“My, my, those four are very unpredictable aren’t they? No matter, Mordred are you prepared to prove yourself worthy to being my second?” An apparition of a being formed in front of the devilish voice. “Yes, I shall destroy the false champion and her companions. My Queen.” “Then go and send them a welcome card, if you fail return to me without haste, if you succeed then we go from there. Understand?” Mordred knelt down. “As you wish.” She vanished from view and switched from the center of the room to a dark shadow. The voice leaned forward to reveal herself as a large being, a being draped in red and black armor, heat and fire seemed to resonate off her body. The goddess of fire and love, Lasandra.
Mordred left the room as she went over to a crystal which had a lookout on Kali’s group as they head to the tower. “Hah she wants me to give them a warm welcome? I’ll give plenty to look at hahaha!” Mordred walked over to a few stone golems, “Go welcome our guest by not letting them past you, understand. Wait until they get to the center of the room and ambush them. Now go!” The golems nodded as they walked out of the room to set the trap. Mordred watched as kali’s group came to the entrance of the cave. “I will not lose this chance.”
The group stopped at the entrance of the cave and stood in awe of how massive the entrance was. “It’s like the entrance to a dwarven kingdom!” proclaimed Zero, “Exactly Z.” The girls ran ahead of the group but not to far to get a better look. “Well this is the place for the quest how should we take this Kali?” Alex asked as he looked at her, “Lets take this same as usual and adapt if anything changes got it Girls?!” She called out to Zero and Ziro who both gave thumbs up as they readied their weapons. “Hold on a min guys it’s a cave I got a new trick I learned from the queen.” The group gathered around Zero. “Let the night disappear and shine our path, clairvoyance!” The group looked around and nothing changed about them. Each one of the group looked at Zero as she sat there with a smile on her face. “Dummies it wont work until we get inside.” The group nodded and entered the cave, which was at first extremely dark and endless, until. “Whoa, hold on how come it got so bright in here?!” Called out Wisp. “Well this trick I learned lets any non-Elate person see in the dark pretty neat huh? Should make cave crawls easier and stealthier.

“Oh so is that why you and Ziro never need a torch when we go into caves?” The two girls nodded as they went in further. The scene was filled with glowing blue rocks imbedded into the cave wall sides. The tunnel seemed to have no end as the group has walked in for around an hour. They almost gave up until they reached a giant open room area, filled with a waterfall, a river which seemed rough and unstable and for some reason a shrine to a god or what’s left of it. The group stood in shock of the rooms size and features.
Alex walked over to the river “So I guess this is why they called it the torrent mountains, these rivers look dangerous best to keep clear of them lucky enough this shrine goes right over the river.” The group walked into the open space by the shrine, the onlooking Mordred waited for the moment to strike and then, like a snake she woke the golems. The group was right in the middle area of the shrine when suddenly Kali noticed something off about the shrine. “Everyone get back this shrine is moving!” The golems awoke and prepared themselves for battle wasting no hesitation Mordred ordered them to attack without mercy. *SMASH* The golems slammed the ground making the whole room seem to shake as rubble feel from the ceiling of the cave.
“Zero, Ziro take out the left most golem, Alex the right me and wisp will take the middle one, everyone attack!” The girls vanished and started slicing from left to right top to bottom of the first golem mincing the thing to rocks and pebbles. Alex called out Bastion and redirected each blow back into the second golem with ease smashing the monster to dust leaving only rocks and small boulders. Kali called out a sword of light and wisp buffed her attack and defense, Kali had no problem slaying a creature of darkness with holy weapons.
“Grrr, I cant let that slide.” Mordred said as she bit her lip in frustration she called out. “My servants will never die come back and form as one!” The group looked around to see if anything else was still up. Alex confidently called out. “ALL CLE- *GAH” He was thrown across the base of where the shrine used to be and slammed into a stone fence which broke on impact. *Gah* “The golems formed as one! There has to be… ah… there has to be a master controlling them!” He said panting after losing his breath from the blow.

The girls went after the beasts legs as kali struck at it with a stunning light beam. Wisp went over to heal Alex’s wounds. Alex looked on as he saw Kali getting knocked back by a foot slam, as well as seeing the girls get brushed off like flies. He felt his self gain power. Getting back to his feet he called out a new power. “I am an unstoppable force, give me the power to strike my opponents heart! Bastel!” Bastel formed from Bastion to a longsword glowing bright, his armor changed to a lighter more flexible set. “Now go get them big guy!” Wisp said as she buffed his attack and defense. Kali looked on in shock of Alex as he bravely charged the monster. With no hesitation he slide under the creatures stone legs and sliced both the legs clean off as he twirled up. *SLAM!* The golem fell with a loud crash, some more of the ceiling started to fall apart. Alex mounted the creature raising his sword into the air he cried out, Slamming into the chest of the beast the golem fell apart back into dust unable to regenerate. Much to the pleasure of Zero who gave a sigh. “Thank god it didn’t regenerate would have given me bad flashbacks.” Ziro hugged her “Nothing will happen as long as I’m here remember?” Zero hugged back agreeing. The group gathered themselves heading deeper into the mountain.
“DAMN IT! I WASTED SO MUCH TIME CREATING THAT!” Mordred said as she slammed the chair she was sitting in. “No matter I learned something, that knight, I know him, I know him well.” She said grinning. Time for a little someone to get a memory kick.” Dawning her helmet and sword she vanished from sight planning on meeting the group and Alex herself in defense of the mountain.
The group entered yet another large room this time it looked like an old village. There where ruins of small homes and a church in the far back. The town was set up on a single road leading to a church as they came closer a horrifying sight was brought to view. “AHHHHHH” Zero cried as she jumped into Kali’s arms in fear, “Kali l…l..oook the ground theres.” “Skeletons, a whole towns worth.” Alex said in a somber voice. “They don’t look to have died of natural causes, look see this one, it looks like they are holding a small child.” “Not holding, protecting.” Kali walked to the two skeletons and saw and arrow still stuck in the ribcage of both beings.
Ziro threw up a little as the group kept walking through the old town until they hear a voice and are stopped by Wisp. “Ma’am, I sense a dangerous being in our area. Be wary.” “YES BE VERY AWARE!” The voice called out and Kali responded “Who’s there, are you the master of those golems we destroyed!” “YES AND THEY TOOK AGES TO PERFECT! BUT NOT THESE ONES, THESE ARE FREE!” The voice called out a spell. “Rise and crush the living!” Suddenly the skeletons of the town got up and rushed the group.
They smited the skeletons feeling much grief and guilt when they did, “Now that we crushed your monstrous attack come out and face us!” Nothing, there was no voice, “Ma’am that voice has been in front of us this whole time, whoever they are, they are using a vanish technique new to this era but old enough for me to know.” “Damn has it been that long? Ah well you win some you lose some.” Mordred revealed herself. “Tada it was I Mordred sent here to kill the false champion and her party to claim the title for myself!” “Mordred? Where have I heard that name before?” “Awe you should remember your old comrade in arms…Alex.” Mordred said with a smug tone. “No impossible you have been dead for over a decade now!” Mordred sighed. “Has it only been ten years, feels more like an eon ago. Whatever, listen Alex im only here to kill her party, so there is no need for you to be in my way.”
Alex lowered his head in disbelief of Mordred still among the living. “I cant allow that Mordred.” “What?” “I said I wont allot that and I cant allow that, Mordred.” She lowered her sword and took off her helmet revealing herself, she hide the helmet from view, “You do know what comes next right?” He raised Bastel in her direction calmly saying. “Yes I do.” The two raised swords and prepared themselves. “Kali she has a power just like mine except it’s a stronger ability only I can deflect, I urge you four to hide behind those ruins over there. If I fall its all over.”
