There was a scene of destruction as far as on eyes could see but the sky retained its blue colour. The remaining buildings had signs which indicated that it was either abandoned or was being destroyed by something.
There was not a single life was present. Dead bodies were scattering everywhere both humans and mutants. No one knew how such scene could occur but the fact was there was no sign of life there.
Suddenly, one of the rubbles was vibrating which vomitting something out. A hand which emerged from the rubble was used to pull the body out.
"Damn it!"
The person who got out from the mess was Akira, the current Zero. The current debris which he was stepping on was in fact his apartment.
'How the heck does it happ-'
Out of blue, he remembered Chisato, his wife along with his mother in law who were caught in the crossfire.
'Chi-chan!'
His hands immediately started digging the debris, hoping to find his soulmate. As time passed by, it was already night time and yet neither the presence of Chisato nor Ui was present.
Furthermore, tears began dripping from the edges of his eyes. His hands were getting numb as they kept on digging without a break.
'Chi-chan, sorry!'
'It's all my fault!'
'If only I knew this was going to happen, I'll definitely protect both you even if it means forfeiting my own life.'
When the frustration which had been building up for a while, exploded like a volcano errupted. He roared as both fists smashed the ground creating a shockwave and crater.
"Chi… chan."
Unfortunately, he was not aware that danger was approaching while using his despair as distraction to strike his mind.
When his head turn to the right, something powerful struck his cheek, sending him flying through the debris.

The unknown figure saw the boy flying through some obstacle with a surprise face.
"Huh?… Did I overdo it?"
****
That single powerful attack that Zero received was enough to knock down several blocks as he crashed through them.
When the velocity was decreasing, he fell onto yet the ground only to bounce several meters before his body went rolling on the ground.
Fortunately, one of the building pillars managed to stop the rolling body. After that, he coughed several times and some blood was vomitted thus painting the floor with small red circles.
'He's strong. I haven't met any strong opponent before who could knock me into this state.'
'Where?! Where?!'
The fact that the visitor was invisible from his radar, had made him worried. The reason why he was still alive, barely was because he had received a hellish training from his predecessor whom he succeded the mantle.
'I got you!'
As soon as Zero turn, his fist was flying toward the figure only to find out that the recent strike was merely a distraction.
Then, the former immediately used both arms to block the attack from the enemy and it was still not enough to stop it. Instead, it forced him to dropped his knee on the ground with a panting.
"Zero, you're getting dull I'm afraid."
"I'm not…"
Akira replied as he tried to stand up but it the situation was very unfavourable to him as his legs were shaking after received the blow.
"Who are… impossible! Impossible!"
When Akira lifted his head to see the attacker, a shocking scene was being presented before his very own eyes. A familiar person who was like a father to him was the one attacking him.
"Surprise to see me?"
"It can't be… you left this planet long ago-"

"Didn't I once told you that the moment oppression wrapped the world, I'll eliminate its inhabitant."
'Nonononono! It can't be him!'
His mind tried to deny it yet the heart said otherwise causing an internal conflict within himself.
"Deny it for all I care but we both know that your heart acknowledge me."
"Why is that?!"
"It's because I sired you remember."
"The homeless orphan who had nothing while living in a world full of hardship."
"Tell me something, master. What is it that you seek?"
Zero asked the figure whom he refer to as master with emotionless face. The master was smirked upon listening to the youth.
"Destruction of life, of course."
"Why do you think the SAD incident happen in the first place?"
"You said that you wanted humanity to stand up and fight against the mutants."
"I did say that but it was only half correct."
His master told him the reason why the SAD incident happened in the first place was not for the sake of defeating the mutants but to enable humanity to form a contact between species. The incident was intended to enhanced their genetic code.
It was being intended to create a new intelligent species that could co-exist the humans not as cattle but as equal as the homo sapiens. It did not go as plan.
When his master return to this world, wars had been devastating as corruption and oppression began rising. He had no choice but to wipe out everything from existence even if it means dragging down the innocent lives with it.
"Master… I once respect you whom later became my idol which I'll follow your footstep-"
"It seems to me that you lost everything-"
"SHUT UP!!"
Zero was clenching his teeth during their conversation as he getting irritated by the same person who saves him from dying years ago. He taught him some martial arts and techniques to earn living.
However, despite all the knowledge that was bestowed upon him by his master, he decided to become a hero trying to save many lives as he could.
Right now, those moment with his master in the past felt like a lie when his master did not hesitate to bomb an entire world just to eliminate the threat.
"I'm going to kill you!"
"Bring it on my protege!"
