Vincent and the others use their ODM gas and fly as fast they can, fearing that the kids at the chapel will be crushed to death by the flying rocks.
Wshh~ Wshh~ Wshh~
Vincent and the other two, Crista and Ymir flew and followed Vincent from behind.
"Vincent is really awesome. He's flying so fast"
Christa said that and looked at Vincent's back view.
Ymir looks behind her and sees the destruction the Colossal Titan made.
Hundreds of houses and even thousands of people had been crushed by rocks and other infrastructure material.
30 Seconds has passed since the Colossal Titan attacked, and no Titans had made it inside the walls.
But this will not last long as the soldiers from the Front lines will be overwhelmed sooner or later, and in the end, be killed by the Titans.
… .
Vincent flew left and right... and then on the last turn, he saw the Chapel.
It is safe.
Vincent sighed in relief, but his speed never slowed down.
He looked at the side of the chapel, seeing the crushed house, and thought in fear, 'Just a little bit and they will die... Thankfully they had not been hit by the rock'.
Vincent landed in front of the Chapel and opened the door.
Vincent saw a woman, calming down the crying kids.
"Aunt Marry. Are all of you safe"
The Woman, named Aunt Marry turned around and saw Vincent. She sighed in relief and said.
"We're all safe. Luckily no one was hurt. But all the kids got scared and started crying..."
"Fortunately, you're all safe. Let's go and get out of here"
Christa and Ymir finally arrived and saw Vincent with the kids and Aunt Marry, the adopter of the kids.
Christa sighed in relief, seeing none of them was hurt.

"Vincent, where are you going to take them?"
"No time to think. Let's get them out of here first, and find a Garrison Soldier to lead them out of this Town."
Vincent and the two ladies escorted them out of the chapel.
The Main road was in chaos, as many people started running in the same direction.
Crying, and running in panic were all the common things people would see in this kind of scenario.
Vincent then saw some Garrison members, pointing where to go. They're all pretty full-on their hands, so asking them to lead a group of people is too much to ask for.
And then... He saw Paul.
"Paul! Paul!"
Vincent shouted, seeing the familiar face of the guy who knew him... Paul.
Paul looked left and right, hearing that someone was shouting his name, and finally saw who it was.
Pleasantly surprised, Paul saw Vincent.
He jumped down the roof and landed near Vincent.
"Vincent, this is not the place Trainees should probably go to"
"I know! But, can you lead them to safety!"
Vincent pointed towards the kids, as Paul finally noticed them.
"T-This..."
"Please Paul, I'm begging you!"
Vincent looks at Paul, determined for Paul to take them in.
"F-Fine... You owe me twice ok? Don't forget that!"
"Thank You"
Vincent, seeing the kids finally in good hands, sigh in relief.
Christa looked at Vincent with an astonished face. She never saw Vincent this determined and even begged someone.
'He really likes the kids, that much'
Vincent looked at the two, who's looking at him with different expressions, and said,
"Let's go back to HQ"
… .
Landing quickly in front of the HQ.
Their arrival got noticed by the Garrison member stationed in the HQ.
"You three, You all late! I'm not gonna lecture you guys, as Titans are already swarming the hole."

"Go fast towards the supplying Area and replenish your equipments"
"Yes, sir!" "Yes, sir!" "Yes, sir!"
The three saluted and began running towards the Supplying Area.
They already knew where all the area on this HQ was at. As they already practice it on Trost Training when they're all still recruits.
… .
Supplying Area...
"You recruits have completed training and graduated into proper soldiers!"
"I expect you to actively participate in this operation too!"
Vincent with Christa and Ymir were filling their Tanks with gases.
Christa was trembling a bit, but Vincent only cast a glance on her and started filler his tanks up.
He knew fully well that Christa needed to fight her fear or she might be dead on any second she stepped on the battlefield.
Ymir was calming down the scared Christa and looked towards Vincent, whose eyes were steady and arms never trembled one bit.
'This guy... He really deserves to be the number one in the 104th Military Trainees. He only panicked once, and it is where he thought the rocks will hit the chapel.'
'He only shows his weakness, whenever there's a kid or children involved. And… he is, ultimately a jerk for not comforting Christa...'
Ymir looked towards the trembling Christa and said.
"Christa, it is not the time to be afraid. Look at Vincent, he's never been afraid"
Upon mentioning Vincent, Christa looked at Vincent and began to stop her trembling hands and said.
"T-Thank you, Ymir"
'She really stopped when I mentioned Vincent's name. What should I do, Vincent is really a jerk for not comforting Christa, but Christa got comforted and stopped trembling when I mentioned his name... this is really worrying me...'
… .
Standing in the middle of the open field at HQ...
All Trainees were gathered as the person in front of them, told them the details and plans about this upcoming mission.
And their first-ever, mission.
"Just like in the training, split up into your individual squads. You will be under Garrison command!"
"Your duties are to assist in providing supplies, communication, and sweeping up the Titans!"
"The first line of defense will be the frontline unit of the Garrison!"
"The second line will be the cadet squads under our command!"
"The rearguard will be the Garrison's elite units!"
"We've already received word that the vanguard has been annihilated!"
"The outer gate was destroyed, and Titans have encroached upon the City!"
"This means that the Armored Titan might show up any moment to breach the inner gate!"
As the person in front of them said that, all the recruits are in panic and scared as of what outcome they will have.
"That's..."
"No way..."
"If even Rose falls..."
…
..
..
But the chatter was cut off as the Garrison Captain that was in front of them shouted.
"Silence!"
"The frontline guards are already in combat!"
"There is but one goal in this defensive operation..."
"Defend Wall Rose until every civilian has evacuated!"
"Also, in case you forgot, let me remind you that desertion is a capital offense!"
"Vow on your hearts to devote your lives!"
"Dismissed!"
"Sir!"

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
