《Book 1: Demonic Wolfsbane》Chapter 10: Back at Wolf Village

While the moon hung suspended in the air covered by the clouds, the wind blew, and the grass swayed, and the clouds above slowly but surely moved out of the way of the moon
Lighting up the dark night like a smaller version of the sun, the moon shined with all its glory, and grace.
As the moon shown, the sound of howls broke out all around Wolf Village, the entire village at the age of fourteen and over were transforming into Were-Wolves.
Kaleb was a powerful demon now but the his past memories, from when he confronted these demonic beasts from before, when he was a human, made his hair stand up, he shook his head, and let loose a demonic growl of his own in response to all the howls, pumping himself up, his blood boiled with the need for slaughter.
As his Demonic side overtook him, he ran out from the shadows and grabbed a transforming person from behind sinking his teeth into his flesh sucking out his blood and life-force, leaving him drained and dead.
Kaleb felt never felt so alive as he did know, he worked his way forward grabbing unaware people and ripping out their throats, silencing their screams, with the sound of their own gurgling blood.
With each kill he felt his blood-lust increase, and felt his strength slowly build, as he took out all the people standing guard outside, he walked into the first house.
What he saw when he walked inside were a family of transformed wolves, feasting on the corpse of a human, the face and body were in shreds, but the shredded human figure, made him recall his parents bloody figures, screaming in agony.
Enraged he grabbed the nearest wolf by it’s throat and squeezed, crushing its throat, as it yelped and fell dead to the floor.
He let Loose a monstrous roar he was tired of picking them off one by one he wanted to massacre their young and old in front of them, while they were forced helplessly to watch, as they could no nothing.
Finishing off the rest of the family he stomped outside and was met with the streets filled with packs upon packs of wolves, staring bloody murder at him.
Kaleb had gone mad with blood-lust as he roared, he started to take his demon form as his skin darkened from its normal color to complete black, it looked as dark as a starless night sky, and then streaks of red spread all over his body, making it look like he was covered in blood. Spikes and scales erupted out of his skin covering his forearms, forming arm-guards, traveling all along his body, covering his weak spots, spikes were aligned up and down his spine, and then two black wings spread out from behind his back. Finally as his body grew taller and stronger his eyes turned completely red, and his teeth turn into fangs, and his finger-nails and toe-nails turned into sharpened claws, as his hair grew and flowed down onto his shoulders turning from its normal brown color to pitch black with streaks of red within.

His entire body had been transformed into a weapon, a pure killing machine, and there before him stood his victims awaiting slaughter.
Kaleb was filled with ecstasy, he withdrew his wings, for he wanted to kill his enemy with his bare hands and, wouldn’t need to fly. As his wings withdrew into his back, a brave but foolish wolf took this moment to pounce forward attacking Kaleb. The wolf leaped through the air, snarling, mouth open aiming to rip out Kaleb’s jugular, faster than the wolves could see Kaleb stretched out both his hands, and caught the wolf’s fore-legs in one hand and the hind-legs in the other, he lifted the helpless wolf up and then brought it down upon his knee “CRACK” a cracking sound spread throughout the air, as the wolf’s back broke and he landed paralyzed on the ground.
Not done yet Kaleb straightened his hands and fingers like they were two blades, and stabbed into the yowling wolves stomach and then ripped him in two, spreading blood and guts in every direction, and some landing on his body and face, and as the blood trickled down his face, unto his mouth he licked his lips, before uttering these words for all the frightened wolves to hear. “Tastes like wet dog, he must of pissed himself before he died.”
The wolves were outraged and saddened that this young wolf was slaughtered like a helpless chicken in front of the entire packs. They all howled in mourning for the dead young wolf, and then pushing aside their fear they gazed towards the demon that was Kaleb with murder in their hearts and eyes. They all growled as they all charged forward towards the demon, they knew one on one, none were his match, so they decided to kill him with overwhelming force and numbers.
Little did they know that this was exactly what Kaleb wanted, as he tore his way through the crowd he was fast enough, to dodge most attacks, and any attacks that landed, hit his scale and spike hardened body, doing little if at any damage to him. As he weaved his way through the enemy he target the young and the old, he knew from what Beltazaar told him that the young wolves had light brown coats of fur and the old had coats of grey, or streaks of grey.
Slaughtering the young and the old, the pack of wolves were enraged as they piled on top of him, burying him, amongst a sea of wolves. They bit and nipped at him countless times before being able to draw the littlest amount of blood, but it was hard to tell for his demonic form had streaks of red flowing all around his body already. Some wolves clawed and scratched him, and a few even pissed and shit on him.

Kaleb was enjoying the thrill of battle, but when he got buried under all those wolves, he was annoyed, as they drew more and more blood, but when they started shitting and pissing on him. His Mind Exploded with fury as his wings erupted out from his back scattering and flinging wolves everywhere, most landing far away with broken legs and ribs, and a few with crushed skulls. He swept his wings around him like an executioner's blade slashing limbs, and heads from body’s. Countless corpses piled up around him, the fun he was having from the slaughter of so many was ruined by the shameless acts those filthy dogs committed against him, and on him. He was fully enraged and did not care to kill with only his hands, as he swept his wings over and over killing scores of wolves, with each passing moment, the blood mist thickening in the air, and the blood forming large puddles, and miniature rivers to flow through. As the dwindling amount of wolves were being slaughtered an infuriated roar spread throughout the battlefield, a lumbering wolf walked out, it was much larger that the other wolves, but it had streaks of grey within its majestic glistening black coat of fur. Kaleb immediately came to the conclusion that this was the Village Chief finally coming out to the front-lines of battle, after seeing almost all of his clansmen massacred by the young boy they had killed, turned into a horrific demon, that brought forth a calamity to his village.
The transformed Village Chief charged Kaleb, and the other wolves got out his way, ready to provide assistance at a moments notice. As Kaleb fought the Village Chief he came up with an ingenious plot, as he spew hateful words and kicked him in all his weak spots he kept the Village Chiefs attention on him the entire time, for in a life and death battle, a moment of inattention would spell your death.
Kaleb suddenly backed away from the Village Chief and let loose a bone chilling laughter, as the Village Chief wondered what attack the demon Kaleb was about to launch, he stood there braced for whatever was about to come, but then Kaleb just stood there with a smug look on his face. Finally the Village Chief got the feeling that something was wrong, but he dare not take his eyes away from his enemy.
Kaleb on the other hand was finally calmed down after the wolves despicable actions, he stood there with a smug look on his face. “Go ahead look around the battlefield I won’t attack you, I have no need I could have killed you at any time.” He laughed.
The Village Chief knew this new Kaleb was strong and was able to get the upper-hand on him but he still thought that if he squeezed out every last drop of strength within himself he might be able to defeat the Demon that stood before him.
As he swept his gaze around the battlefield he finally realized that he had been deluding himself all along, for as they fought Kaleb had killed the rest of the villagers, leaving only a few, alive but with all their legs broken, so as to keep them from escaping.
The one’s he had left alive were, Elder Sloan, Elder Eli, and his daughter Katelyn, his wife had long since passed. He just know realized that Kaleb was toying with him making him watch as everyone he cared about was killed, as the village he grew up in and protected his whole life, was massacred right in front of his eyes as he was helpless to stop it.
Fear suddenly gripped his heart, he realized Kaleb had left his son and daughter alive, he knew he had no chance know to defeat Kaleb, but if he was lucky he could get his son and daughter to escape somehow, no their legs were broken, maybe if he offered his life, he could get Kaleb to spare them, as for Elder Sloan, he couldn’t care less.
As these thoughts were running through his head, Kaleb was just standing there, grinning, as he watched the sorrow of his entire village being slaughtered and the fear of his life and the lives of his loved ones being held within someone else’s hands. As the fear spread across the Village Chiefs face the grin on Kaleb’s face grew wider and wider. Finally he couldn’t help it anymore and burst out laughing.
Laughter rang out across the blood stained battlefield, and as the laughter spread the Village Chief finally came to a realization, the battle was over, all those lives gone, he had lost, and all that was left was the once proud and lofty Village Chief was to get on his knees and beg with everything he had for the lives of his daughter and son, for he had lost everything.

I am not professionally trained as a writer but I have tried my best to teach myself and make the chapters as clean as possible. I believe I have reached a point where my limited skills cannot improve the work or make any more corrections. It is very difficult to show this work, but if I do not, I fear I will never improve and learn. So here it is. To anyone who lends the time to read all of this and any of my chapters. Thank you.
