《I, the last black dragon, 6 year old. (TOME 1 of the TIAMAT'S WARS SERIE)》A PRINCESS FOR A KING

King Euric Wisigoth, wanted to make a good impression on King Arthur by showing him that he, at least, had beaten the dragon Ténébrion.
The knights of the round table were invited to attend the hunt but were not allowed to participate. A demonstration of strength in itself!
Euric had heard about the kidnapping and was happy with the situation, a great opportunity:
They knew where to find the dragon and they would also punish an incapable person and replace him with another suzerain, closer to him at court and then show the francs that the Visigoths were not to be taken lightly.
The Visigoth king had with him nomadic enchanters from North Africa, in general Arabia, Sufists and whirling dervishes. They compete in genius and technology that francs do not have. And they were right.
They had gunpowder, rediscovered several centuries later by monks. They also had djinns at their service and Merlin the enchanter looked pale in front of this knowledge.
An elite army had hidden and come in small groups to avoid attracting the dragon's attention.
He had brought in oriental specialists, mages and scientists and wanted to capture the dragon and make it a living trophy.
What better way to silence the bold and clothed suzerains than with a dragon chained to the throne.
The fateful day was approaching and the cabin was ready.
We had painted the inside and Kirine would get on my back and play with me. We were having a great time and she was crazy in love with me. I was a prince charming to her. I could never have hurt her.
Then the birds flew away and said to me:
"Ivan, Ivan, the lord is here with his wife. Be careful, there are a lot of soldiers in town. They come from far away. Our migrating African friends told us that wicked magicians and geniuses had come from far and wide to capture you. They have terrible weapons that go boom like thunder."
"Our African friends are dropping like flies, it's faster than arrows, these weapons!"
"Run while you can!" said the bird friends.
"Thank you Mozambique! Here, there's water, honey and insects for you! Go serve yourself!"
And the little bird nestled on a sprig of millet and a dry stone and rested with a good meal.
"Kirine, I think your dad lied to us or we're lying to him. It's time for you to find your family anyway."
K: "How do you know that?"
"See the little bird? Yellow and black over there eating? His friends told me that a big army was coming to attack me. I'm a dragon and I talk to animals too!"

K: "But it's great. This is so unfair! Stay here with me! Please!"
"Listen to me, don't try to find me anymore, first because you saw what they tried to do to Bob? They'll cut off your head if you defend me or they'll lock you up forever.
Grow up, become strong and when you are big and powerful, and you rule these lands, slowly but surely you will reserve me a small place to rest and we will play together again later. I'd like to play with you too, without everyone wanting to attack me."
"Also watch out for the soldiers, so they can't find you! They could shoot you with an arrow to kill you and accuse me for having a pretext to attack with their army.
Educate your father to be less stupid. If they had ignored me, it wouldn't have reached the king's ears. Now you're in danger, so are your parents.
Your daddy gave them his head on a tray!
He risks the same fate as Uther!
Hide and run away with Bob who will take you to the next village and put on peasant clothes. I'm going to talk to your father!"
I cast the spell: Shield on Kirine!
"There, I blessed you and you should be quiet all day. Also take this magic stone (shield on it, duration 1 month). It is a pebble beast but keep it safe, it protects you from arrows and knives. If your parents stick to you, they'll be protected too."
"Come on, Farewell, you can take my little train, in memory of me," I said to her, but something told me that I might never see her again.
FLAP FLAP FLAP FLAP, I took off and spotted the baron and his wife and fell right in front of him.
I cast Shield spell on them
Baron: "MONSTER, what have you done with my daughter...? Where is she? Where is she? You devoured her!"
"I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE ARMY COMING IN."
"You are in imminent danger of death! Your daughter is safe and she's with Bob who drove her to the next village, dressed as a peasant girl."
"Your Good King will execute you for incompetence and replace you and your death will be an excuse to mobilize his troops against me. If you had been less mean and stupid, none of this would have happened."
"Now, even if they capture me and you stay alive, what do you think you'll get? A reward? Nothing at all! You will be punished! I threw you protection against arrows! And daggers. Join your daughter now in the village! Run! Run! But I blame you for hurting me! I just wanted to buy salt and a pan!"

The couple, on horseback, began to gallop towards the nearby village when a flock of arrows fell on them. The protection worked and they were able to escape the archers. I flew away and a flock of arrows began to chase me.
Some were delighted and hit me straight to the point but were stopped by my shield.
Others cancelled my shield and I had to relaunch several layers of protection. I was a dragon and I had the resources to counter weak human magic.
This time I had to kill or be killed, but I preferred to run away. So I was flying south but they had planned my escape.
Explosive rockets were fired and I had to change course.
Black Arrows touched me but did not penetrate my scales thanks to my magic.
They were grumbling and reorganizing.
Rows of archers on the hills, helped by a magician or a sage per group
Roman balistas.
Cluster guns with nets, chained balls and shot were sent to me
There must have been 3000 men against me!
A bunch!
Even with magic, I was a big target, on the ground I'd be screwed and no way to hide.
I climbed higher, thinking I was protecting myself high in the air but....
My worst nightmare came true:
Pegasus from the East.
6 winged horses blocked my way, all equipped with a stone gun! Well, the rider of course, I wasn't talking about the horse.
Bang! Bang!
Bang! It was hitting hard! And they also know how to aim!
Quick, get to altitude!
Higher is 6 to 1 rather than 3000 to 1!
Bang! Shit, a diaper's blown. And they can shoot those numids!
Quickly lightning! I arrive near clouds and the lightning hits me, and I absorb a gigantic amount of energy.
COUNTERATTACK!
Here, I defend myself or I die!
I dive on the riders but they use a magic powder and they multiply in the sky!
Images, mirages! Yes
But they want to exhaust me!
I'm high and running and letting them come after me. People on foot won't be able to follow me.
Shhiiiiit I need to rest to cross it!
Wait yes, I see 14 km of sea and I find myself on the other continent! As Uther told me!
Yes, it's my only way out!
But the pegasuses were trained for the race and they caught up with me quickly. The mirages disappeared one after the other and I didn't have to wait: Magic Missile!
Paf!
3 fell down shaking their wings like a duck slaughtered by coarse salt. The discharge was not lethal but sufficient to hurt them and calm their spirits.
The last one gave up but discovered where I was going. As a warning to the king, not to take me lightly, I went around the port and sank the entire Visigoth fleet in the port. and threw a mega ball of fire against the fortress that kept the port against the pirates.
FLLLLLLLish! The ball hit the stone wall that guarded the sea and its 3 meters thick exploded like a house of cards. The damage was immense. But there were wounded people lying on the dock and I landed near the unfortunate ones:
"Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you."
I then cast the Healing spell on the wounded who saw their wounds closed. and I didn't wait for my rest!
TO THE SEA!
At the end of the day, I was on the other side of the strait
I arrived at the RIF mountains with its ochre lands, termite mounds and gorges with lakes and waterfalls. The vegetation was lush but there was drought and sunburn. I was really affected by it and was tempted to take refuge in the shade of the mountains and the valley bottoms with a stream of water.
I was really affected by it and I was tempted to take refuge in the shade of the mountains and the valley bottoms with a stream of water
I then take refuge in a cave in the gorge, inaccessible and with a small lake inside.
The appetizer is just what I need and the freshness is soothing. A small ledge allows me to be dry and the water to cool down. I really needed to rest to make the next trip.
These fights, emotions and travels have literally emptied me out...
I had to start over with the pottery and the frying pan! Shit! I'm not going back to the tap dancers! The castanets!
I'll go to the Souk and we'll have a good laugh!

While the entire series story has undergone major changes in the last year, all books have been planned since the beginning of writing. It is also my second wish to eventually make this story into a webcomic, either by myself or with a team if possible. Thank you for taking this journey with me, and enjoy reading! ( You can alternatively read books in the series as standalone fictions, but they connect to one another though a running theme and mystery that evolves and progresses with the main character. ) Alternate Blurb for the Singularity Cycle series: Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after nearly 20 years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was. Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters mythical creatures beyond her restless imagination in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who reincarnated after three millennia. Essairyn is gifted with abnormal magic, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world more dangerous than its beautiful facade could hide. Finding new friends along a path riddled with tragedy, Essairyn must learn who to trust as deceit and betrayal lie behind kindly faces. Life in this deceptively promising world slowly spirals down a path of no return. This is not a game, but cruel reality. Her simple adventure became the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tore even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought they were. And not even the fickle gods could change the time-worn destiny of the universes... A single promise shook eternity’s existence.
