《Tidbits from Mahashoti and Other Stories》Mahashoti – Inflated Ego and War

The guards mistook Shriti’s soul as that of their princess Mahashoti and carried it with them to Vhurab. Shriti’s soul was then pushed into a new body that belonged to princess Mahashoti. However when the mistake was detected the planetary positions had changed and the conditions had become unfavorable to set right the mistake. So Shriti stayed as a guest in Vhurab. As per the rule of Vhurab, she was made to go through past life regression.
Shriti felt waking up from sleep. In past life she was the daughter of a village headman in planet Atabel. The story begins by her abduction followed by rescue, fights, war, politics and other complications. It tells one thing. If we see the history, we will find that most wars have been fought due to personal ego, arrogance and destructive aspirations of despotic rulers. The history has consistently repeated itself throughout the life span of a planet. This novel is interesting because it is full of ups and downs, surprises and unimaginable things.
However the best book I like is famous epic Mahabharata. One can learn many things from this epic, which are relevant in present time. I have included many tidbits from Mahabharat in the book ‘Worldly Wisdom 2 Godly Grace’ published by Authorspress.
Drona and Dhrupad had studied at the same school during their childhood. Drona was poor whereas his friend Dhrupad was the prince. Dhrupad had then declared to Drona that they were friends and whatever belonged to him belonged to Drona.
When they grew up Drupad became a king and Drona earned his livelihood as a poor priest. Drona was so poor that his wife used to give their son rice water instead of milk. Seeing this plight, Drona went to Dhrupad for help.
But Dhrupad had become arrogant. He insulted Drona. “Friendship exists among equals. I am the king and you are a poor priest. Ask anything as a charity. But do not claim it as friendship,” thus spoke King Dhrupada to Drona when the latter had asked the king for one cow.

This humiliation angered Drona. Thus he cursed Dhrupada.
What goes up, it must come down
Forever none can keep the crown
Yet this crown made you so proud
One day your head will roll on ground
Dhrupada was infuriated and asked his guards to drive away Drona. Drona remembered the insult. This small incident provided just another reason that caused the Great War ‘Mahabharat’, which is depicted in the epic. This war fought long ago in India can be likened to a ‘World War’. It was fought due to clash of personal ego of few individuals and resulted in total annihilation of people from both sides.
Elora Cave Carbing showing Mahabharat War
Will life continue on earth till eternity or will it come to an end someday due to war, decease, or calamity? What will happen to souls of people who will die? Does life exists on some other planets where these souls will take rebirth or is there no such thing? If life does not exist after death, is there a purpose to existence?
The original fiction ‘Mahashoti’ does throw some light on these questions. However, it is not an authentic text. It is just an imaginary story that may appear to be incredible and real at the same time.

A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World
Alice is a girl who loves science and lives on Earth. Then, suddenly, she was punted into another dimension. A dimension where magic and monsters roam the land, swords and sorcery reign supreme, and, for some reason, a System keeps dinging at her and telling her that her stats and levels are increasing. As someone who loves exploring mysteries, Alice is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. After all, everything has to have a ‘cause,’ including the System, right? What to expect: This story is going to be a LitRPG set in a fantasy world. However, unlike many LitRPG’s, the system has both a definite beginning and definite limits to what it is able to accomplish – rather than a singularly omnipotent, omniscient being that is tied to the laws of the world, the way systems are usually presented in LitRPG’s, the system is close to both, but has definite limits and rules which it operates by. This story is also relatively slow, since that is my writing style. The main character also begins the story as a young, 15-year old girl who has yet to finish high school, and is going to explore more of the world around her as she grows as a person and starts to get her feet under her. Tales of a Grim World.
Ancient prophecies say that once every thousand years, one shall rise to bring about a new age of darkness. A harbinger of evil, a being born for the sole purpose of sowing misery and disgrace. Through them, the world shall know of war, famine, pestilence and death— the four seals that herald the end of times. Besieged by the maws of evil, humankind shall suffer in agony as they watch everything they once knew be unmade before them. To oppose such a being, the whole world has had to stand united, in the battles that came to be historically known as the Great Holy Wars. Guided by the Saintess of Irithel, brave heroes coming from the four corners of the world had to sacrifice their lives in order to fight against the Harbinger and cast away the darkness. Our story begins in the year 578, a bit over six hundred years since the end of the fifth holy war. In the kingdom of Valtia, a small nation belonging to the Union of Western Kingdoms, an urgent missive bearing the royal seal arrives at the hands of Earl William Taylor. Though it might still be almost half a millennia too early for another Harbinger to be born, dark clouds already loom over the northern continent of Gram, as many bizarre events start taking place. Follow the story of our main characters as they struggle to survive in a grim, unforgiving world. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Warning: This work is intended for mature audiences and contains adult scenes and heavy descriptions of violence and gore. CODEX
The call of adventure was prevalent in Eric's mind since he was a fledgling of a boy. He loved exploring new places so much, that he happened upon a magical tome in a cave he found when he wandered around his neighbourhood. And from this tome, manifested the ghost of a dead sorceress who made a home in his mind. And so began his journey in becoming a legendary mage; and also a royal pain in the ass. NB: Just a side project made purely for fun! HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL. NO PLOT! Well, maybe a little plot. Okay, it has more plot than I first intended for it to have. And uh, there's not much, but expect profanity.Check out my edgelord book:https://books2read.com/u/mgg7dD
