《The Royal Mates》Chapter Forty-Two

~Mordikai~
I sat up and now I was alert.
"What's wrong with our children?" I was getting angry now. What the hell was wrong with our children?
"Princess, did you have sexual intercourse with Mordikai, Comrade, and Alistair?" We nodded slowly.
"Is there a problem with that?" I am genuinely curious about this. What's wrong with having sex with different sides of me?
"That's why you have triplets. One child is Mordikai's. One child is Comrade's. One child is Alistair's. They might look the same but they will have the personalities of each father. You need to be careful as they will all have to be king or queen someday and they might even share the same mate if that is what the moon goddess decides. Please be careful. Alistair's child will be the angriest of them all. Comrade will be protective but probably the nicest. Mordikai's will also be kind but nothing is guaranteed. I hope you two the best and do not hesitate to ask us any questions." The elder got up and left. I looked at Mordikai shocked.
"What the fuck." I slouched on the couch as my parents came back in. They were freshly mated and marked again. Amorelli smiled at them as we told them what we found out.
"Really? That's a thing? That didn't happen with Alyx and me." Carlisle said.
"Well I didn't have sex with Elias and Darren now did it?" Alyx gave him a side-eye and chuckled softly.
"Mother, father. This is serious. Is this something we should be worried about?" I held Amorelli close to me.
"We will all talk to the elders soon after the coronation to question them about the topic. Right now, we have to get you both ready. Amorelli, if you could come to the Luna's quarters with me and get ready with your mother and sister that would be great." Amorelli gets up and goes with my mother. I already know that they are going to be talking about what just happened during their run. I sighed and turned to my dad. There were still a few hours left and we sat there awkwardly.
"So. Do you want to play cards?" He seemed like he was trying to make an effort. I shrugged and grabbed a deck of cards.
"Poker?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Of course." We smiled and started playing poker, waiting until we had an hour left to get ready.
~Amorelli~
Alyx and I reached the Luna's quarters and we squealed. My mother, little sister, and grandmothers were in the room along with some maids.
"How was it?" I gave a wink and she went red.
"Since there is a child in the room, I will spare the details and say it was lovely and refreshing. It hasn't been that good in many years." She smiled fondly and I hugged her.
"What was good and refreshing?" I choked on my own spit and spoke quickly.
"Tag! They played a long game of tag and the exercise was refreshing!" I started fanning myself as everyone laughed at me. I laughed too and we got started to get me ready. After a shower, we started on my hair.
"Oh, I mentioned you need a dress right?" Alyx seemed worried.
"Yeah, of course, I have like so many." I chuckled and Mariana was getting fitted for a dress.
"No, like a very large ceremonial dress. I'm talking huge." This made me worry.
"Oh. Well, what do we do?" I was worried and my mother stood up.

"Well, we go shopping." She smiled and Alyx shook her head.
"I'm sorry, but it needs to be a traditional dress. Something that has been worn by previous queens and Luna's. We will have to ask Luna's from packs if we can't find something in here. We have to first look through the closets of previous Queens." I sighed and stood up.
"Well, let's find this closet then." I stood up and fixed my robe. We walked down a few corridors and came up to very large double doors. There was almost an endless corridor or just dresses in bags and on hangars.
"Let's start looking. We should probably find a dress for everyone. Elina, do you mind calling for Princess Zinniah?" Alyx was talking to a maid.
"Yes, your majesty." Her eyes blurred and no less than five minutes later Zinniah was already at the door.
"Well, that was fast." I chuckled.
"Well, I was already roaming the palace when a guard came up to me and brought me here." Zinniah joined us and not too long after looking she had already found a yellow dress.
"Oh! I love it! It's so gorgeous! Can I try it on?" She looked to Alyx for permission.
"Honey go ahead. You are free to try on any dress you want." Zinniah squealed and went into a fitting room with Elina. When they came out, Zinniah was twirling in her beautiful yellow satin ball gown.
"Oh, Zinniah! You look gorgeous!" My mother went up to her and pinched her cheeks and kissed them. Zinniah giggled and looked in the mirror.
"It's perfect." She was in awe and she decided she was staying in that dress.
"Good thing I already showered!" She laughed before she sat down on a stool, waiting for the three of us to decide.
"Well, I already know which one I am going for." Alyx walked up to a green ball gown and put it on. When she came out it suited her perfectly as green was her color. It was strapless and honestly the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
"Wow. How'd you know to go for that one?" I was curious, looking at an array of blues, whites, even purples.
"I wore it to my coronation." She gave a smile and sat down with Zinniah. Alyx was very intrigued by Zinniah's abilities. My mother gasped at a coral-colored ball gown. It had layers and was also strapless.
"Try it on mom, I'm sure it'll look wonderful on you." She giggled and tried it on. When she came out she was still laughing.
"What's so funny mom?" I started laughing as I was still looking for my damned dress.
"So, whatever dress we choose, our mate has to wear the same color. Your father - even though we aren't a fan of him right now - has to now pear pink!" She burst out laughing and this made me laugh.
"Oh my god! Are we able to take a picture of that?" I remember Mordikai telling me about pictures. I never knew they existed until a few months ago and forgot about them until now.
"Yes! Elina, can you please have that arranged?" She smiled and her eyes went blurry. All of a sudden Zinniah let out a short scream and I turned around with water ready in my hand.
"What happened?" She looked excited and I got confused.
"My dress has pockets!" She giggled and stuck a little past the wrist into her pockets. I groaned in frustration.

"I thought something happened to you! Can someone open a window so I can dump my water?" Elina opened a window and I dumped the water out. I heard girls scream and I cringed.
"Oh no." I looked out the window and saw it was Alana's goons.
"How dare you! You pathetic skank! You ruined my dress for the coronation. My hair! It's ruined!" I laughed as Alyx came by. They shut up and stared in fear.
"Mutts, I need you to do something for your Queen." They looked like they wanted to lash out but they didn't.
"Yes, your majesty?" They seemed to be kissing her ass.
"I need you to meet me in the ballroom. Dry and clean first."
"But, Queen York, we don't know how to dry off fast enough." Alyx got an idea and a second later Carlisle came in.
"Yes, my love?" They kissed and she pointed at the mutts.
"Dry them off will you darling?" Their eyes went blurry and he smirked.
"But of course, my Queen." He bowed and leaned out the window. He threw a large gust of wind towards them and if they thought their hair and dresses were ruined, then they had to look in a mirror to see what the hell they looked like now.
"Ugh!" They screamed as their condition worsened and I couldn't help but laugh. Everyone had seen what had happened and Mordikai had even joined me.
"This is the best thing I have seen all week. Besides you, of course." He pulled me to his chest as we laughed. After the boys and Alyx had left, I was left with Zinniah, my mother, and Elina.
"Ugh! I think everything is beautiful, but it's just not me. And I haven't even gone through a third of these dresses and it's already been an hour and a half!" I groaned and Elina came up to me.
"If you'd like, I can show you a dress I think you would like?"
"Please!" I groaned and laid down on a couch as she searched.
"There was this one red one I think would look astonishing on you. Ah-ha! Found it!" She pulled it out and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was red, with a black and red corset, and black see-through sleeves. Elina helped me in the dress and I did a twirl.
"I'm never taking it off." I laughed as Alyx came back inside.
"Amorelli? Where did you find that?" She seemed nervous, but happy at the same time.
"Elina found it for me actually." I smiled at her and she seemed nervous.
"Is there something wrong with his dress? I mean it's beautiful and it fits!" I giggled as Alyx looked serious.
"That dress was worn by the moon goddess herself. It was what she first wore when she projected herself as a human form, dispersing her children all around the world. There are rumors that she died in the dress or she just never wore it again. However, there isn't any evidence that she died or that she died wearing the dress." I nodded. I need to read more about this moon goddess.
"Well, will the pack not like it?" I grew self-conscious.
"Depends. The elders might get offended but we can talk about it later if the topic comes up. The pack will be ecstatic that their new Queen will be wearing what their goddess once wore. They'll be proud. Except for the mutts but they don't matter. Now come along, we need to finish getting ready." We went back to Luna's quarters and we all did our hair and make-up.
"Amorelli?" My mother asked me while she was sitting on the love seat.
"Yes, mother?" I looked at her through the mirror, finishing the last bit of make-up.
"Do you think you could show me, my grandchildren?" She seemed hopeful and my grandmothers also gathered around.
"Of course." I smiled and laid down. I sighed and let the ball of light travel to my uterus. And there they saw the eggs. They were still their small size and I honestly couldn't have been happier.
"Oh my god. They're precious." We looked at my children for a little longer until I had the light dissipate.
"I go back to the doctor in three months to check in on them. After that, it's monthly visits after that."
"That's wonderful news darling. Alyx? What time is it?"
"It's half-past four. We have a half-hour left to get to the ballrooms and begin the coronation." After she said that there was a knock.
"Who is it?"
"Only the most important person here." Zinniah squeaked and ran to the door.
"Is Mordikai with you?" I was frantic and I didn't want him seeing me yet.
"Nope. Just me." I sighed and Zinniah let him in. She jumped into his arms and he freaked.
"Uh uh, you aren't getting away with trying to hide your dress from me in an act of happiness and love. Sit your cute ass down and give me a twirl." They laughed as she gave him a twirl. The love in his eyes was imminent and he looked star-struck.
"My water lily, you look so beautiful." She smiled and they shared a kiss. Carlisle then came in and Serge seemed on edge.
"Carlisle."
"Serge. Ladies, you all look wonderful. Mordikai is already waiting in the ballroom and we should make our way over there now. Amorelli, we need to have a word." I stood up slowly and stretched.
"About what?" He looked at Alyx and she sighed.
"You need to have your father walk you down the 'aisle'. It's a tradition that the father - if alive - walks the woman down the aisle as a way of handing her over to another kingdom. And since you have siblings, your family doesn't have to worry about merging kingdoms. Just alliances, which I'm sure we have one." Mother smiled at them and nodded. I sighed.
"Alright. I understand. Where is he?"
"Here." He sounded quiet and sad. I looked over and he indeed was wearing coral pink. I winked at my mom and she giggled silently.
"Well. I guess you'll be walking me to my mate." I walked towards him and decided to fuck with him. I let the light travel to my stomach and made sure he saw the three eggs. Before he spoke I had let the light dissipate and he was stuttering.
"You're having triplets!"
"How'd you know?" I faked concern.
"The light!" I gave him a confused beyond belief look.
"What light? Wow, delusion AND tried to kill your own daughter? Life isn't going too well for you." All of a sudden Mariana runs in with a purple dress on.
"Amorelli! Am I pretty enough?" I giggled and knelt down.
"Pretty? You're gorgeous darling! Forget about me, you'll be the star of this coronation!" I tickled her and she giggled and hugged me.
"I love you Amorelli." My heart stopped and the swelled.
"I love you too Mariana. Now come on, we'll be late if we don't leave soon." I took her hand and we all walked out towards the ballroom.
"Amorelli, please. I don't know what got into me. I'm so sorry. Can you ever forgive me?" He looked sincere, but he wasn't telling the whole truth. Mom then came in between us and got angry.
"This is a talk for after the coronation and dinner. Right now we focus on Amorelli."
"And me!" Mariana commented and we laughed.
"You too, Mariana." My mother gave me a worried look and I decided I'd ask her later. We arrived at the double doors for the ballroom.
"Alright. So Alyx and I have to go first. Serge, Zinniah, and other family members find your seats in the front by going through that side door right there." Carlisle pointed at a door and they nodded and left.
"Now, Ariana and Lynus will walk you down the aisle. Mariana can go before you guys, but after that, the three of you have to leave immediately and sit down so we can start." We nodded and I took in a breath.
"Don't worry baby. You're going to be a wonderful queen. I know it. And a wonderful mother." I hugged my mother and waited. We were around a small corner so no one would see me when Alyx and Carlisle went through. The doors opened as the music came on and the king and queen left. Then we ushered Mariana to start going. A few seconds after she left my mother turns to me.
"Are you ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be."
