When 1980 hit, O'Malley gets antsy to be driven because Gladas had gotten too old to drive him, so Gladas handed him over to the neighbors that lived a few feet away from Gladas. Joe couldn't drive him because he was too tall for him to see the road. So he was a borrow car for Jan and her husband to drive until they got a car. The olest child was careless and the only youngest child was next to own O'Malley as a family tortch.Then when he met his new owner after 15 years, Nathan drives him places in town.

One morning when O'Malley is in a good mood in the summer 1993, he sees an Impala at a house where Jan ias cleaning house for some people. The glossy beauty, laid eyes on him like flies on a tomato. O'Malley greets the Impala's eyes and admired her as she is looking at him. The moment dissappeared when Jam comes out to go take O'Malley home and that same night, the Chevy Impala followed him home and makes love to him. That was the reason why O'Malley was into Chevy Impalas because they has a glossy personality when he looks into their eyes.

Many years later, as O'Malley was in 30s, he enjoyed the free repairs from Joe everytime Randy couldn't get him to start up.Joe had this magic touch to him that O'Malley liked so much. He was driven to Randy's work to hang out and relax during the day. Soon Randy got to the point where he retired and got disabled. It was just O'Malley and NAthan spending time now.
