When we reach the headman’s house, we don’t see many people. Only a few people standing before the board and a lady sitting at the reception counter just beside the board are seen.

We went straight to the board and look at the quests available. The quests are written on paper and pinned to the board using something like a nail but I don’t think it is nail since the human science and technology from earth is not much useful here. May be thorns from a bush. The rank of the quest also is written at the bottom of the quest paper. I saw only 1 star and 2 star quests other than the single 5 star quest at the top row of the board.

1 star quests are such as watching the fields so that the moks would not ruin them, finding the lost pet of an old lady, etc. And their time frame is 1 day. So, I think some of these quests are daily quests. But the reward also is very few. 1 silver coin each.

2 star quests are mostly hunting quests such as hunting a green monkey from the wood near the village. Their time frame is about 4 days and their reward is 7 silver coins. Comparing to the yellow monkey-moks I sold at the safe zone, hunting the requested mok seems much more profitable than selling random moks.

The sole 5 star quest is to find the people of a tribe called Riders. Well, I don’t even know well about the village. Don’t think about the 5 star quest. Even 2 star quests might be dangerous. So, I think I need to collect more information about the surrounding and the hunting ground.

I went to the reception lady and said “Hello there, My name is Cank. These are my men, Brick and Rey. We are travelers. Do you have any recommended quests for us?”

The lady replied “Hello Mr. Cank, Mr. Brick and Mr. Rey, I’m Larry HighJump. You can call me Larry. By the way, what kind of mok-soul do you have? Knowing what you have might be easier for me to recommend”.

“Yellow monkey-mok, all of us” I answered.

“In that case, please look at the 1 star quest name (moving house). It is in the third row.” She recommended.

There, I saw a quest named (moving house). It is just to help a couple move home.

“Hey lady, the reward is 1 silver for one person or 1 silver for a group?” I asked.

“1 silver coin for 1 person and they need only 3 people. I think it suits you guys.

We apply for that quest and the lady move that quest from the board and place it in a box near her after writing our names on it. Then the lady gives up a piece of paper with a blue flower logo, the name of the quest, our name, her name and her signature on it. She told us the direction to go and we left the headman’s house. We followed her direction and found a house. We called the owners and show them the paper. The couple looked at the paper and started making us move things to another house a little bit far away.

We stayed in the village for about 7 days doing only 1 star quests. By now, after paying for our room and meals, we have 7 silver coins left. We can stay at the inn for about 3 days without working.

But our goal to come to soul world is not to work but to become qualified soul master. In this village, we don’t get any information about first class soul master. I think I need to go to cities to know more.

The only thing we can do now is to get used to our mok-soul and to get more soul to be stronger. So, we started thinking about doing the 2 star quests. And we all think we have enough information to do so. So, today, we went to headman’s house and apply two different hunting jobs. But they are both in the same region, the white star wood, north of the village.

Our first prey is a green monkey-mok that lives near the pond at the border of the wood. Unlike the yellow monkey-moks we faced before. The green monkey-moks are nocturnal moks. They are active in night. So, it’s easier to hunt them down in the day time.

When we reach the pond, it is already evening. After having dinner that we bought from the village, we find a good spot to hide. Our plan is only to work at day time when the green monkey-moks are asleep. But without knowing where the green monkey-mok is sleeping, it would be difficult to finish our quests on time. So, at night, one of us will watch the pond and wait for the time the green monkey-mok drinks water. Then, he will follow it and see where the monkey hides and sleep in the day time. Tomorrow, we would hunt it down. We would take turns to watch out all night.

When the moon comes out we started hearing some noises from away. It’s Brick’s shift now. So, Rey and I am going to sleep. Then, Rey will take the shift and then, my turn. I slept soundly. I was even dreaming about my family. My father, my grandfather, my mother and my sister. They were listening to my story very interestingly. I also am happily talking about what have taken place in the soul world.

It’s at that time that Rey wakes me up. He said it is my time to watch out. Both Brick and he haven’t see any mok yet. I get up very slowly and take my duty. Some noises can still be heard till now. The breeze of the night is quite cool and there is no tiny mosquitoes like there is on earth. So, it is not that uncomfortable. I was looking at the pond thinking about anything that comes across my mind feeling the quiet and peaceful nature.

I thought I saw a child on a dog-like mok. That dog comes from the direction of the village. I rubbed my eyes and look at it again. I’m not sure about it being a dog and a child sitting on it since the dog-like mok runs very fast. Following it with my eyes, I suddenly saw a green monkey-mok. My attention shift to the monkey-mok for a while. But when I look at the dog’s direction, I can’t see anything anymore. It has run out of my eyesight.

Although I was wondering what I saw was what I am thinking, my eyes are following the green monkey-mok. Under the moonlight, it is seen clearly. It is a little bit bigger than the yellow monkey-moks. And its feet are not that of a monkey but that of a chicken. Its feet has only 3 pointed fingers. They look really sharp. And it has held a rabbit-like mok in its hands.

After drinking water, it walks away. I carefully follow it worrying it would notice me or by any chance another monkey-mok would see me while I’m focusing on this particular monkey-mok. According to its behavior, it doesn’t seem like it is good at climbing trees and it doesn’t seem to live in a group. On the way, I found no other monkey-mok. I found only some bird nests in some big trees.

The monkey walks very fast. I find it a bit difficult to keep track of it. It walks for about 30 minutes and stop before a big bush. Then, it move the bush aside a little and entered into it the place he just made. After it has entered, the bush gets back to its original place. The bush has hidden a cave behind it. I stay very still and observe the green monkey. I waited there for about an hour and the green monkey-mok doesn’t come out. And also, no other green monkey-mok comes here as well. So, I returned to Rey and Brick. They are still asleep. I waited for a while. When the dawn comes and the sky becomes brighter, they both wakes up. All three of us wash our faces and have our breakfast. What we eat is what is left from what we bought yesterday.

I told them that I saw a dog and a child. And they gave no command on it. Since they do not know what it is either. And I told them that I found the hide of the green monkey-mok. Then, we started preparing to hunt the green monkey-mok I saw.
