《The Celestial Swordsman》Chapter 1.9: Taking On Half of the Mountains Deadliest Tribe

This time Hoshi couldn't waste any time. Last time Hoshi was battling for the first time and was holding back but with half of the tribe's members attacking him, Hoshi couldn't afford to waste time or hold back.
Hoshi placed his sword in front of him, turning it horizontally, blocking almost all of the incoming attacks. The attacks he didn't block with the shield he fended off with his sword.
The members were rushing in and getting pushed back by Hoshi only to run straight back.
The two enemies went back and forward hurting each other.
Slowly, Hoshi was getting more and more hurt. Each small cut by the tribe's members left Hoshi more hurt.
Hoshi swung his sword to the right and then quickly swung it back up at the waist level of his enemies, slicing four of them in half and injuring another one.
Hoshi then leaped in the air, swung his sword in the air and smashed it back into the ground, making it rumble with Celestial energy, knocking three of his enemies prone. Now there were only five left standing - a human, a goblin, an elf, a half-ogre and a dwarf, all looking icy cold.
The human, who had light blue hair that looked almost white was enraged. He yelled out a battle cry as his eyes shone bright red. He was the first to strike. He was incredibly fast and managed to hit Hoshi's waist, the only thing stopping it from being cut was his armor. Then the man swung his sword at Hoshi's neck and sliced off Hoshi's head.
At least that's what would have happened if Hoshi hadn't blocked it by turning his sword vertically, the man's sword only seconds away from Hoshi's neck.
Hoshi tilted the sword downwards, smacking the man's sword down to the ground, forcing him to drop it.

Now without a weapon, he began bare fist punching Hoshi, while he blocked the hits with his shield.
The others didn't just stand around and watch. Oh no. As soon as Hoshi was busy defending the man's punches the other tribe members who were left began striking Hoshi.
As soon as he felt the sharp pain of daggers, ax's and other sharp objects pierce his armor and skin he began rapidly blocking every single attempt to touch him.
Hoshi's sword moved faster than the naked eye could see. None of the remaining enemies were able to lay a finger on him.
Remembering what he had come to do, Hoshi quickly switched from defending to counter attacking. Hoshi simultaneously pulled his shield closer and he pointed his sword at the other four tribe members.
Hoshi then full force pushed the shield out, knocking the man attempting to punch him out cold and began stabbing the four others.
The five of them fell on the floor, cold, but not dead.
Hoshi then sighed, turned around, and finished opening the door.
The room inside was dark, deep, huge, and had an evil aura.
Scared, but determined, Hoshi began walking into the room and disappeared into the darkness.

I write for fun only, and this book is an amateurish attempt at showcasing my world on The Spear and The Cross. If you still want to stick around, then go ahead. Maybe it'll be a fun ride. And also, a big thanks to my artist friend, Milkuii, for the wonderful cover art.
