《The Royal Mates》Chapter Fifty-One

~Maverick~
I growled as I held my mate close to me. I could feel that she knew exactly who I was, and she was scared of me. Good. Maybe she won't disobey because of it.
"King Alistair, I would like to be taken to my mate's bedroom, to help her freshen up and gather her belongings, as she will be leaving with me." She immediately grew stiff.
"I have to leave my family?" Her eyes teared up and I nodded.
"You're mated to an Alpha, darling. You have to." Amorelli was still glaring at her and Alistair growled then smirked.
"You both need to see me at the front doors when you are done. I will inform her parents that she is mated to the Alpha of the Rogues." Alistair chuckled and guided Amorelli out of the dungeon. Alana looked terrified and was hyperventilating.
"You need to calm down. Would you rather stay here in your cell, or come back with me?" She looked defeated and sighed.
"I'll lead you to my room." She muttered quietly and I nodded.
"Good girl." I followed her all the way to her room. She brought out a few bags and told me where my stuff was.
"I'm going to shower for a bit. I'll be out when I'm done. I'm sure you'll want to pack my stuff to make things go by faster, just make sure to leave an outfit out for me. Please?" I could tell she was scared. I sighed and pulled her into my arms, but she resisted.
"I am literally covered in my own shit and piss. You really want to hug me?" I sighed and stroked her cheek with my hand.
"You're my mate. I don't care if you were covered in this or in blood. You're mine." She shivered and nodded.
"Alright. I'll be back out in a little bit." I nodded and before she entered the bathroom I spoke.
"Maverick," She looked back confused.
"Huh?" I chuckled.
"Maverick, that's my name." She nodded and I could tell she had tried her best not to shiver at the sound. After she entered the bathroom, I started packing her items.
~Alistair~
After Amorelli and I left the dungeon, I picked her up and spun her around.
"We're free!" Amorelli and I laughed as I put her down. I saw my father and mother walk around the corner with confused faces.
"Alistair? It's wonderful to see you, darling. What are you both free of?" Mother spoke before she took in the smell of rogues. They both growled and Amorelli spoke up.
"Maverick gave us information about the boss in exchange for his mate, Alana." My parents looked at us in shock before laughing.
"Oh my Goddess, that is what we're free of!" Father exclaimed loudly and we all laughed. All of a sudden, Alana's parents come bounding around the corner.
"Is it true? Alana found her mate?" Her mother was extremely happy. I smirked.

"Yes, she is mated it Alpha Maverick. Alpha of the rogues, here are some of his warriors, and his Beta. One of the men that came with him also found his mate here and is gathering her items as we speak. Alana should be in her room with Maverick now, freshening up and gathering her belongings." Her parent's eyes went wide and I could feel the sorrow flowing from them.
"My poor baby," Mavericks Beta Isaiah growled at them.
"You will not disrespect my Alpha in front of me," I growled lowly at him and he gave a huff before crossing his arms over his chest.
"Easy, Beta Isaiah. Artur and Natasha, you both need to calm down and accept who the Goddess mated your daughter off to. Do not disrespect her decision again." They lowered their heads and sighed. Natasha started to tear up.
"I'm never going to see my baby again, am I?" I scoffed.
"It's not like he's holding her hostage. Calm down," With that, I took Amorelli's hand and guided her to the front door, while everyone else around us followed. Marshall and Elina were already there with their items. It also looks and smells like they have already mated as well. I nodded to him and he nodded back. Elina looked at Amorelli and frowned. Elina made her way toward Amorelli and hugged her. Amorelli hugged her back and smiled.
"I'll miss you. Please write to me, and visit whenever you can or want to. You and your mate are more than welcome here." Elina smiled wide and thanked Amorelli. She walked back to Marshall and smiled at him. She kissed his lips softly and hugged him. He held her protectively and sighed as we waited for Maverick and Alana.
~Maverick~
I had finished packing most of Alana's items. I had asked guards to bring me boxes for other items that were personal like a few scrapbooks I noticed she had as well as other pictures, books, and other items. The guards happily gave me boxes while muttering to their friends 'good riddance'. I growled every time they said that.
What the hell has my mate done?
She slowly came out of the shower wrapped in a towel. I could tell she already brushed her hair and was just waiting for her clothes. I growled lowly and grabbed her clothes. I gave them to her and she took them silently. Before she could turn around to go back into the bathroom, I grabbed her arm. She looked at me shocked and she could tell I was close to losing my temper.
"Why is everyone here saying good riddance to me? What the hell did you do?" Alana looked scared and looked like she was about to cry.
"Before Amorelli came, I was supposed to be mated off to Prince Mordikai. Before his father had changed his mind about a pure bloodline, they encouraged me to try and get rid of her when she first came. Luna Alyx loved her though and hated what I was doing. I was just doing as told, but also because I didn't know where my mate was." She looked down and I growled in anger.

"So, you kept trying to throw yourself at King Mordikai, hoping he would choose you instead of his mate?" I growled at her and she started to shake.
'Maverick, her wolf Angelina is crying out to me. Just know her wolf had nothing to do with any of it.' Charles quickly told me and I continued to growl. I shoved Alana's clothes into her hands and refused to look at her.
"Get dressed. We're leaving as soon as you're done." I felt her sadness and guilt roll off of her. I didn't care in the slightest. She had acted like a whore, and I feel no pity for how she was being treated. It brought a smile to my face when I thought about how when we got to the front doors she was going to be named a rogue. A few guards happily moved her stuff to the front door, and I waited outside the door to my mate's room. When she was done getting dressed, I grabbed her arm and pulled her to the front door. She didn't say a word to me, and I didn't try making conversation. She knew that since I am an Alpha, it would be pointless to try and speaking knowing it would only anger me more. When we got to the front doors, everyone was waiting for us. I had some of my pack members drive some cars up after we heard that the King and Queen were going to speak with us. All of Alana's belongings, as well as Elina's, were packed away in several cars. Alana stepped in front of her parents and sniffled. I stood behind her with my arms crossed over my chest.
"We'll miss you, baby. Let us know if he hurts you." I growled in anger toward her parents. Her mother glared at me and I scoffed.
"We're sorry you weren't mated to King Mordikai. He would have been way better for you." Alistair roared at her father and he cringed. Alana just stood silent, taking whatever her parents throw at her.
"But, he's not my mate. Maverick is. I can't change that." Alana rubbed her arms and sighed. Her mother looked hopeful though.
"Well, maybe if you reject him, the moon goddess will give you a second chance mate!" Now it was my turn to roar at her mother.
"SHE WILL NOT BE LEAVING ME!" I felt Alana's anger roll off her in waves. However, it wasn't directed toward me.
"What the fuck would I reject my mate? Just because you don't like him, doesn't mean I'm going to listen and reject him. My wolf has already accepted his, and I feel the effect of the mate bond. Besides, it would be fucking idiotic of me if I were to reject him. I wouldn't get a second chance mate, and he's an Alpha for goddess' sake! It would kill him, mom!" Alana was getting angry with her parents.
"Don't you speak to your mother that way! We only want what's best for you!"
"By trying to force me to be with King Mordikai? Just o you both could get more power?" Alana was now screaming at her parents. I sighed and groaned silently. In the middle of the fighting, I heard a resonating sound of a slap. I looked up and saw her father slapped her. I growled in anger and went to approach him when my Beta stopped me.
"Alpha, please. He will get what he deserves later. Right now, we need to get back home. The boss will wonder where we went and why we were gone for so long. If he found out we were here exchanging information about the missing princesses in exchange for your mate, he will kill us all. Please, let us take our leave." I was fuming in anger and grabbed Alana. I looked over her face and saw the red handprint. I growled in anger and pulled her close to me. I don't care how angry I am at her, no one touches her.
"We're leaving. Now. Say goodbye." Holding her was the only thing keeping me calm. She tried to leave my grip but I growled.
"From here." She nodded and mumbled her goodbyes to her parents. They were glaring at me. As we made our way to Alistair, they spoke up and made my mate cry.
"You're no longer our daughter." Her father spat at her and I felt her shake from the tears. We walked in front of Amorelli and Alistair and stood there, waiting for him to kick her from the pack. Before he did, Amorelli spoke up.
"I'm sorry, Alana. No one should be treated that way." It made Alana cry more and Amorelli actually hugged her.
"I forgive you for what you did, Alana. I just hope you can forgive me whenever I got angry." Alana broke out in a sob and hugged Amorelli back. Zinniah slowly came up and hugged her too. Alistair sighed and cleared his throat.
"Girls, they need to leave to train. Come on," Alistair pulled Amorelli back into his chest.
"I forgive you, Que-"
"Don't. It's just Amorelli." Alana gave her a smile as she wiped away her tears. I nodded and Alistair spoke.
"Alana Reid, you are hereby removed from the Royal Pack. I now deem you a rogue." She gasped as she felt her bond with the pack break. Alistair did the same thing for Elina and I'm sure she felt the same thing happen. We all then left to the car and got in and started driving away.
I was taking my mate home.

A Dungeon Tested
Its a hard life balancing all the things a successful dungeon should be doing. Will our newest addition to the dungeon race even survive let alone make it to the top where dungeons such as the megafauna roam? Or will our main character suffer in the dust till some inauspicious and ignoble death at the end of some F-rankers sword? Note this is me having some fun while I wait for new releases of dungeon stories. Feel free to comment on that basis. I will be keeping the first few chapters slow so as to give me plenty to build upon later. I have tentatively given this the gore tag for now. With that in mind "Let the games begin".

Dungeon Crawler Katia
The aliens killed everyone on Earth...almost. Every structure, from the Taj Mahal to the lowliest lobster trap, vanished into the earth, killing everyone inside. The survivors were given a choice: Endure on the surface without food or shelter or tools, or descend into a world-spanning nightmare dungeon that is also a reality TV show. Katia, an art professor from Iceland who has given up her humanity to transform into a shapeshifting doppelganger, meets up with Carl and his cat, Donut. Together, the three fight to survive in a dungeon filled with Clarketech goblin murderdozers and pyramid-scheme fairy moonshine-makers. The above is, of course, describing Dungeon Crawler Carl. With DoctorHepa's (the author) permission I'm posting some fanfic to expand on Katia, one of the secondary characters who started off not getting as much exploration as I would have preferred. I started off writing chapters that matched up to canon except from her POV instead of Carl's; that lasted a couple of chapters before going off the rails and spinning off into a completely new story, which suggests I should really go back and renumber all the chapters as soon as I find some tuits.
