Rumble rumble

An empty place with lightning and thunder around everywhere.

Leo was looking around instead of panicking he was rather clam.

He muttered “Am I in hell?”

Then he smiled “I was thinking of getting power like lightning so you are showing me it.”

As he said this a bolt fell on him and earth started to vibrate

Leo sat up straight and felt something was stuck in his throat.

Spat

Leo coughed out water from his mouth which made him feel great and took a deep breath.

“Where am I, am I still alive?”

There was no one speaking but a page was held in front of him by a slightly dirty hand.

As Leo eyes regained focus he saw a girl half head shorter than him looking at him with bright eyes holding a paper.

“Where am I?”

The Girl pointed on the paper.

Leo looked at the paper.

‘Hi who are you and you were floating on the on the river so I saved you and this is Ranka Village.”

Leo read it.

Leo bowed towards here “Thank you.”

The girl smiled and shook her head.

Leo tried to stand but he failed as if all his strength has been sapped out.

His stomach rang which made him embarrassed.

The girl smiled.

As if she had already knew that he was going to be hungry she gave him a plate full of Indian food.

Leo was a person who lived on instant noodles was salivating on seeing the food and started to gobble up like hungry for days.

After devouring food for few minutes he remembered he hadn’t asked her name.

“Excuse me would you please tell me your name.”

The girl nodded.

And started to scribble on the paper.

Leo was startled “Are you mute ah sorry for the rudeness.”

Leo scratched his neck as he was a person who would spend 90 percent of his time at home.

She didn’t mind it and nodded and showed him a paper.

“My name is Eve it was given to me by the nurse who takes care of me.”

“Eve a nice name my name is Leo and I too am an orphan.”

Leo now finally looked at her and saw that she was wearing rough clothes but that didn’t hide her beauty.

Leo asked “You don’t look like a village girl.”

Eve nodded and pointed at the first aid kit besides her.

“You are from hospital. Is there any accident in the village?”

Eve nodded and wrote on the paper.

‘Due heavy rains landslide occurred and many people were wounded so the nearby hospital was called for first aid.’

Leo “Ok, Let’s go out maybe I can help.”

Leo as gained some energy and stood up wobbling.

Eve nodded and made a gesture to follow her.

Outside the hut.

The sun was about to set.

Leo asked “How many hours was I asleep.”

Eve raised one finger.

Leo was confused as he fell in the river at morning but now it’s at least 6 pm here. What was I doing for rest of the time floating? He tried to use his mobile.

‘Thank god it’s working sure enough Nokia is the best at durability.’

There was faint signal which was enough to point his location but that startled him as he was now near Lonawala which was more than 100 kilometers from his house.

“What F**k I floated from Thane to Lonawala but there are no scratches on my body.”

As Leo was stunned form his thoughts they reached the land slide area where villagers were busy moving rocks and mud out from their farms. A little far away an ambulance was waiting and a middle aged nurse was bandaging a child.

Leo “You go do your work I will help the villagers here.”

Eve nodded and went away. (All languages will be written in English for convenience.)

Leo went towards a strong build man who was guiding the villagers.

“Uncle is there something where I can help.”

“Hmm you are the drowning boy right if you are feeling well then you should move the rocks as you may not able to use other tools properly may injure yourself.”

Leo was embarrassed at his straightforwardness.

“Okay.”

Then he went towards a rock which was barely the size of two basketball and lifted it.

‘Hmm something’s not right why it is so light anyway let’s go and why my chest feels warm.’

As he joined the villagers the well-built man was stunned and spoke happily “Boy you must work out a lot you lifted a 100 kg stone with ease.”

Leo was stunned as he knew his limits he never ever lifted 50 kg* due to his low nutrition. Then he remembered when he was drowning he pushed away a rock way bigger than this.

Leo “Didn’t breaking the body limits only occur in danger and it also damages the body too???”
