《The Celestial Swordsman》Chapter 2.5: The Knights That Enforce The Divine Index

The knights clad in white armor burst through. In total there were three of them and all of them came into the room of the meeting in rapid succession.

"You have broken the Divine Index's line C.51 - secretive, illegal gathering, and B.23 - plotting against the King of your current Empire." the knight closest to them spoke, their voice muffled by their helmet, "Surrender now or you will be executed right here!"

"What the—" Hoshi began saying, but was shortly cut off by Inei.

"The hell do you want punks?" the darkly dressed man yelled, "Your 'Divine Index' is bullshit!"

"Wait, Inei—" Homura yelled, but it was already too late. Inei jumped on the table and leaped to attack the closest knight. "I can take on all three of you weaklings! You'll pay for what you did!" Inei said as he charged a dark, magic ball to attack with.

"Defensive position!" the white knight in front, the seeming leader of the group, gave orders and pulled out their sword, along with the two behind them who did the same. The knights behind then started to chant some sort of spell and suddenly clones, ten in total, began to appear around them.

The knight in front grabbed Inei's hand before he could unleash his attack and hit the enraged young man to the side with the dull part of their blade. At the same time, the clones managed to grab most of the other guild members. These surely did seem stronger than the ordinary, video game clones. Either these clones were as strong as the original or the original was just five times stronger than each of them. Either way, it seemed that the knights had apprehended the rogue guild members and Inei was out cold.

"Criminal scum." the knight in front scuffed, "On the terms of you breaking the Divine Index, line A.09 - resisting enforcement of the Divine Index, you all shall be executed."

The knight stepped closer to Hoshi, who was being held down by a clone and was the closes one to them, the knight swung their sword in the air ready to crash it down on to Hoshi's neck. And that's exactly what happened. Except - the knight had swung their blade down to Hoshi, but upon almost touching Hoshi's skin, the blade was shattered by a bright blue light.

"What the?" the knight asked confused, "Wait..." The knight then pulled back the armor and shirt on Hoshi's back and there, under the neck of Hoshi was a symbol. The symbol was of a diamond-shaped star, surrounded by two circles and smaller star-like dots. This was...

"The symbol of the Celestials?" the knight gasped, "You're blessed by a Celestial."

"Y-yes..." Hoshi answered, nervous, "Now if you could just let me go and I could calmly explain what's going on."

The knight thought for a moment, then turned to one of the knights behind her, signaling to let Hoshi go as she said: "Commander Queya."

The clone let go of Hoshi and he stood up, gasping for air. Hoshi then proceeded to explain to the knights, about the raging villagers, drugs, the possible curse, and the King's and the Council's involvement in it.

"Oh my..." the knight in front said, taking off their helmet, revealing the face of a beautiful girl, "That's why we're here too."
