《fall into darkness》"Bright Physique"

"What about the hunter?" Du Di'an couldn't help asking: "Is it going to the dangerous area outside the giant wall? Is there any danger outside the giant wall?" Speaking of this, there were terrifying figures in his mind, and his face changed. It got pale, but fortunately, his complexion was fair, so it wasn't too conspicuous.
"You're smart." The thin young man smiled and said, "Outside the giant wall..."
"Fino!" Another young man frowned and said, "I haven't confirmed his identity yet, don't say too much."
The slender young man named "Fino" was taken aback for a moment, then shrugged: "It doesn't matter, his radiation value is 0.8 scale, no more than 'one', basically a proper "bright physique". "
"Don't come to a conclusion before testing!" Another young man frowned.
Fino thought for a while, then lowered his head and said to Du Di'an: "I can only tell you after you pass the test, but then, someone will explain this to you."
When Du Dian heard their conversation, he was slightly stunned, "Bright physique"? what is this? "
"You'll find out later." Fino smiled mysteriously.
At this time, the three entered the manor, and several gardeners who sprinkled water saw the two of Fino and respectfully nodded and saluted. All the way along the white stone path paved in the middle of the lawn, the three came to the front of the castle, the giant gate more than ten meters high slowly opened, Fino led Du Di'an in, came to one of the steeple towers, and followed the winding steps, came to a dark top-floor room.
I saw a large number of servants along the way. When these people saw Fino and the two, they respectfully shouted "sir".
Du Di'an looked at this dark room. There were no windows. The only small window for ventilation was also covered by black curtains. Perhaps it was because of the lack of sunlight for a long time. The air in the room was colder than the temperature in the early days of the disaster and rainy season.

In the center of the room, there was an isolated metal table covered with a black cloth. Fino stepped forward and lifted it up, revealing a smooth crystal ball. White cold air rose from under the crystal ball, which was actually a pile of ice cubes.
"Come on, little guy." Fino took out a sharp knife from the inside of the black leather armor, looked back at Du Di'an, and said, "Come here."
Du Di'an saw that he still had a smile on his face and had no killing intent, so he slowly stepped forward and got closer. Suddenly, he saw a very pure white bug in the almost transparent crystal ball. If you don't look carefully, almost invisible.
"This is a 'bright bug' that likes to survive in cold environments. "Fino smiled and said: "If you have a bright constitution, it will not eat your blood. "After that, I grabbed Du Dian's little hand and moved it to the top of the crystal ball. There just happened to be a small round hole at the top. This crystal ball was actually a container.
With a stroke of the blade, Du Di'an felt a slight pain in his finger, and a drop of blood dripped down from the fingerprint, just fell into the round hole and slid inward.
At this time, the "Bright Worm" sleeping soundly in the crystal ball seemed to be disturbed. It woke up from a sweet dream and raised its head slightly towards the place where the blood had slipped as if sniffing. The next moment, it crawled towards the blood.
Seeing this scene, Fino's face changed, and the other young man frowned.
Du Dian thought of Fino's previous words, and his heart sank.
I saw that the bright worm quickly climbed to the front of the blood, and then, its body was like a sponge, sucking the blood, and the pure white body also became a blush, but the blush soon gradually dissipated and recovered. Pure white.
"Impossible..." Fino frowned and murmured, "Is it because I haven't eaten for too long and I'm too hungry?"

With a slash in his hand, he cut his fingers and dripped blood.
However, the bright worm didn't even look at it, crawled back to the cold part of the bottom of the crystal ball, and curled up.
Fino's face became gloomy, and he squeezed Du Dian's little hand without saying a word, cut it quickly, dripping blood, and when the blood just fell into the crystal ball, the light worm crawled over and quickly inhaled.
"Really not!" Fino seemed a little discouraged, let go of Du Dian's little hand, and put away his own knife.
Another young man looked at Du Dian and said indifferently: "It seems that your previous family was pretty good."
Du Di'an probably knew the reason at this time. The "bright physique" in Fino's mouth is just that the immune antibody to radiation in the body is higher than that of ordinary people, so the radiation content in the body is lower than that of ordinary people. Humans are the "hunter" partners they are looking for, but they are not. It is just because the exposure to this world is too short after coming out of the freezer, so the radiation content in the body is not high.
Hearing another young man's words, Du Di'an immediately understood what he meant, and his heart was secretly stunned. It seems that these people have already investigated themselves and know that they and the Jula couple are adopted, and most of them also know that they have not been in Meishan Orphanage for long. , The reason why he said this is that he mistakenly thought that he was a child abandoned by aristocratic or wealthy families. Only the food and drink of these families were repeatedly filtered, and the radiation content was extremely low.
"I didn't expect it to be just an abandoned rich kid, happy for nothing." Fino sighed with disappointment on his face.
Du Di'an was not disappointed. Once he became a hunter, he would go to those dangerous areas. Although he didn't know what the danger was, it was best not to be as dangerous as he imagined.
Another young man looked at Du Dian and said in a cold voice: "Little guy, you must not say anything about this place, you know, including the word "hunter"! "
Is this permission suppression? Du Dian nodded and said, "I will keep my mouth shut."
The young man saw that he was so obedient, and the chill in his eyes lightened slightly, he snorted coldly and said to Fino: "Fortunately, your big mouth didn't talk too much, otherwise you can only "handle" this little guy. "
Hearing this, Du Di's heart froze, and his life was almost buried inadvertently? At the same time, he was also a little angry at the cold words of this young man. In the eyes of the other party, there was no respect for life at all!
But soon, he was stunned. In this world, maybe his life is really cheap!
Thinking of this, he felt more and more that he had to make one or two things to save his life first, otherwise, he would die like this for no apparent reason and go to hell. How could he face his parents who gave him his life twice?
"Firearms can't be done yet, but gunpowder seems to be able to..." Some thoughts flashed in his mind.
The two of Fino had no idea what kind of terrifying weapon was emerging in the mind of the child besides their legs.
"Hey!" Fino still couldn't hold back his regret, and said to Du Di'an: "Let's go, little guy." There was no half of the previous enthusiasm and friendliness in his attitude.
"Where?"
"Why don't you ask, go where you should go, you must remember it for me, don't tell anyone about us, including your parents, if you are found to be leaking secrets, you can only blame yourself for being unlucky. ."
"What about the hunter?"

Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.
