《Tales of a lonely op girl and an evil op demon》Chapter 8

A moment ago Elsa was excited. But suddenly all of her motivation, willpower and energy seems to be sucked out from her body. She is feeling sad. Her heart is aching.
‘What is happening? Why do I feel so sad? It is just like the first day when I started my journey. I don’t have any reason to be sad. I can’t continue anymore. I just want to sit up in a dark place. I want this feeling to go away.’
Her stealth condition was still active. She came out of the restaurant. Her head is low. She is searching for a place where she could be alone.
‘I didn’t have this kind of sudden sadness for a while. So I thought it was permanently gone. But why did it returned now? Have I done something wrong?’
Her legs are feeling heavy. The lightness she was supposed to feel from the formless skeleton, she is not feeling. She knows that this feeling is only at her heart, but her skin is getting ashen and pale. She does not like that.
After walking for a while she reached a quiet alley. The alley was silent and dusty. No one was here. She sat at a corner, curled up and covered up her face with her hands.
She sat motionless like that for some time. Who is she? She is suddenly thinking this question. What is the purpose of her living? Why is she living? She is 15 years old. What happened in her 15 years old life? She is feeling so empty.
Most of her life she just woke up from sleep, read some book, ate, tried to learn magic, ate again and then go to sleep. This boring routine continued for her whole life. Even after she started her journey she can tell that her journey is boring. There is no real excitement in her journey. Without conflict how can there be any excitement. If she was a character in a novel, would people read about her? The answer is no. Her life is too boring.

In her whole life she didn’t have any major, minor or long term conflict. Even if there is some conflict they are not good enough to motivate her to go forward. She doesn’t have the ability to create conflict on her own.
She had read many adventure novels. In this kind of novels protagonists are magnet for troubles. Whenever they go they cause trouble or get themselves into some sort of conflict. And often the source of this conflicts are humans.
Sure, she was in some troubles in her journey. But none of them were from humans. They were from bear, snakes and even rabbits. Why is that? Isn’t she attractive enough to attract troubles from humans?
‘Why I am having this kind of thoughts? I am not some protagonist of a novel. Or maybe I am just a character of a novel. Someone there in a dark gloomy room is writing my story. This kind of thinking creeps me. I need to stop thinking.’
Her stomach is growling. She is hungry. She doesn’t have the taste for food anymore. She took out some food from Grassy and at it.
At the moment a dog came near her. It looks pitiful. She gave some food to the dog. It waved its tail and ate the food.
At this time Mira came near her. She said, “What are you doing here? What happened to you?”
Elsa looked to Mira. She replied, “Nothing.”
Mira said, “Why do you look so sad?”
Elsa said, “Because I am sad.”
Mira asked, “Why are you sad?”
Elsa said, “For no reason. I don’t have any reasons to be sad. But I am still feeling extreme sadness. I am so sad that I can’t even move.”
Mira sighed. She said, “You are depressed.”
Elsa said, “No, I am not.”

Mira said, “Yes you are. Feeling sad, low, energy-less and motivation-less without no reason is called depression. Did you perhaps felt that you are worthless and boring?”
Elsa said, “No. But …everything is boring. I don’t want to continue anymore. You can go alone. I will come when I get my willpower back.”
Mira said, “I will leave you alone for now. I know it will not help but try to be positive.” Saying this she left.
Elsa is still sitting. Back of her head is starting to heart. Now she has to deal with headache. Why life has to be so cruel? No her life is not cruel at all. She wish it was cruel. That way she will get the chance to use her skills. She has so many skills but she doesn’t have the opportunity to use them. What can be more frustrating? She is wishing someone would bully her. Then she will beat the crap out of them.
Her mood is swinging again. Now she is feeling irritated and angry. Her depression is getting away. But anger is filling her mind. She wants to beat someone so badly. She stood up activated her stealth. With an evil grin in her face she started walking.
She is in the street now. No one is noticing her. She is looking at the people. If anyone annoy her she will….she doesn’t know what she will do to them. But whatever she does it will not be good for them.
Suddenly she heard the sound of crying. A little boy is crying. He wants a toy but his mother won’t buy it for him..
Hearing this noise Elsa become annoyed. But no matter how much annoyed she is, she can’t possibly punish a kid. Should she punish his mother? No, that is also not good. Maybe she doesn’t want to spoil her child or she doesn’t have money. So who should she vent her anger?
She then heard an angry voice of a person. He is a short middle age man. He is wearing expensive clothes. He has no hair in his head. He looks ugly.
He said, “Shut that boy’s mouth, woman. It’s annoying. If you can’t afford to buy something, you should just go away. Slap that boy. If you can’t discipline him then let me do it for yourself.”
Hearing the scolding of the man the boy stopped crying. He is looking at the man with disbelief. He looks terrified. The mother also felt humiliated. She said to the boy, “Let’s go.”
The boy didn’t argue this time. He left with his mother.
After they left the man started laughing. He is feeling good. It always feels good to humiliate someone. It feels even better when they don’t argue back.
Watching all this, a cold light flashed in Elsa’s eyes. She knows what the man did is not worthy of death, but killing intent started leaking from her body.
She pointed her finger at the man. Energy started to compress near her finger. A compressed energy beam is formed. She threw it at the direction of the man. It moved silently and hit the man. The man did not have the time to scream. The man exploded and disintegrated. Only blood can be seen from where he was standing.
She has killed a person. Why? Was it necessary to kill him? Elsa suddenly lost all her anger. A terrifying feeling of guilt covered her whole being.

8 176Serenity of the Crow
Fena can’t die. To most, this might be considered a blessing. To others, a curse. Fena doesn’t really care what other people call it: for her, it’s reality. She’s content to keep her head down while working for the Mercenary Guild, but a new contract arrives that threatens to drag her back to a past she wants nothing to do with. Haunted by her own thoughts and a crow that never seems to shut up, Fena is caught between confronting her past and preventing it from ever happening again. Indigo is alone. Her adopted mother is gone, and the witch that never gets her pronouns right is currently the most popular researcher at the Royal Academy. Worse still, she suddenly finds herself with shoes to fill that are so enormous they’re more like a swimming pool, while that same witch flaunts a research project that could get them all killed. With the expectations of her entire sect weighing on her like a lead weight, will Indigo sink or swim? Can she stop the White Witch’s project before it’s too late? Or will the twisted politics of the Royal Academy prove too much? This is my first published story, so hopefully it goes well! I welcome constructive criticism, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and theories about where the story is headed! WARNINGS:This story contains references to depression, anxiety, panic attacks, self-harm, sexual abuse and manipulation.
