"Alex, could you show me the place where you took bath?" Evelyn felt uncomfortable with her sweaty body and wanted to clean herself as soon as possible.

"Okay" Alex and Evelyn ran towards the pond. Evelyn suggested rushing because she wanted to leave this damned place as soon as possible.

Evelyn was surprised by how Alex found this secret place in the forest. The path was covered with lush grass covering half of their bodies. Normally in a forest, everyone would think twice before trading this path. She was surprised to see how he found a path in his condition.

"Ahmm...Alex could you stay near...I am afraid something might happen to you!" Evelyn suggests as she was shy to ask him to stay near while she was half naked bathing and was also afraid to leave him alone.

Alex smiled since he knew her concern and revealed his cultivation.

He was surprised to see a tree rearing two fruits at the same time. Even in his previous owner's memories, there aren't any memories regarding this tree.

"So the tree is called as Blood moon devil tree! Do you know why there aren't any monster near the surrounding area? And why don't my previous body owner has any information regarding this kind of tree?" he asked the Universe System.

"First, not only monsters even humans don't dare to take a 100 meters near this tree because this tree is omnivores and can swallow a 100 Star essence layer expert as a whole. And the fruits are poisonous enough to kill a Star Qi conversion expert in seconds and Core formation expert in minutes and Planetary Fusion expert in days. And there is no antidote for this poison"

Alex was gobsmacked when he heard that! According to his memories, the Star Qi Conversion expert are the higher officials of the kingdom, whereas the Core formation expert is the things of legend. Only the King of Gromor kingdom is said to be reached that level. He knows that his father had reached the level of peak 9th Star Qi conversion stage and that's why he was a respectable figure in the entire kingdom next to the king. Whereas the Planetary Fusion is only a myth in the minds of people.

At the City Lords mansion,

James Redforest, Alex's father, sat in a table surrounded by his children. The son of the first wife stood with an indifferent expression like the death of his mother doesn't mean anything to him.

James looked at his eldest son, Charles and asked, "Charles aren't you angry at me for killing your mother?"

James asked while looking at the dead bodies on the ground.

When James returned for the Star Essence gathering ceremony, he found Alex missing from the group.

He turned towards her 1st wife and questioned her about his absence. The 1st wife started sweating under his gaze even though she prepared for a proper answer.

Forcing her courage, she revealed everything. She described how a scum Alex was how she showed mercy by only crippling him not taking his life. She made it look like she was a saint.

But when she finished, a loud slap rang across her cheek making her fly towards the wall. The slap was strong enough to kill a Star Essence Layer expert, but luckily the 1st wife's servant was present at the direction where she flew. She crashed into her servant and missed her death by cushioning herself on the servant's body. The servant was only at 5th stage Purification, so he died from the impact.

The 1st wife coughed out a large amount of blood and teeth with only a couple of teeth still intact in her mouth. She looked with disbelief at her husband, she never thought her husband would strike against her. She looked at his furious expression and though where did she made a mistake at her plan.

At the time the hall was filled with his sons, concubines, and servants. They were dumbfounded to look at the condition of the first wife laying on the ground. Most of her teeth were on the ground, her left cheek was puffed like a balloon, she lost her previous grace and wailed like a pig.

"Do I look like a fool to you?" James shouted. As an expert nearing the legendary Core Formation stage, he could find out whether one was lying or speaking truth via the flow of Qi inside the heart. As a peak expert in the Star Qi Conversion stage, his Spirit Vision can nearly deduce any secrets.

But here he didn't have to use his Spirit Vision because one's eyes dart towards Upper Right when saying lies and towards the upper left if remembering something. He could guess that she was lying with her eyes and excessive movement of her hands. This is basically known knowledge between the higher officials of the kingdom.

He ordered the servants to bring the girls who stated that Alex had raped them. After a minute everyone arrived with their leg's shaking and sweat all over their faces. Looking at their expression, James knew the servant had revealed what happened here and asked them to play alone with the first wife.

He used his Qi to pressure the girls in front of him and asked whether they said against his son was true. Feeling the pressure of an expert below only to the king, the girl felt their feet give away and fell down. In fear of their lives they spoke the spilled the beans in front of everyone and the promise made by first wife.

Hearing this James was furious beyond everyone's imagination. Everyone inside the mansion started feeling the pressure from his wrath.

Within a second the bodies of the girl exploded like a water balloon spraying blood over a meter. While only his wife died with her bodies intact. His did this in mind for his first son, he wanted his first son to atleast bury her.

Charles looked at his father with a hint of pain and replied, "Sigh! Father, I'm just disappointed, not angry. She loved her wealth more than she loved me and the things she did disgust me. So I am not angry at what father did, but still I feel like you could've shown her some mercy." Charles was mature and intilligent compared to his all siblings and hence loved by everyone in the mansion. Where the only one charles loves most is the second wife of his father. She was the one breast fed him instead of his birth mother. He grew and matured with the love of his step mother.

James sighed in relief that his eldest son didn't hate him. Even though he didn't have a talent for cultivation, he had a high mentality and good judgment. That put him in the top on the line for the next City Lord. He still didn't know why the first wife would do something like this. He even promised her that the next city lord will only be his first born son.

James looked at his children and asked, "So why didn't you all help your little brother when he was in a trouble?"

Everyone was quite, they looked down not even having the courage to look at their father's eyes. James sighed in disappointment knowing how cowards his son's are.

Charles further explained everything. Charles explained how biased the first wife treated Alex with no cultivation resources, stopped his allocated money, made him live at servants quarters and how she made up everything yesterday. Charles also added how she used Evelyn's weakness and with the help of butler he presented the proof.

The table in front of him exploded into pieces.

James felt angry knowing how his son got treated on his own house; he shouted, "Why didn't anyone say anything? You guys let me stand like a fool and played by the bitch's hand." James never felt so angry in his life.

Rather than feeling guilty, he felt fear after thinking about his 9th wife. If she ever knows what happened to her son, she would kill me.

Seeing their father sweating in fear, Charles and others felt confused.

James then chased everyone out and took a transmission device from his pocket and shouted. Everyone left knowing the ceremony wouldn't be held today.

"Laura! Where are you? Laura...Laura..." He was tapping his legs waiting for the other side to reply. He was waiting for ten minutes continuously waiting for a reply. He nearly crushed the costly device in anger.

"Hey! What's up!"

After ten minutes, a lazy and annoyed voice came from the device.

"Laura! What are you doing there? I'm calling you for ten minutes!" James shouted.

"What are you shouting for?" the voice still sounded lazy and indifferent.

"And would you call me afterwards, I am quite busy now?" Before he can reply, she said and cut the device off again.
