"Are you okay? Why are you crying?"
Those words, those kind questions, brought Rin's mind from its dark abyss and made her pay attention to the owner of this voice, who without her noticing, was just a meter away, causing her to be surprised and will back down.
Once Rin took distance from him, she could look at him better and noticed that he was a young man with a few years older than her, who was wearing elegant clothes, for which she immediately lowered her head and apologized saying.
"I'm sorry young master, for not greeting you, I beg your forgiveness to this humble servant," Rin said hastily, knowing that she was the oldest of the master's four children, who had only seen, sometimes from afar.
"Easy, don't worry, you're not in trouble, I just saw you a little down and I wanted to see what you had," said the young master with a smile.
"Thank you very much for your compassion, this maid is fine, it is nothing that the young master should worry about."
But the young master ignored her excuse approaching her, then with his hand he took her chin and raised her face to see her better, revealing her watery silver eyes and a puffing cheek.
"What a horror, how can someone be so cruel, tell me who it was, I'll see that justice is done since in this house abuse is not allowed and everyone is treated the same," said the young master with tenderness and concern for her, which Rin It seemed very strange but happy to her, but this only lasted an instant before her, for fear of some punishment due to a confusion she expressed.
"Young master, please have mercy, do not touch this humble servant, this servant is herself a beastly hybrid and does not deserve your compassion and I fear that I am contaminating him, with my being.

When the young master heard this confection, he released it a little surprised, to then see it again and tell him with a smile.
"It certainly surprises me, since it seems to me you are a human, but I will believe you and I will tell you, that even if you are of the race you are, you have the right to receive fair treatment, so do not worry and you will see that you will receive justice."
And with that said, that young master left the place, leaving little Rin lost in his thoughts and blushing, thus with some hope inside her.
Hope that was answered the next day, when Rin was getting ready with the other servant to go to work, when suddenly, one of her companions came to the room announcing news.
"Listen," she said, drawing the attention of all. "I just found out that Yi was expelled from the back section, and the reason is that he dared to hit a companion."
And in front of this news, the others began to speak lively on this subject, some of them giving their opinion with fear about whether they will be the next ones or eagerly as if it were foreign and juicy news for her.
But unlike her, Rin on her side thought
[This cannot be true, back section, hit a servant, could it be that the young master kept his promise? No, no, no, it must be a coincidence] Rin lied to herself, in vain sure before the disappointment.
So with this news overcome, Rin continued her work as usual, because she reasoned that this fact regardless of whether it was a coincidence or not, her life would continue the same, or so she believed.
This is because, while she was working, she was summoned by the head servant, who almost as soon as she arrived, to her room, threw her a blue uniform, a symbol of the back section servants.
"And this?" Rin asked puzzled with the uniform in her hands, after stopping him.
"You've been promoted to the back section, congratulations," the head servant announced with a scowl.

Life is Feudal
No OP stuff, status bars, levels or skills. This story is in favour of more realistic setting in a world of humans and various monsters. "Behind the mask of the assertive, resolute facade that employs ruthless routes at any given moment, lies the frail, anxious heart that were once but a puny human. Reviled and revered by many, none would ever know my true allegiance lies within myself, merely trying to survive this mess." Just the life of a grumpy man child living in a terrible piece of shit or a desolate state in which I call an alternate historical take on medieval Europe. Living as a peasant who is forced to take up arms to defend his own kin. This story grants an insightful take on the life of people living under constant danger, from vying nobles who commit atrocities in the name of justice, eager nations and barbarians aiming to take a piece of the bountiful land and mythical divine monsters who resembles a walking catastrophe in any possible way. [If you're easily offended by alternate-history religion and cultural practices, then you shouldn't read this.]
