It was final two days until the wedding and they still didn't have a wedding cake or sent out the invitations. Thranduil called for Alassie because he had something on his mind he needed to talk about.

" You sent for me," said Alassie.

" Yes, please sit," he said, " A friend asked me two weeks ago if I could help him with something and I said yes. Well it turns out that this question he asked was too much for me to answer so I have been think and I thought you could help me out."

" Okay what is it?" Alassie asked.

" Well this friend of mine is supposed to get married to a woman he like but he likes another woman better and he doesn't know which one to chose. So what would you do?" he said.

" Well if I was him I would chose the one he liked more because there is no point in marrying someone you don't truly love," said Alassie.

" Thanks so much," he said, " I feel a lot better now that I can send him an answer."

" Your welcome, but if you excuse me I have some work to get done," said Alassie smiling. Shortly after Alassie left Thranduil wrote a letter and told one of his guards to send it at once.

Kedi was sitting in her room when a letter arrived. The letter said that Thranduil wanted to meet with her. Kedi quickly got ready and met him at a balcony.

" What is wrong?" Kedi asked.

" I am going to say this in the nicest way possible, but Kedi I can't marry you. I am sorry I think we should just be friends. I love someone else," Thranduil said not looking at her. Half smiling Kedi said,

" I know." After a few minutes of silence Kedi said,

" I know someone out there who loves you and I think you should go find her." Then she left. When she had said that Alassie was walking into the woods to paint. Thranduil saw her and smiled. He quickly left his room and went after Alassie.

Alassie was painting the woods and Kedi and Thranduil standing there holding hands when she heard a voice behind her. It was Thranduil.

" Why hello," she said laughing, " Can I help you with anything?"

" Yes, in fact you can," he said grabbing her hands, " you can make me the happiest man on earth and marry me." Slightly shock Alassie said,

" Nice joke, but your getting married to Kedi."

" No I am not. I called the wedding off because I am in love with someone else. You," he said smiling," everyday after you would leave from a assignment I would worry about you and when you came back from fighting the orcs and you were badly hurt I wanted to sit by you and hold your hand until you regained conciseness. The first day I saw you in that blue, long dress I wanted to hide you from everyone so no one could take you. I don't know why I let you go of you, but every part of me regrets it." Kneeling down on one knee Thranduil said,

" Will you marry me?" Trying to hold back tears Alassie said in a joking way,

" No." then started crying and said,

" Yes, yes, yes, I will marry you. Thranduil got up and started wiping her tears then they kissed.

A few months later they got married and Alassie become Queen of Mirkwood. As for Kedi, she would drop by and visit but soon she got married and started a family of her own.
