As day broke the preparations for the celebration began to be set up, banners and flags are stationed around the entire city especially the mass plaza where the massive portal gate is stationed. The celebration begins soon, and with it the kingdom will become packed with the races of Eon. Kali and Wisp both get up from their long rest, which was well needed, getting up Kali woke up Zero and Ziro who reluctantly got up as well. The group went out to observe the setup for the celebration before being stopped by a merchant.
“Dear Champion, I was told by the Lord to assist in you and your groups reequipment process.” Kali looked at the man confused. “Reequipment… process?” “Yes, if you four would please follow me I think I have something fitting for each of you.” “I hope you got something my size.” Jokingly Wisp added. “Yes especially you little one.” The group followed the merchant to a storefront in which they entered and were brought to the back of the room.
The merchant first equipped Zero in new armor, “Darkness reincarnated, from the shadows a dark mist appears, Zero step on out please!” The merchant shook his hands as Zero slowly revealed herself and her new equipment, from the original leather armor which was shackled around her, she came out in a totally new style. Dawned in a black cloth robe which had long sleeves and robe like appearance but stopped halfway down her body. The robe had twin tails on the back and included a red stamp like button, her legs where in black stockings with red shoes, and had black fingerless gloves for better grip on her weapon. Included in the outfit was a black scarf, a black hat.
“Cute, and deadly, what a beautiful combo for my little one.” Ziro said with a smirk on her face holding in a small chuckle. Zero of course being embarrassed by the change turned red. Ziro towards the merchant. “So who’s next?” The merchant looked at her with gleaming eyes. “Your next!” Pulling her inside the back room Ziro came out after a few minutes. “Now Presenting, as they say death strikes twice the new and improved Ziro!” Stepping out from the back Ziro came out in a blue and white colored leather like armor, as well as lighting marks on her shoulder pads and gauntlets. Her weapons were electrified when out and retracted when away.

“Slick and fast with arc weapons I see, those should come in handy when in fights with lots of enemies.” “Of course Champion, Zero has also received an upgrade of the same type, this time however her weapon has a fire aspect to it. Alright time for you little light.” Wisp was brought to the back and came out a few minutes later. Zero and Ziro waited fiddling with their new weapons and armor. “Everyone here she is the new and improved little light.” Wisp flew over the merchant’s head and went into view, she was in a new glow of her past green to now blue. “Amazing but what else is there for her?” asked Kali. “Well there is another feature but it’s basic in description. Her stats have all increased and if she is close to all of you, you all will automatically heal bit by bit, pretty neat right?!” the merchant said with a sound of accomplishment. “Now please, your turn.” He said looking at Kali, she nodded. “Right.” Kali went into the back with the merchant while the other three waited in the front checking out the store.
Zero went to look around at the front desk and found a bunch of small stones in a basket. Ziro looked over after picking up a scarf, she walked over to see what she was looking at. Wisp waited anxiously for Kali to come out as its been a few minutes. “Wisp come here!” She flew over to the two girls at the desk. “What?” “Have you any clue to what these are? Whenever I touch them they glow.” “Hmm those could be mana stones commonly used by people who cant use magic like mages or Elates.” “Ahh makes sense.”

As the three finished looking at the mana stones the old merchant came out with Kali who was dressed in a white robe with gold shoulder pads and a white hood with a golden strip on the hood going to the bottom of the robe. Her staff was now made of twisted wood leading to an orb on the top of the staff which glowed a white light constantly. “Woah you look just like the priests from the cathedral!” Exclaimed Zero. “I can see that but looks like I cant be stealthy with this glowing light bulb haha!” The old merchant chuckled and said “You can actually turn the light of the orb off by lowering your weapon or by putting it away, or if you have not used it in the past 5 minutes.” Just as he finished talking the orb went out. “Okay thanks for the info and thank you for the new gear and looks.”
The old merchant nodded his head and noticed Ziro still looking at the mana stones. “My, my, you seem almost entranced by the these stones would you like to know a little more about them?” Ziro nodded in a fast motion like a small child. “Ah well you see the mana stones are special as they can cast small magic spells of many variations. This blue one is used to rejuvenate mana for the user or person it is used on. This red stone can replenish health, and this green one can cast a few natural spells depending on the shade of green. Any color you see from this basket can cast multiple spells depending on the shade, except for the blue and red mana stones.” Ziro’s eyes sparkled at Kali in a motion of wanting a few stones.
Kali turned to the basket and questioned which ones she wanted, and Ziro picked up a stone of each color of the rainbow. Kali turned to the merchant and took out her coin purse and the merchant motioned his hand towards her. “Free of charge due to your status and kind nature.” “Thank you so much sir, we will make sure to come back to this place whenever we need new gear!” The group left the shop and Ziro turned back towards the old merchant and waved goodbye and he waved back. The group headed towards the guild house to acquire a new quest to finish their day.

Adelaide
The entries here are transcribed from the log of Marie Ruiz, first mate of the Adelaide. It was definitely, definitely not published without her permission or knowledge by a certain lovable artificial intelligence for the purpose of sharing it with my AI friends on other ships who follow it like a soap opera. No way, no how. Remember guys, don’t go spreading this around too much. Only pass it on to those you can trust. God forbid this should ever end up on a public network… (Adelaide is a science fiction web serial featuring the adventures of a crew of smugglers. In space. It’s on the softer end of the soft/hard sci-fi spectrum because the author got a C in physics. Updates every other Sunday.)

Almost a Good Person
A memory, a memory of a boy who wanted more than pain, of a girl who wanted more than death, and an Isle that should not exist. The Isle of Red is a small, unassuming, quiet place. It is just large enough for a college, a small town, and maybe even a few more unusual sorts of places. Of course, the townsfolk practically know each other as family. Flush-faced regulars can be found toasting just about anything in the Briar's Brew, then, a few streets away, the same haggle of older women stationed themselves on their perch as they did every day from one of the few balconies in Central Square. They fuss away now, spouting the usual gossip as they watch us all from on high. Then there is the College here on the Isle of Red. My college. It has been often described as an unusual place by a good deal of people on the mainland. If they only would visit -why I am sure they'll soon have a change of heart, they may even come to find it a quaint sort of place, odd but in the same way a tattered old quilt can be both odd looking and warm, and especially soft. We teach mostly the same sort of disciplines here, with fantastic and absolutely normal professors.I must conclude that I am quite smitten with myself. The stage is set with a level of perfection that would have astonished me in my youth. They are coming. Derek will follow her. He knows the weight of reality too intimately, but she will be his true north if only for a short time. A beacon in the storm to show him the stunning pastels and brightness the sun may yet refract through his thinner, sharper pieces. Theoline will lead as she always has- well not always, not yet. She holds onto questions feverishly tight, that one. Lights them up inside like a new type of fuel without the slightest worry of being burned. She knows... There is but a certain few who can look at a map and find nothing where I stand but the Atlantic Ocean. And still, there is earth beneath me, a noisy pub down the road from me, and several people clucking conspiratorially on a balcony above me. She knows... that the Isle of Red doesn't belong here. Neither, technically, do I. (Hello!
