《fall into darkness》Chapter 66: The Elevator Shaft

Then in the next moment, the ears were enveloped by a huge roar.
Countless dust mists rolled up, and Du Di'an's body, which jumped high, obeyed the gravity of the earth, and also fell heavily, rolling out of the floor that collapsed on the ground. Rolling all the way, he seemed to have hit countless hard stones along the way. The violent collision made him feel like his body was falling apart, his head slammed on a heavy object, and he suddenly lost consciousness.
I don't know how long it took, Du Di'an felt a little difficult to breathe, and his consciousness struggled to wake up.
In the first act of opening my eyes, it is darkness.
He was startled.
I'm not dead?
The next moment, the severe pain from the whole body made him fully awake, and he couldn't help but take a slight breath of cold air from the pain, only to feel his back pressed against a hard object, stretched out his hand to support the ground, moved his body a little, affecting the whole body. The wound was instantly painful.
Du Di'an's mouth twitched, he didn't dare to move his body, he looked up and looked around, there was a faint and turbid light coming from above his head, he looked up, and he seemed to be able to see the gray sky.
He breathed a sigh of relief, and when his strength recovered a little, he could climb out.
Suddenly, he felt a burning hunger in his stomach, and suddenly thought that his backpack was lost in the previous chase, he sighed secretly in his heart, and at the same time was full of hatred for the hunter. However, filling his stomach is the key now. When he came to the outside of the giant wall, he had not eaten anything. He had been running for his life all day last night. Later, he passed out, and he did not know how long he had been in a coma, but he remembered that it was dusk, and now he can Seeing the light means that it is daytime, and the ideal situation is to be in a coma for only one night.

Du Di'an groped lightly around the palm of his hand, trying to touch some clothes or other things. At this moment, he was so hungry that he could swallow the weeds even if it was a belt.
After touching for a while, he found some metal and broken metal pipes. He seemed to be sitting on a metal block. He smiled bitterly. He only hoped that the collapse of the building would attract Macon or Scott. However, It's a question of whether they're alive or not.
Thinking of this, he suddenly thought, what if such a violent sound attracts walking corpses?
He immediately dismissed the idea of calling for help. Don't wait for rescue, but instead attract a group of walking corpses, that is completely over.
At this time, he suddenly felt that some sticky liquid was flowing down him, and he couldn't help but be stunned. The water source in the building should have been exhausted long ago.
There was a bit of hunger and thirst in his heart. Even if it was radiation rain, he wanted to drink a little at this moment. As long as it could relieve the hunger and burning sensation in his stomach, he felt that he would even take a bite of the corpse of a walking corpse!
He moved his arms slightly, trying not to exert any strength, so as not to affect the wounds all over his body. He slowly picked up a little bit and put it in his mouth. Just as he was about to drink it, he suddenly smelled a strong bloody smell.
is blood?
Du Dian was stunned for a moment, and at this moment, there was a slight movement in the darkness ahead.
Du Di'an's pupils shrank, could it be...
Roar!
As if to confirm his conjecture, a roar suddenly came from the darkness, a few stones were smashed and flew over, a strong smell of blood came, and a hideous roar came from four or five meters ahead.

Black behemoth!
Du Di'an only felt that his heartbeat was about to stop, but it didn't die?
He gritted his teeth, rested his palms on the ground, and moved his body. Every time he moved a little, his whole body felt a severe tearing pain. He was sweating wildly on his forehead, but he still clenched his teeth tightly and moved back inch by inch.
After moving seven or eight times in a row, he moved a distance of two or three meters, and he was so tired that he almost collapsed.
At this time, he suddenly noticed the roaring sound in the darkness ahead. Although it was still roaring continuously, it did not approach. It seemed that...it was stuck in that position.
Du Dian was stunned, a little puzzled, and suddenly thought of a possibility...it was stuck?
Thinking of this, he immediately touched the scythe that he was carrying with him behind his pocket. This thing was not lost. His palm was weak, but he still shivered and struck the scythe, rubbed the flame, and ignited the tinder.
Soon, the faint flames dispelled the darkness nearby.
Du Dian raised the fire to shine, and saw the picture in front of him. He saw the black giant beast lying in a narrow passage in front of him, with some stones scattered around his neck, and kept roaring in a low voice, but failed to reach him. The front crawled, and the body was stuck by the stones piled up behind!
He breathed a sigh of relief, and then he thought about it, fortunately it was stuck, otherwise he would not have waited for himself to wake up and would have been eaten in a coma.
At this time, the tinder was burnt out, and darkness returned to the surroundings.
But Du Di was relieved a little in peace. He had seen the surrounding environment clearly. He and the black giant were in a steel box, like a container. However, there was no container in the building. One place is where he is, in the elevator shaft!

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.

The road ahead was looking great! That's when a little scene occurred between Jacob's girlfriend and one of his male classmates. Jacob's mood was a little lower than dirt from thereon. His motivation to pursue his studies, gone. This event caused Jacob to fall into the death grip that is a job in retail. One day, while Jacob was mopping the cold floors of the grocery store he worked in, a strange blue screen appeared in front of him, notifying him that the world was going through a change. Now if this change was a good or bad thing, he didn't know. But there was one thing Jacob knew for certain. He didn't have to mop the floors anymore. Author's Note: (This is my first story, and I would be very thankful if grammatical errors were pointed out. I could also take a few suggestions in the comments if you would. This is less a planned production, and more a little project that I'm winging as it goes. I will try and be consistent with at least 2 chapters a week. Also, as I am a completely new author, the number of words per chapter may fluctuate. The minimum will be around 1000 words, while other chapters may be 2000-3000. It will hopefully only get better with time.)
