On the bus that was supposed to take me to my morning class at the university happen what will be universally called the "Global Reset". On my point of view, it happens unexpectedly, I was sitting with my headphone on, scrolling on social media on my phone and suddenly I was on the ground, my phone gone, like everyone who was on the bus with me. Standing up I look around and the spectacle was strange: no building to be found only people confuse everywhere, my clothing changed as well it was like someone decided to drag me to a cosplay party, it was the same for everyone, plain clothes like we were back in medieval time. Despite the silence that follow we weren't afraid: we all understood, everything was just gone, no one died. The building, infrastructure, tool: all of it disappear, the culmination of the event was that everyone had a ring on, upon touching it a screen appear out of nowhere in front of me. Curiosity took the best of me, I played a lot of video games before going to college and I sometimes dreamt what it would feel like but it never occur to me that reality was going to change like that. A brief look around told me that people started to discuss with each other trying to figure out what was going on, I heard a kid telling his mother to check her ring making the effect that those who were nearby doing exactly that. 5 remaining points to spend... I decided not to think too much about it, I knew what I was going to do, spend everything on one characteristic, the problem was to choose which one, going by logic Mind would make me smarter, Force would make me stronger and Agility would make me faster. But what does Spirit would make me? The unknown was tempting, everything was unknown: Why were there no more things constructed by man? Why everyone has been bestowed a ring with a strange ability? I tap the Spirit word five times hoping it would spend the points and it did. Charle Alewise - Level 1 Mind - 5 Force - 5 Agility - 5 Spirit - 10 I didn't feel any change whatsoever in myself, I try to concentrate by closing my eyes in the hope I will understand the effect of upping Spirit but nothing was out of the ordinary, opening my eyes again I was met with a different window You have met the criteria, would you like to enter the Spirit Realm? Yes / No Spirit Realm? Does that mean there is a Mind, Force, and Agility Realm as well? What does it mean? I spend a minute looking around, no one seems to have opened their ring, and those who did, didn't seem to have spent their points. "Mom you should put your points with care, I put two on Mind and one in each of the other" the kid who has notified anyone nearby to check their ring seems to have taken a different approach, and it seems he wasn't offered to enter any realm. Does that mean that upon reaching 10 in a stats you can enter a Realm? Or is it just a special occurrence to Spirit? Focusing back on the screen in front of me I read again stopping on the Yes / No. Oh, what the hell. I tapped on the Yes. Reality shifted again. People were nowhere to be found. I was at the same spot, the same environment but there was no one here. I was alone, the funny thing is, I didn't panic, the reason for that is because of the new window that had appeared in front of me You have entered the Spirit Realm Your Spirit Realm is level 1 Connect the two areas to evolve I was in the Spirit Realm. But what is the Spirit Realm? Too many questions pop into my head making it hard to focus on anything else but the window in front of me. I took a deep breath trying to calm my nerve and looked around again. To my astonishment I was standing in a square of one meter diameter, the square was green, by paying close attention it felt like a surface of something, something unbreakable, I tried jumping on it to see what it would do, nothing happen, no dust, no trace, the square was just there. I walk out of it. Nothing happen, the green square was still there, was it supposed to be an area? The message mention two areas. I was supposed to connect two areas. Was this one area and I was supposed to connect it to another? I looked around again and that is when I saw it, another green square about fifty meters away, I went there and stand on it to see what would happen. Nothing. Nothing happens. "What now" I mumbled, was I stuck here? I saw the two areas how was supposed to connect them? What did it mean to connect them? I tap my ring again to try and get more information. "Bend reality to your Spirit to exit the Spirit Realm". Bend reality. Connect the two areas to evolve. Was I supposed to connect the two areas by bending reality? What the hell! I don't understand! Time passed, maybe two hours, without my phone to tell me what time it was it was difficult to know for sure. I went back and forth between the two one meter square trying to figure this out, with no result. I tried wandering around to see if there were other people, I was alone. I understood why I was alone, this was my Spirit Realm, in conclusion, no one else could be here. I soon returned to the initial square and sat cross-legged. How do I connect the two areas? I have nothing at my disposition, the dirt and grass that had become the road was of no use, even by tracing a line connecting the two zones nothing happened. Looking at the window I read over and over again the line saying that I needed to bend reality to my spirit. Bend reality... I closed my eyes. Concentrating on my breathing I made peace with myself, breath in, breath out, I exclude the thought coming through me and focus on myself. I was aware of the time passing but I remain focused on my breathing. And then, finally, I saw it, the two green areas, I pictured the distance between them, I only saw the two squares and felt the space separating them. I was supposed to connect them so the first thing that came to mind was to do so. I expend the greenish color toward each other until it forms one and only area. I opened my eyes to find myself sitting in the other green square that was supposed to be fifty meters away, but I understood. Your Spirit Realm evolved to level 2 You have evolved to level 2 Suddenly I was surrounded by people again, the same exact people as before I enter the Spirit Realm, the strange thing was that they remain in the exact same position they were before. "What did you spend your points on mom?" The kid asked, why was he asking this only now? Hours have passed, have they not? "I am going to put everything in Mind to see if it helps me understand what is going on better," The mother of the kid said. "Excuse me how much time has passed since everything disappear?" I couldn't help but question the woman. "What do you mean? Couldn't be more than five minutes" she respond like it was the most obvious thing, I saw her taping in the space in front of her before making a confused expression. "You have met the criteria, would you like to enter the Mind Realm? What does it mean ?" So there is multiple realm and time don't pass when inside one of them, that was good information. I started walking not bothering to help her, she was going to understand soon enough anyway. I tap my ring.
