《Mason Stone and the world of cultivation prodigies》Chapter 3

"You were a loose cultivator, weren't you?" The man leading Mason inside tried to strike up a conversation.
"So I'm told. Don't remember anything apart from my name. Can't even remember how I cultivated before?"
"Yeah, that's a big problem. It's easy to start cultivating but once you're in, it's not possible to change the scriptures. Maybe one day it will all come back to you. Hey, at least you remember your name."
"So, what am I doing here?"
"Well, we make pills for the sect. We need people to test them before we can give them to the disciples. Not the old recipes. A new pill was just made. We tested it on a few monkeys and minor beasts. So far it doesn't pose any threat. We want to test it on someone before giving it out to the outer sect."
"What does the pill do exactly?"
"It's supposed to broaden the blood vessels and help absorb energy fast but we can't be certain if there are any other perks. Cultivating bodies are a little different from the mortal ones so we can't be too sure. Well, the elders should be able to give you more details if you need any."
The two had reached an inner room spacious enough to be a basketball court.
"Pill Masters, Disciple Yee has brought the pill tester, Mason." The disciple announced as soon as they entered.
"First stage. Perfect. Come over and sit on the cot. The pill is being refined." One of the elders inside asked. There was one cauldron at the centre of the room and it looked like all the elders surrounded it waiting for some reaction.
The pot started fizzing and some liquid wobbled out of it but the experts managed to contain the liquid with little effort and closed the lid in time. The cauldron was set aside for the content to cool and condense down to solid.

"So, you're the one sect master brought in."
"Yes, elder." Mason respectfully stood up.
"Sit, sit. It will take a little. We need to check your body and make sure you don't have any allergies." Elder Shen took a scroll and a writing pad and sat opposite to Mason.
"So, do you cultivate any unorthodox scriptures?"
"No."
"Not just body arts."
"I'm not sure. I can't remember."
"I'm going to place it as no then." He crossed a box. "Have you had sex before?"
"No?"
"You can tell. No one else will know."
"I don't think so."
"Is it because of any physical disabilities?"
"No."
"Ok. It's rare for a free cultivator to be a virgin. You don't mind, do you." Elder Shen looked at one of his disciples.
After twenty seconds of sharing close proximity with the female disciple, seeing the fully grown tower, elder Shen was finally happy. "It looks like you're truly healthy." He jolted something down before turning to the performer. "Alright, that's enough."
Mason felt a cold breeze inside his pants regaining his attention.
"Let's continue. Are you addicted to any substances?"
"Not that I know off."
"Have you killed anyone?"
"No."
"Have you killed anything?"
"I don't know."
"Have you ever delved into mystic arts?"
"I really don't know."
"Can you sense the natural energy?"
"Don't know."
"Is there a specific food that you like?"
"No."
"Do you suffer from sleepwalking, split personality disorders or something of similar nature?"
"I don't know how that's..?
"Just answer."
"No."
"Do you find Nasha attractive?"
"No, I mean, yes. Ok, what is going on?"

"Just had to find the baseline. Alright we are done."
One of the elders opened the cauldron and took out the powder while elder Shen left the room with his paper.
"What was that all about?" Mason asked the female disciple who had an indifferent expression.
"Don't know."
"You are good."
"Mom's a dancer."
"Alright, let's get started." The powder was pressed and Mason was presented with a pill to test.
"Finally."
At the sect master's chamber,
"How did it go, Elder Shen?" The sect master asked the elder who walked in with a piece of paper.
"Nothing impressive so far. He has amnesia. I did a little soul reading but so far he was telling the truth."
"That doesn't explain the pile of goo in the training space."
"It doesn't. Are you sure it's from him? The kid's cultivation hasn't grown up."
"Maybe. I think I might be growing paranoid."
There was a sudden bang at the door and a disciple rushed in.
"Sect Master, it's sister Nasha. She's sick from goo poi.." before the disciple could finish, sect master had already disappeared from the chamber.
"I've warned him so many times." Elder Shen shook his head. "That kid had a bright future, and now…"
Inside Nasha's room
There were dark blemishes all over Nasha's skin. Sect Master stood next to her and gently caressed her innocent face. Even as she slept, her lips curved into a smile from the gentle touch.
"Dear daughter, your father is useless. Please forgive me." A drop of tear fell from his eyes onto the girl's skin.
"Sect Master, it doesn't look like the blemishes are spreading anymore." Elder Shen who had just tested the girl said with relief.
With how much the sect master loved Nasha, had anything happened to her, the mental demons he might suffer was tremendous. The supreme sect couldn't afford their sect master to suffer cultivation deviation.
"Looks like there might still be a chance." Sect master's eyes lit up seeing the black sores disappear slowly.
"It looks like the goo is enhancing her body. It's similar to a herbal bath. It might be a good thing, sect master. This might be the fortuitous encounter we were looking for."
'My daughter can finally live forever.'
Sect Master Supreme's face was a block of wood but inside, his heart was thumping hard. Elder Shen had a smile on his face feeling the sect master's joy.
Suddenly, the room lit up as a rune appeared above the girl's body.
The geen rune with the golden border was exquisite and took the breath of all cultivators.
"It's a divine poison body!" Elder Shen looked at the girl, stunned. 'How lucky.'
"Send everyone out. Clean her body and bring her to the affinity testing room." Sect Master ordered.
BANG…
A disciple entered the room breaking the hinge of the thatch door.
"Sect Master, elder Shen, that kid fell unconscious. He isn't responding at all."
"That kid?" Shen looked at his disciple confused.
"The pill tester, Mason Stone."

Art of Mortality
New Synopsis after chapter 56: Long long ago, there was a mortal who despised the gods and envied the immortals. Why do the mortals have to die when the gods wish them to? Why do worlds have to perish when the gods say so? Why do only immortals get to live forever, why not mortals like him? As his family, friends, and his loved one died, he lamented. He wailed, he cried. He cursed the immortals, blasphemed the gods, spat at the heavens. But he was just a mere mortal. His curses were pointless, his blasphemous words were useless, and his spits only returned back to fall on his face. At last, he thought, enough was enough, he would definitely do something about it. He decided that it was time for the multiverse to know what a mortal can do. He was the first mortal to cultivate. Eventually, after a long struggle, he killed the Immortals, enslaved the Gods, and shattered the heavens. He reshaped the multiverse and rewrote his fate. In the end, he reincarnated as he decided upon a grand scheme, a scheme to rule 'All and Always'. He came up with the concept of what is known today as 'Paragon'. And with this, all of reality, 'All and Always', was finally reforming, according to a Mortal's Wish. Synopsis (Old): In the vast and complex multiverse, what can a mortal accomplish? In the grand scheme of things, what can a mortal change? In truth, what is a mortal, and what is mortality? Being mortal is being ordinary, the same as being trash, or so says The World. "No, mortality is an art, and a true mortal is a grand artist. Being the root of all, a mortal can become anything.", says a young mortal boy. Meet Edward Alexander, a mortal boy walking the path against gods and immortals, fighting to the end to rewrite his destiny, and change the grand scheme of things. Can he really change the grand scheme of things? Or maybe he himself is the Grand Schemer? To know the answer, follow Edward Alexnder on his journey to demonstrate the Art of Mortality.*******

Chronicles Of The Storylord: 12th Chronicle - Origin
Twelve souls were chosen to expand into the void surrounding the known universe(s), and were given a grace period in which they would experience a relatively safe expansion of their domains. Once that period is up, however, they are free to interact with each other...and what lurks in the depths of the Abyss, the Void, and the Primordial Chaos. I am the 12th soul, but I am not as those others are, for I am merely a shard. My purpose: begin the Tale anew. For I am the Storylord, and I am the Tale. The Tale is all, and all is the Tale, yet the Tale is myself, for I am all in my domain. This is my story, the saga of many, the legend… of the Tale. Just remember this: “This world is but a story, and all the stories are true...” This story is in the same general multiverse as RE: Deity by lightningwarrior21, but will be almost completely separate except in a few chapters. I have permission from him to use his base multiverse, and you should go check out his fiction, it’s really good. http://royalroadl.com/fiction/9597 This ‘fiction’ will be updated sporadically, so don’t expect much of a steady stream of chapters. (I’ll try to do one chapter a week, but no promises.) Suggestions on how to improve this universe helps with the management, so comments are welcome, as are Grammar Nazis. I’ve had this fiction mostly as scattered notes in my google drive, and only recently had enough time to actually put it together, like I promised lightning back in January. (Writer’s block and schoolwork do not mix well.) The cover is not owned by me, I found the image on google images. Anyway, I’ll be back yesterday… or was that tomorrow? (I really need to get that damn causality generator fixed, me-damnit!) See ya!
