‘That fucker caught my fireball with his bare hands. And he is laughing like fucking maniac. What a crazy bastard? I don’t feel like I can win. I should run.’

Even the Hobgoblin boss was shocked by this behavior from the human in front of his eyes. He knew that the human in front of his eyes was several levels below him. There is now way he could lose to him. He had never lost to anyone in is life. He believed that he was born to rule the dungeon.

He had seen several human adventurers before. Once he saw that they were higher level than him he would hide and survive. But he has wiped out many parties of adventurers who are around his Level. He was proud of defeating this one adventurer called Reinhardt. Reinhardt was Level 26 when he defeated him. All his party members were also higher than Level 20, while the Hob still had not evolved into his current form.

‘Humans are born strong. But they can never evolve. They are limited by their levels. But we are different as long as we keep winning, we will keep getting stronger. We evolve and overcome our level cap. I have evolved already. Yet why do I feel like I can’t defeat this human.’

Because you can’t.

‘If I can’t defeat him. I will run. One day, when I am strong enough, I will destroy him.’

The boss orders his minions to stop Allen and he starts running away all by himself.

“Oh, you are trying to escape all by yourself? How about you just give up on pointless things.”

Allen makes a [chi blade] in his hands and throws it towards the Hobgoblin who is trying to run. One of the minions jumped in front of the Hob to protect him. The minion gets pierced by the blade and dies instantly. The blade disappears into thin air after it hits the ground. The hobgoblin has a panicked look on his face.

Allen rushes to the Hobgoblin though the horde of goblins. The goblins who were on his way were all cut down without any mercy. Allen made another [chi blade] which he tried to push into the Hobgoblin’s chest. A barrier appears in front of the Hob and he is saved from getting pierced by the [chi blade]. Allen follows his attack with a knee strike which connects on the head. The hob falls down on the ground from that knee strike. Allen kicks the fallen body of the Hobgoblin. Hobgoblin gets blasted to the wall of the dungeon.

‘If I didn’t manage to block those attacks with [barrier] I would have certainly died. I never thought there would be a low leveled human who is so strong. He still managed to deal damage to me through the barrier.’

The Hobgoblin slowly manages to get up.

“It is a surprise that you are still alive. Is it because you have a 5-digit HP? Or is it because you managed to block my attacks with that barrier of yours?”

The Hobgoblin falls on its knees and kowtows before him as if it is begging Allen to let him go.

“Are you asking me to let you go? I never thought I would see a monster begging their life. But why should let you go? Is there any merit for me if I let you go?”

The Hobgoblin shakes due to fear. The only hope he has left is the mercy of this human who is in front of his eyes.

“I am sorry. I really am. But I don’t know how strong the others are in this world. And I am not benevolent enough to put my own life in danger for others. You will have to die and give me that sweet sweet XP of yours. You are a more than double my level. I am pretty darn sure that I will level up at least twice if I kill you.”

The Hobgoblin is still kowtowing before Allen.

“It’s not like you understand me. The best I can do for you is to give you a quick and painless death.”

Allen makes a [chi blade] and trusts it into the back of the hobgoblin who was still kowtowing before him. The corpse of the Hobgoblin disappears and only leaving behind his staff.

“I have leveled up thrice from that. That’s pretty lucky”

Allen seems happy about the level ups.

“It seems like the staff is not gonna disappear. I am gonna keep this as memory of the first monster who knelt before me.”

Allen put the staff inside his inventory.

“Well it’s time to hunt the small flies now.”

Allen turns towards where the group of goblins were before. The poor fuckers started running wherever they could. They are so afraid of Allen.

‘It seems like there is around 200 or 300 of them left. They should give me at least one more level.’

“It is pointless to run. There are not many places in which you can go in this dungeon. I will hunt you down eventually.”

Allen rushes towards the goblins and in moments almost all of them gets slaughtered.

[You have leveled up.]

“The rest of you seem to be lucky. I won’t kill you for now. I have gotten the level up which I wanted.”

The few goblins who were left alive ran out from Allen’s line of sight in a frenzy. It seems like Allen is not quite as a goblin slayer as I thought he would be. Well it is not like the goblins of this world rape women adventurers to breed or something extreme like that. But they still kill humans though and the even eat human flesh sometimes. Maybe Allen should have finished all of them off.

“I have gotten quite a few level ups. I guess it is time to check status.”
