《The Royal Mates》Chapter Twenty

~Amorelli~
I watched him lay there-
Dying.
I ran over to him and shook him.
"Mordikai? Mordikai! Someone help me!" My heart was breaking, his skin was getting colder and colder.
"Please! Can anyone help him!" I was sobbing by this point. My heart was crumbling.
The death of my mate. This is what that feels like. I do not like it.
"Wait. He can be saved." I turned around and saw an older woman with a cane walk towards me.
"You can save my mate?" I asked through my tears. She put her hand on my shoulder and nodded once. She then walked towards him.
"I know who you are Amorelli, he needs to be cleansed with water for the incantation I am about to use. It will take quite a bit of my energy, but I can heal him. Quickly, wash the dirt and grime off his body." I nodded and took a few steps back, as did everyone else, desperate to see their future king live again. It was slow at first, afraid I would hurt him, clearly forgetting he is already dead. I washed the water over him gently, only some of the dirt and blood washing from him. I then sprayed him harder with the water, pleased with all of the blood and dirt gone from his body.
"Good, now I need Carlisle to dry him and start to heat up his body." Carlisle came over, glared at me and proceeded to dry his son off with the wind, then heating him up with fire around him.
"Alright, I will now say my incantation." We all waited in silence. The fire around Mordikai never ceased, and neither did my worry, fear, and sorrow. It was nightfall by this point, and the moon was coming out. It also looked like it was going to rain, so we had to do this now.

"Ancient moons, lend your power. Bring me peace this very hour. I call upon your strength and might, bless your child this secret night." I held her hand to his wound the entire time. After she said the spell she removed her hand and the bullet that was once in his chest, was now in her hand. She walked towards someone who had a plastic bag and she dropped it in, so I'm assuming it would be inspected on who made it and what was on it besides silver.
I ran over to him and felt his body, he was warm, but he still wasn't breathing.
I started to panic.
"Miss-"
"Angelica WhisperWood. Call me Angie."
"Angie, he still isn't breathing. I'm getting scared." I started to cry once again.
"Hush my child, he will awake any moment now." She tried to calm me but it did not help much. I felt a drop on my hand. It was raining.
The storm that came was unforgiving. The rain was pouring down and there were thunder and lightning. In the sky, there was a hole. Just enough room to see the full moon in its pure and utter beauty. The moon shone bright, directly onto Mordikai. The rain hit his body hard as if it was trying to awaken him. Then a bright light came from the trees. No one could look because it was so bright.
However, when I looked... I saw the most amazing thing.
I saw Comrade in his spiritual form. He came running towards me and Mordikai's body. He then came up to me and nuzzled my cheek.
"What is that bright light!" I heard Carlisle complain.
"It is Comrade. Mordikai's wolf in his spiritual form. He has recognized his mate and wanted to see her again before he returned to Mordikai's body." Angie stated calmly. I like her a lot.

"Mordikai will be mated to Alana! Not some damned fish!" I heard Comrade growl in an unruly manner. I could tell he did not enjoy what his father just said about me. He then curled around me for a moment, protecting me from him. I put my hand on Comrade, and it was incredible. Even if nothing was there, it felt like he was... The body heat, the softness of the fur, everything.
The love.
The happiness.
I felt complete once again, and the pain was gone.
"Quickly Comrade. Go home." I whispered quietly to him and he nodded, walking back towards his body and entering before disappearing altogether. I felt Mordikai's heart and heard one beat.
"His heart is only beating once?" I questioned. There would be one beat, not two.
"In order for there to be two beats, Mordikai has to return to his body as well. He should be here soon." Angie stated calmly.
"Okay.." I stated sadly. I wanted him back now. I then felt someone's hand touch my back. Soothingly rubbing my back up and down.
That isn't what stuck out.
What stuck out were the tingles. I had never turned around so fast in my life.
I turned around and saw my beautiful mates spirit. I started crying.
"Mordikai?" He nodded and kissed my forehead, entering his body. I put my hand on his heart.
"Two beats," I stated calmly. My worry was still there, but the pain was not.
"My work here is done. I shall now retire for a while." Angie starts walking away.
"Thank you, Angie." She looked back at me and smiled softly, showing her exhaustion.
"Yes, thank you, Angelica." Mordikai's mother came over after thanking her. She sat next to her son's body.
"Mordiaki? Baby?" She shook her son softly for a few minutes.
"Mordikai?" I said softly. He grunted at my voice.
"I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch." He grunted and I chuckled softly and wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing his cheek several times. He wrapped his arms around me and held me close.
"Amorelli..." I leaned up a bit so I could see his face.
"Yes, Mordikai?" His eyes were pitch black. All of a sudden his grip on me tightened.
"Forgive me, Moya Lyubov'."(My love.) I looked at him perplexed and concerned. I didn't scream until I saw his fangs. I was then flipped onto my back and he plunged his teeth into the spot he told me he'd mark me one day. The pain I felt, was almost just as bad as the pain I felt when Mordikai died. He held me down, continuing to keep his teeth in my neck.
Marking me by force.
The last thing I heard was Carlisle scream something.
