In the letter Mu Qing left before she killed herself, she was still imploring Li Qiaosheng desperately to let her daughter go and she was willing to give up her own life for his mother's.

When Mu Ziyou sees the letter and then stares at her lifeless mother lying in a pool of blood, she only feels that the sky has collapsed and she is almost out of breath with the great pressure looming large.

"Ah---" Ignoring all the people around who are murmuring and gossiping, Mu Ziyou falls down onto the ground and suddenly lets out a long and crazy scream in despair.

When Li Qiaosheng arrives, he happens to see this heartbreaking scene. He is touched too and his expression changes slightly. But when he thinks of his mother's death, his expression becomes cold again. He walks over and grasps one of Mu Ziyou's arms and says, "Come on! Go to the funeral with me!"

At the same time, the medical staff also show up and intend to take Mu Qing's body to the morgue.

On seeing this, Mu Ziyou pushes Qiaosheng's hand hard away for the first time and struggles forward to protect her mother's body. She shakes her head with force and tries to keep the medical staff away. "Go away! Don't take my mom away! My mom is fine. She can be cured! You can't give up on her yet!"

"Youyou, don't behave like this. Your mom is dead. She did this just for you. If you hadn't killed Auntie Bai, your mom wouldn't have made such a big sacrifice. You should understand why she had done so..." Actually Xia Wanyan has been hiding herself among the crowd. She just rushes out to help comfort her the moment she sees Li Qiaosheng coming.

But these words irritate Mu Ziyou's fragile nerves even more. She clearly knows that Bai Yun was not killed by her. Why should Mom atone for what she has never done?

All anger in her heart suddenly spurts out. She then turns around and tussles with Xia Wanyan. She doesn't bother to mind that many people are around watching. She gets over and sits on Xia Wanyan's body and firmly covers Xia Wanyan's mouth with her hand and shouts, "You are smearing me again! I didn't kill Qiaosheng's mom at all. I didn't! Seeing that the scene is getting out of control, Li Qiaosheng immediately signals with his eyes to the medical staff to take the dead woman away. He leaves without even a glance back at Xia Wanyan who is still lying on the ground with a pale face.

At the funeral for Bai Yun, Mu Ziyou, a dead-alive person now, thinks of her mother who has just died. Instead of taking care of her own mother's death, she is forced to kneel in front of the coffin of Bai Yun with her feet and hands restrained by the specially-made iron chains from her husband. On thinking of this, she can't contain herself any more and lets out a wail.

People attending this funeral have heard her heart-breaking cry and think that she finally comes to repent and blame herself for the crime she has committed.

Even Li Qiaosheng thinks so. He has finished his call and comes back from outside when he hears it.

He is thinking of taking Mu Ziyou to the crematorium to see her mother for the last time when Mu Ziyou faints down because of the fits of pain in her lower abdomen. She can't sustain herself and falls down during which process her head hits against the corner of the coffin.

Qin Yang, who is hiding among the crowd at the funeral, rushes to help Mu Ziyou, a step faster than Li Qiaosheng. He feels that Mu Ziyou's vitality is draining away quickly. He suddenly shouts at her in anxiety, "Youyou, wake up! Don't you care about your baby?"

"Baby..." Mu Ziyou lets out the word with great effort and subconsciously puts her hands around her abdomen. However, her hands fall down finally because she is running out of strength.

Qin Yang is flustered. He picks up the skinny woman in his arms with ease and starts to rush outside. But when Li Qiaosheng hears that the baby is still alive, he stops Qin Yang and wants to make clear of the situation.

"Li Qiaosheng, if you don't step aside, Youyou and your baby will both be dead!"

Qin Yang spares one hand and takes out and throws the real paternity test report on the ground. When Li Qiaosheng stares at the report dumbfounded, Qin Yang takes the advantage of it and rushes to the hospital.

Xia Wangyan stands next to Li Qiaosheng, and her face changes when she sees the report. She wants to snatch away that report. But it is too late because Li Qiaosheng quickly picks up the report from the ground before her. After seeing the contents of the report, he feels chills suddenly coming out from every pore of his whole body.

Outside the operating room, the moment the light is off, Li Qiaosheng quickly steps forward and grasps the doctor's arm who is still sweating and asks about Mu Ziyou's condition.

The doctor replies cautiously with an apologetic look, "Sorry, President Li. Mrs. Li's will to survive is too weak. We really have tried our best."
