Clack.
The door to the police chief room open as an officer walks in and hand the chief a stack of document.
“Here the report on the serial burglar case, chief Tsuragamae” Tsuragamae didn’t look up from works and just nod his head in response.
Looking at the dog head police chief, the dog loving officer resist the urge to pat the chief head and said ‘good boy’ before walking out of the room.
Scribble.
The chief finish his writing and glance at the document before pick it up and reading the content.
“Katsuo Shirayuki? Quite the promising youth, being able to instantly suppress a D rank villain on his own”
The folder in his hand contains the file of the young man that froze the villain this morning.
Katsuo Shirayuki
Age: 14
Quirk: Elemental
Occupation: drop out, various part time jobs
Background: orphan since young, save and adopted by a Pro hero couple that was later killed in action
Relative: younger sister Suzushina Shirayuki- currently attending school
“… a rather troubling family situation though, hope the kid don’t end up in here again” he muttered while looking at the tired looking boy walking out of the station and close the file before return to work.
.
Hahhhh
A long tired sigh unconsciously make it way out of Katsuo mouth as he make his way back home from the police station.
“Agrh! That god damn villain bastard, what did I do to you?! Of all the people there you could have taken anyone as hostage so why me!?” He exclaimed out loud causing other passerby to take some glance at him before quietly and quickly distancing themselves.
Katsuo also notice this and does not seem to care much but he still start to pick up his speed to walk home to play the game that almost got crush by the villain. As he was making plan on what route to choose first from “Doki Doki Nyan Nyan Café Simulator”

“Should I go with Ai-chan (Loli) or Rose-san (Onee-san)? Ah! The Sensei DLC is about to come out too!”
Across the street he was walking there was a commotion happening on the shopping street nearby, Katsuo stop and curiously approach to see what happening, he frown at the sight in front of him though.
A mud like villain is causing some chaos on the street with a couple of heroes trying to subdue him to no avail, Katsuo squint his eyes and see that in the middle of the mud villain is a boy roughly the same age as him being held hostage.
Katsuo frown and take a look at the heroes present at the scene, there Kamui Wood and Mount Lady that he just saw this morning and several other heroes doing emergency recuse in the burning building nearby but it seem there no one can take care of the sludge villain.
Katsuo was hesitating on what to do, he can froze the villain and stop him but he might get caught by the police for a statement and report on the matter, which would further delay his journey back home to play game.
As he was having an internal debate inside head, a youngster with moss green hair nearby push through the crowd and rush toward the villain, his action cause Katsuo and the nearby heroes to open their in surprise and rush to stop him from acting recklessly.
Katsuo cursed in head before stomp his feet on the ground causing the surrounding temperature to drop and the ground to froze over and rapidly spread to the villain. On another side a muscular figure also jumps forth and quickly ran over.
The sludge villain annoyed by the moss hair youth action swings his arm at full force intending to get rid of him but when he try to move his body he suddenly feel an intense chill down his mud spine can’t move at all. Before he get a chance to figure out what is happening a tall, extremely muscular figure loom over him.

"Detroit Smash!"
And with a mighty swing of his arm that cause a sonic boom the sludge villain was shattered into smithereens and disperse the cloud above.
The crowd was stunned at sight before erupting in cheering.
“All Might! It’s All Might!”
“He beat the villain and changes the weather with a single punch!”
“All Might please marry me!” a middle aged man shouts on the top of his lung.
Despite the yelling and cheering around him, All Might still frown and look behind him where he feel a wave of coolness coming from before putting aside those thought and turn to look at the green moss hair youth in contemplation.

My Servant Is An Elf Knight From Another World
It was just like any other day, or so I thought at least. The birds were chirping up on trees, clouds were rolling by the bright blue sky and Elves were dumpster diving in the alleyway.

Trickster's Tale
Be careful when demanding reparations from gods. They rarely own up to their mistakes. Due to a goddess's shortsighted error, Perry finds himself transported to a distant Universe with new proportions and a different identity. Instead of cowering before the deity, he demands she opens a portal home or provides reparations for him and his bereaved family. Unfortunately, standing up for himself doesn't earn Perry respect. Instead, she curses him with cowardice, limiting his combat and magical potential. Little does the goddess know that nothing can stand in the way of Perry's sheer will. If brute strength and arcane might won't get him the justice he desires, wit and creativity will. Perry's first target? A goblin shaman. Then, the world. And so begins, the bard's ballad. Trickster's Tale (Book 1): Is That A Lute In Your Pocket will release on Kindle Unlimited on the 10th of May.Due to KU's exclusivity rules, I've had to take most of book 1 down.Book 1 Bard's Ballad takes place in the same extended Universe as my other story, The Houndsman. It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.

Flashback: Siren Song
The year is 1969. Yancy Lazarus—bluesman, gambler, future world-class mage and fix-it man—is just a dumb, unlucky kid serving with the 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines in Vietnam. With just a few weeks left to go until Yancy gets shipped back to the States, he’s just trying to keep his head down and avoid a body bag—no mean feat in Nam. But when his squad is tasked with conducting a routine patrol deep in enemy territory, everything goes to nine kinds of hell, and he quickly sees his chances at survival slipping away. When the radio operators start to pick up some funky, dirty ol’ blues all the way out in the backcountry, it’s a nice change of pace. At least until the men in Yancy’s squad start losing their minds, turning on each other with murderous intent as the music works its deadly power within them. Convinced it’s some kind of new psychological warfare initiative, the squad leader forces the men to push deeper and deeper into the Vietnamese jungle, obsessed with locating the music’s source. What they find, however, isn’t some new technology, but an ancient spirit awoken by the terrible war. Even worse, the music is changing Yancy too, awakening something buried inside of him. Only one thing is certain, nothing is ever going to be the same.See how it all began … *** PRAISE FOR SIREN SONG:Hunter's writing is as low-down, gritty, and insidious as the blues Yancy Lazarus loves. Just like the mysterious music drifting through the jungle toward Yancy's squad, Siren Song will get under your skin and sink its hooks into your mind. —eden Hudson, Author of Halo Bound (the Redneck Apocalypse series) *** Hey everyone, this is James Hunter. This story isn't a full length novel--its a novella length work (25K words), and is part of my Yancy Lazarus series. Its already free on Amazon, so I thought I'd post chapters here for the good folks of Royal Road.
