《The Elder Lich That Wanted Peace and Quiet》Chapter 7 A Chilly Weekend

Winter knocked on their door, a portion of the mansion was cover by a thick layer of snow. The snow left everyone trapped inside leaving them to their own will. Sin took this opportunity to fall into a deep sleep, granting the servants time to themselves. The first to cause ruckus is Sun, her appearance and personality changed back to her former self. She bounced along the hallway with her skeleton puppy chasing her,
"Come on girl!"
The spirit and her dog race to one of the five living rooms, Moon lays in the shadows relaxing, her third form has fully enveloped her.
"Hey my pretty little thing, when did you get here,"
Moon lazily about looking for an excuse to cause something to happen. The super hyper Sun calmed herself, sitting next to the fireplace practically touching it,
"Do you know where Sin is, I checked his usual spots but he is not there. Even his bed-chamber is empty,"
Moon hatched a fun little idea, "I know where he is but I don't think it is a good idea to tell my hyper little darling."
She rolls off the couch into a shadow, "Aww please, I won't cause him trouble."
Moon found the words she was looking for, her aura extinguished the fireplace completely blackening the room. The only source of light was Sun sitting next to the dead fireplace, she feels hands feel up her warm body,
"Only if you promise,"
a whisper came from next to her ear. The eeriness frightens Sun,
"Um Moon, I promise,"
the fire burned alive again in the fireplace. Moon wrapped her arms around Sun from behind lifting her up,
"My sweet Sun, of course, I will show you, I can never hide anything from you!"
She slowly changed her forms until her first form was left, Sun took her by the hand tugging her out of the room into a hallway that is lit poorly. Moon was visibly enjoying her self holding onto a smile while the three played in the gigantic hallway. The two galloped through the hallway, wearing the biggest smiles. Moon transformed into black smoke and circled Sun as she pranced around,

"Come on Sun, this way!"
Moon in shadow form floated down the hallway, turning right instead of keep going straight. The shadow stopped at a wall, Moon took the form of her small fragile-looking body, her hair was jet black with clothes that were made out of a black mist. Her skin was as white as the marble pillars in the hallway, it showed that she didn't get out much. Sun halted to a stop, having her curly flames on the top of her head sway forward then back, her skin burned a dark orange almost like she has a tan. The adorable fire spirit's clothes resembled a summer dress, the bright blue eyes stared, full of pureness and innocence.
"Are we here?"
Moon just nodded, her expression was more than enough to scare Sun, with a push of brick the wall split open. Darkness clouded the room, an abyss of darkness took the room, both slowly entered holding one's hand, squeezing it tightly ignoring the pain it caused. The room had no light in it and Sun's body didn't affect the brightness of the room. The wall behind them closed making Moon jump with fear, a second pass,
"Sin, are you there,"
after a long pause, Sun askes again,
"Sir, master are you there."
A minute of waiting later, she is about to ask one more time but a burst of bright light ignites the room blinding the two girls,
"Happy birthday Sun!"
Sun is finally able to see, revealing a room full of Sin's underlings. A table sat in the middle of the room and a whole ten platters filled with hot brownies were place down on it. All the torches were lit, Sin used a spell to keep the room darken. Moon had a little smirk put hid it with a smile, Sin walks towards Sun, kneeling in front of her,
"Happy birthday my little sunshine."

Sun showed the biggest grin, her eyes watered but immediately evaporated into steam,
"Thank you soo much!"
Her body's flame grew huge as she hugged him,
"Don't thank me, it was Moon who planned this."
She turns to Moon, "Really Moon, you planned all this,"
she nodded shyly not sure how she will react. Sun embraced her, holding her tightly,
"Thank you, Moon, you are the best,"
The pain didn't matter to Moon, just the pure love she felt from Sun was worth it. They hug for a good few seconds until Sun released her hug. Moon's body was sizzling in both terms,
"Okay you two, let's enjoy this party."
Moon yanked Sun around to a party game, she couldn't help but feel shy after being pulled around.
"This is my favorite game,"
Moon finally stopped yanking Sun around, they played and play while Sin kept busy with his underlings from around the world,
"Fey, how are the girls doing,"
Fey a pretty lady who looks like a human-sized fairy, her blue hair bounced around every time she moved around.
"They are great, San my goofy boy is learning earth magic while my sweet little pearl is focusing on water magic."
"That's good, I hope they make you proud," he walks around asking everyone how they are doing.
He moves onto a man and woman flame spirit, both flames are a dark blue, they have skin like a normal human but their hair is a dark blue flame. Sin goes to shake their hands but it is cold to the touch,
"I see my daughter is still acting, risqué,"
his little boldness when he stared at the two having fun. That little jab at Sun got Sin a little ticked off,
"And why do you think that is a bad thing, it's her life and she is my servant."
He backed down, fully knowing who he is messing with.
"Yes sorry my lord, I meant nothing by it, it was just a stupid comment I made."
He nodded and moved on, he made his way to a hidden figure who was sitting in the corner talking to herself.
"I didn't know Ash would send his most treasured ally to a birthday party,"
he leaned against the wall she had her back against.
"Oh if it isn't the big bone lord, yes Ash sent me. He said he wanted to come but Athena caused trouble for Hera and he had to sort it out."
He couldn't help but think of Ash summoning his familiar to sort it out for him,
"So Isabel how have you been, I heard you won a war by yourself, if I can recall you are following in Ash's footsteps. He was the most feared god when it came to war, even Aries feared him."
Sin snapped back to reality, "Anyways tell him I said you don't have to worry and thank you Isabel for being here."
She nodded opening a portal next to her, "See you around bone head,"
falling into the portal and disappearing with it.
"What a joker,"
the rest of the party goes off without a hitch, everyone has a smile on their face or well try because some can't have facial expressions. Everyone started leaving only the main group remained, Sun and Moon tired themselves out with the chocolate brownies and games. Sin laid them down on their beds and finally finding himself at his bed-chamber plopping himself down and resting for the night.

Please share your thoughts about the story! Feedback and criticism is welcome, it'll help me improve my writing. "The final year of high school is the most difficult." This statement has never been truer for Damis, a student attending one of the many schools in the City of Sundridge. He never wanted anything more than to live a peaceful life, going so far as to avoid having large group of friends, indulging in dragged out conversations, or being involved in any other activity that requires him to invest a large amount of effort to accomplish. Instead, he poured all of his efforts into studying, dwelling in his internal monologues, and complaining about the things that annoy him to his one and only friend, Noah. Before long, he ended up as one of the best students in his class. As far as he was concerned, he was content with how he lived. But, after a confrontation with an eccentric girl named May, one of his classmates since the first year of high school, things have suddenly gotten out of hand. And as a result, his life became a lot more hectic than it used to be. Bound by a deal he could not refuse, his life as May's assistant began. At this rate, can he still spend the final days of his high school life in peace? Welcome to the life of Damis, the boy who's always A Step Behind Death. The cover art is made by friend of mine. I plan on making this novel into a webtoon once it becomes the best it can be. English isn't my first language, so expect some grammar bumps along the way.
