《Nightmare》Racing Against Time

I exit the van and see Cure gone. I see storm clouds in the distance. I try to wake up Liz but I can’t. I go over to Wart and Eyes trying to wake up them up. Eyes slowly wakes up coughing.
“Zack.. I.. feel better?” I frown as Wart wakes up.
“We need to stop Cure.” She frowns standing straight up.
“Cure? Leonard is Cure?” I nod and she frowns going to the van.
“Curse him.” I follow her as Wart quickly starts to pack up the camp.
“He tricked me.” She frowns going to Liz.
“Yes. He made me sick so I couldn’t stop him.” She curses when she can’t wake Liz up.
“Nightmare told me that he is being controlled by Answer.” She pauses and nods.
“Yes. When the Infection and Cure meet, it allows the conditions for Answer to take over their bodies.” I paused confused.
“How is that possible?” Eyes shrugs going to Wart. Flint appears next to me.
“I don’t know but we can’t let it happen.” I nod getting Liz out of the van. “You can’t take her. She will be more of a burden.” I frown looking down at her. “Wart will watch her. Take Eyes.” I go over to Wart and Eyes.
“Eyes you need to come with me. Wart you need to watch Liz for me.” Wart frowns and looks at Eyes. Eyes looks at Wart and nods.
“Watch Liz Wart. Zack will protect me.” Wart takes Liz from me.
“Keep her safe Zack.” I nod grabbing the motorcycle. Eyes gets on holding onto me as I speed after Cure. As we drive after Cure, I notice the landscape around us slowly starts to show the Infection. Eyes raises her head looking around.

“Cure is currently a few miles away from the Infection. Stay are the current path and we shall be there soon.” I speed down the road faster.
“So kill the Infection, stop Cure, save my brother. Anything else?” She shakes her head no. “Good.” We speed down the road and everything living is covered in Infection. I get hit with the smell of salt and I notice the ocean in the distance. Pulling up to the shore I see a horde of infected people staring into the ocean. They don’t notice us and don’t go onto the beach. I pull onto the beach and Eyes gets off looking at them. I get off drawing my sword. “What are they doing?”
“They are waiting.”
“For what?” I hear them start shrieking as something comes from the ocean. It looks like the thing that took my brother but smaller. I stare at it. “That’s the Infection?”
“Yes. That’s the main source of the Infection.” It steps on the beach. It stands about seven feet tall. The entire body is human-like except for the black tendrils wrapping around it. I start walking to the thing.
“So you are the big thing that everyone is terrified of?” It tilts his head at me.
“You’re different.” A distorted child’s voice rings out throughout the beach. I stop in my tracks shocked.
“You’re a child?” It moves with incredible speed and appears in front of me. It hits me in the mouth and sends me flying into the sand.
“I am hungry. Can you stop that?” It remains calm as it slowly stalks me. I frown charging it. I slash at it a few times as it nimbly dodges out of the way. It grabs my blade and twists it from my grip. It tosses my blade into the ocean and hits me. I fly through the air crashing into the bike. Eyes frowns helping me.

“Why the hell are you losing?” I growl slightly.
“No one told me it was a child.” She frowns kicking some sand.
“I didn’t know. Where the hell is the Nightmare Cloak?!” She screams at me. I pause frowning.
“Liz has it..” She frowns picking up the motorcycle.
“Hold it off.” She speeds away as the Infection laughs slightly.
“Hmm.. I can’t wait to eat her.” I frown charging in for an attack. The fight is brutally one sided. No matter what I did or what I throw. The Infection is able to easily deflect and attack back with such strikes. Lucky for me, it doesn’t seem to be doing much damage to me. After throwing me into the ocean, it chases after me. It shoots me out of the ocean and I land with a thud on the beach. I stand up breathing heavily. It slowly walks out of the ocean but pauses. “Father’s here.” I frown looking back to see the horde destroyed. Cure slowly walks onto the beach and turns back into Leonard.
“Son I’ve come home.” Infection slowly turns into a ten year old. He is wearing scrubs and his arms and legs are infected tendrils.
“You’re sick father.” Cure frowns as Infections steps back away from him.
“He can fix us. We won’t be apart anymore son.” I stand up and rush Cure. Before I can grab him, I get wrapped in tendrils. Infection pins me to the ground and looks at Cure.
“You lie!” Cure shakes his head no and gets down on one knee.
“I would never lie to you son.” Infection frowns and looks at me.
“What about him? The person I got wasn’t him.” I frown struggling trying to get free. Cure smiles slightly.
“He won’t matter son. I promise.” He removes the tendrils from me and walks to Cure. I get up trying to stop them.
“Wait! If you do this..” I stop as he hugs Cure. White and black tendrils engulf the two as dark storm clouds circle over head. The keep mixing with each other as the body of the Answer forms. The dark clouds separate as Answer slowly takes in his surroundings.
“Oh it’s been a long time Zack.”

Out of Foxes to Give
When you’re reincarnated as Naruto Uzumaki you do one of two things: cheer because you remember the story and are able to abuse your future knowledge, or realize that you’re in a world where they train child soldiers who throw fireballs and explosions around like candy and reasonably freak out. In a sense you’re either screwed or screwed but you know why. I didn’t really read Naruto when I was a kid. However, had I known that it would be useful in death, I would have! And I’m certainly regretting it now! ———————————— A definite AU for Naruto. I’m going to remove some parts and add some others for the sake of plot holes(so if something doesn't seem quite right it's probably intended... maybe), but I’ll try to stick to as close to how the Naruto-verse works. Also, say goodbye to canon! Also, disclaimer, I do not own Naruto as that belongs solely to Kishimoto. I do, however, own this story.
