Alex fell from his feet and was knocked back to the ruin of a wall near Kali who called out. “ALEX SHES AIMING HER SWORD AT US!” He shook his head as he jumped to his feet calling out Bastions chant at the same time Mordred chanted out as well. She swung her sword in one hand as it started to glow a green coloration “With my powers I have received from my lord, I call out this swords name and power, YOU ALL WILL MELT AWAY WITH THE POWER OF MEASMA!” Alex ran in front of Kali and the group and called out Bastion.“I am an unmovable wall, give me the strength to defend my allies, BASTION!” Mordred’s beam hit Bastion with great force. The beam was extremely hot, so hot that Kali could feel it from behind Alex. The beam was an electric flowing green colored laser as was almost as bright as the sun. He stood his ground looking forward as Kali and wisp both looked in fear he would survive the strike melting away the mana around him. “Z, he can’t hold out for long we have to do something and soon!” Zero nodded to Ziro as they moved into the shadows.

The two girls were not behind his shield but in fact have positioned themselves near Mordred. “Huh how long can you last seriously, you think you can protect them like you could with your family?” “DON’T BRING THEM UP!” Kali looked at him with fear hoping he can hold out the beam. Zero and Ziro approached the two sides of Mordred careful to not enter her field of vision and attacked simultaneously “Chaos stone!” Ziro threw a yellow mana stone which shocked Mordred and the area around her. “Earth stone!” Zero threw a green mana stone which sprouted tree branches immobilizing Mordred.“What is this! You brats I’LL KILL YOU!” Her attack stopped but she could not get a read on the girls.

Suddenly the two dashed from one side of the town to the other slicing past Mordred Who fell to the ground, her armor almost completely destroyed in the attack. She crawled back up. “You..little…cowards! LASANDRA SAVE ME!” “as you wish Mordred.” “Don’t you dare run away Mordred!” Alex called out rushing her, “Too late” just as he slammed his shield into the wall she was on she vanished being saved by Lasandra. “DAMN IT MORDRED!” Alex cried out as he fell to the ground in exhaustion. “ALEX!” Kali cried out as she ran over to him with a grand healing spell to heal his wounds and burns. “You’ll be okay Alex, my magic should be working soon, do you think you can stand?”

Alex Grunted as he got up and clearly said “Calling your self a holy priest is not the right term, your more angelic.” Kali gave a sigh of relief as she walked over to the girls who were studying the surrounding area for Mordred’s vanish trick. “Zero, Ziro we’re moving out lets go.” “Coming!” They both said. The group completed the quest and exited the cave which suddenly collapsed after they exited it. Once paid the group headed towards the castle with Alex, who was unsure of entering.

Kali turned at the front gate to see Alex turning away from the castle to leave, she ran down to him and grabbed his arm “Where do you think your going?” He replied “Well I told you after the quest was done we split paths.” “True, but… but you saved our asses so many times back in that cave, and there is also the act that you have to explain all this past to us and… and… and…” Alex held her arm and replied simply “Don’t be nervous around me, otherwise what kind of a group member would I be?” Kali’s face turned red with embarrassment as she held his arm into the castle to find their rooms.

The king saw a new person asking about him, Kali responded to the king about his situation and that they would need another room for their new member. Agreeing she took Alex to his new room as they did Zero and Ziro already were in bed as was Wisp in her basket of a small bed. Alex stopped and peered into the girls room seeing the two in bed. Zero and Ziro were fast asleep cuddling next to one another, holding each other after a close encounter yet again. “Now see those two are like together?” He asked, Kali replied “Yes you’ll get to know everyone better over breakfast tomorrow morning okay?” “Right, oh also I’ll explain things more clearly as well.” “You better anyways your room is next to Wisp’s and Mine, so I guess… talk to you tomorrow then Alex.” “Same to you Kali.”

One last time he looked at the girls and then back at Kali as she entered her room shutting the door behind her. “Why does she seem so familiar? I bet it’s nothing I should get some sleep.” Alex shut the girls door and entered his room shutting it as well. The day was over and Mordred hasn’t appeared since. The scene changed to a more hellish room. “Master im sorry for my failure at Torrent, please forgive me.” Mordred proclaimed kneeling and her head lowered. “Raise your head and stand up, this is nothing trivial to be upset about, just a miner set back. Mordred remember Morgan?” She answered rapidly, “The beast who became a war chief to a bunch of raiders? Oh how sad a knights soul can go.”

“I need you to send him my regards and implement a bounty to set another trap for the false champion, this time instead of you they will be facing Morgan, the champion killer.” The scene fades to black as the chapter comes to an end with Mordred leaving Lasandra and heading for fort haggler to set the trap. “Lets see your luck save you know Kali.”
