However, there many armored figures with different guarding the compound. Different different individuals kind of weapon on them. Each armored had the same functions yet different in structural design.
Some have a werewolf shape while others mimicked their owners' natural body structure. There were some snakemen among the team judging from the scaly tails on their back. Every single one of them was humanoid sentient species.
[Captain, we have been in this planet for 3 days.]
[No sign of the package, sir.]
One of the officers reported to his superior as the rest were patrolling the perimeter. They were supposed to recieved the prisoner days ago yet no one shows up.
"I don't like this, Kuru."
"I know but those are orders, man."
Suddenly, Kuru caught a glimpse of the sand moved just a moment ago. He shifted his rifle barrel toward his left side, making sure that it was just his imagination.
[Alpha Team, weapons ready.]
[We're not alone.]
The squad went into full alert yet none of them realised that they had been stalked by someone or something.
"Sir, aren't we suppose to wait for the package?"
"Yes, sargeant."
"Then, may I ask what are doing?"
The young sargeant was staring at the vice captain lying on the yellow sand with a bottle of cold soft drink on left hand and junk food on the other one.
"Sometimes, its all about relaxing, sargeant."

With a sip and some chips being thrown into his mouth, the sight of a satisfiying person could be seen. If a person with high imagination see this scene, the colourful scene and flowers could be present on the sight.
"Sir?"
"Yes, sarge."
"I think you should stop this."
"Why? Cause Captain Nox say so. Relax. He's cool."
Even though two third of the squad in high alert, some chose to slack off. The young soldier was nearly sweating because the vice captain failed to realise the "danger" standing behind him.
"Yes, he's cool indeed, Vice Captain Bon."
The familiar voice coming from behind him instantly froze him.
'I'm dead!'
'Why didn't you warn me beforehand?!'
Regretting was no longer an option as the captain caught him slacking red handedly.
"Vice captain, I'm sure that Colenel Mory would find your discipline rather "interesting", am I right sarge?"
The sargeant nodded his head obediently, fearing that he will got the same punishment as his superior.

The Colenel felt something went wrong when the communication got cut off all of a sudden. Without wasting a second, every officers went on stand by.
The busters had already queue up in the hangars, their pilots were waiting the order to deploy. The fighters were also on stand by.
[Sir, they are ready.]
[Should we deploy them, sir?]
[Deploy the recon drones first!]
[Yes, sir.]

In a place very far away, a figure with black robe covering from his head to his toe was floating in the space as he gaze upon the horizon.
His height could be considered average while his body structure is also average yet the darkness masked his face. People might wandering the entity behind the "mask".
"Hohoho, interesting."

"An Ashura with the bloodline of Seraphim, interesting."
Ashura had been in an endless war with their archnemesis, the Seraphim. Their fued started long since their first creation. Both were powerful in their own respective ways.
However, their common traits are both possess highly affinity in supernatural abilities such as telekinesis, telepathy and even elemental manipulation.
These creatures had been known roaming the world before the creations of Man. Many tales mistook them as "angels" and "demons" due to their angelic and demonic figure.

Horus had the saucer-eyed on him when the news of the escort team went MIA. This was be the first time ICE got ambush unprepared.
Comparing to his previous appearance, he assume the human form. He had the appearance of a western celebrity.
'Impossible!'
'Chrome is suppose to have the most advanced arsenal at its disposal yet the enemy manage to do a sneak attack.'
Horus without delaying any further went to the top floor of the palace passing by the staff on duty such as guards and maids. The majority of the staffs were humanoid sentient.
Chrome had been considered an utopia for the multi-racial community. Its people do not care about any trivial matters because its people only judge others based on their actions.

Ryuma rise from his seat before turning his attention to the busy city as flying vehicles were hovering in a systematic way. His eyes were devoid of emotions as his sight was locking on the scenery.
"Aniue, I-"
"Before knowing the full detail of the situation, the rescue mission will be on hold."
"But-"
"Horus! Are you rather go in and risk the lives of the soldiers or you would patiently wait before dealing a heavy blow to the enemy?"
Horus was really upset because Ryuma rejected his request before he could finished it. He could only stay silent because he knew Ryuma possessed the wisdom of the Emperor. Ryuma had been handling the affairs of the empire as the Acting Emperor.

8 189Elder's Game
In a world set upon by an ancient threat, a new cycle of civilisation competes for power and resources. Amidst the games and politicking of Elder beings, the masses are unknowingly ensnared in plots and schemes that were centuries in the making. At the heart of the world’s workings lies the Tyreal Valley—a land that promises to fulfil the desires of those who seek it. As a haven for the truly strong, the path to this promise is paved more often than not in warfare and blood. To two young stragglers fighting for more than just their own fates, it is left as their only answer. But maybe that’s just what their enemies want. Magic system vaguely similar to GameLit ones (no system nor interface to help), with certain elements that are a bit more analogue. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality. Initially, the focus is on the male lead as he comes of age in an environment with little scope to change his future, only to be thrust into new circumstances that permanently kill some of his hopes. 3k words every chapter
