Dearest O'Malley Chapter 2

Introduction My life had started on a conveyer belt at a Chevrolet manufacture in 1967. I was white as a cloud but glossy with shine as a bottle of nail polish. It was all at a factory in Arlington Texas United States. There are two Chevrolet factories located in the USA; one in Texas and the other in Bowling Green Kentucky. There is also one in Ingersoll Ontario, Canada and another in South Korea in current use. Usually Chevrolet Malibu cars were made in Hamtramck, Michigan and in Detroit as my ancestry goes back, but I was proudly born and raised in Texas. My mother came from Detroit and my father came from the longhorn state in Texas where the longhorn cattle roamed and nestled and also where the football team played in the kick-off at the stadium. For the way my family is, I've had some pretty unusual events. My dad and mother both got a house in Arlington Texas and was born on a Tuesday morning, right before my mother had to go to work. She and two of my siblings; a older brother and older sister couldn't be with her to see me being born because they had to go to school, but got to see me after school. My younger brother who was born after me had to be transferred to an urgent care clinic in Texas to undergo some life support system because he couldn't breathe very well. So I didn't get to see him until three weeks later. My Uncle Tommy; who was a 1962 Chevy Nova that loved us kids and let us do whatever we wanted...as long as it was okay with mom and dad. Both my parents worked one job each and they were gone long hours of the daytime to keep food on the table. Sometimes, my mother would work long hours of the night if it was going to be long. My dad and his big brother; Uncle Tommy would cook dinner, play with us, feed us, and tell us their childhood day memories. Uncle Tommy told us the time he was fishing for gar in NewYork and came across a 15 feet long alligator gar flopping all over his boat. The first reaction on his face was shock. His second reaction, was joy. He'd never seen a fish so big in his life. It almost made his boat sink when Tommy and my Dad bashed it to death before it could sink it and swim away. When they got to the shore that same day, they cooked the fish and covered it in Tuscan herbs and spices over a camp fire over scary stories that they experienced. My dad told us kids when he was a kid, he was almost a gang member and hung around drug dealers and trashy cars that provided rides to do One-Way rides with the mofia people. It was a good thing he wasn't because he was put in the impound and he learned his lesson of doing stupid things like never rigging a card game with the Crips for money and drugs. Uncle Tommy usually had the wildest tales that we've ever heard. He's been in the impound, he's been in a cortet, he's had an encounter with a legendary creature...the wompus cat of North Carolina and Georgia, and he's been all over South Carolina while vacationing the hot spots. We had a lot of fun with Uncle Tommy and when he moved, our friendly-family favorite neighbors; Helga and Donnie Simmons would come over and baby sit us until one of our parents came home. Sometimes, they had us come over to their house and play...but oh my stars! Were they hoarders and bad. They never had any kids of their own and now that's how they came to collect piles and piles of junk and trash everywhere. I easily got lost there. I got stuck in a whole sea of paperwork that would touch the ceiling. My siblings couldn't stand it because of the smell of mouse and rat traps they hid under te piles of junk and they couldn't find them. For three months, their house was a wreck until one day, it was that time where my siblings and I would come over to the Simmons and play and I would see everything that used to be in piles of junk and garbage be turned into big, roomy, play areas where it wasn't crowded. Mrs. Simmons was pregnant and got some help to end the hoarding for good. It was really, really pleasant to find a clean and uncluttered home that was inviting and warm. The first time I met my cousins, was in Fall of 1968. My siblings and I were fighting and couldn't be contained because my older brother would come after me. So my parents had me sent off to New Mexico to see my cousins. We started to do more activities that were actually fun and much better than I was having at home. We went camping in their back yard, roasted some marshmallows on the fire, told ghost stories, watched scary movies behind their parent's backs, ate snacks and went to bed super late. We usually watched those old black and white movies about monsters that were cheesy and fake, so they weren't bad enough to send us to hide in the covers. We actually made fun of them quietly and snickered how bad they looked and you could actually see the fishing string attatched to the stupid thing. I had a blast there and returned there every summer as a traditional thing. When I got a little bit older, I was young, dumb, and full of cum that I discovered a friendship with a serial killer. He was an old 1957 Cadillac hearse; named Black Zombie, that I hung around with to help me with my studies. HE was much older than me, but friendships don't have an age requirement to be one to have one. One day after we finished with my homework, we went to an old tap room and I had my first beer in my life. Black Zombie always talked snippy and deep like some feared all around criminal that got into fights. He's been out of jail for quite some time before I ever even met him. We had gotten drunk on a Friday night and I bashed his hood up against the lounge's loveseat furnature. I thought that slippery herring sucker fish died for a minute because I just bashed an old hearse that could cause me to end up in a box in the ground. But Black Zombie just laughed it off and told me I was the strongest kid he ever met. Then he told me if I wasn't his friend, I'd be in the graveyard tomorrow and I'd better watch it. At first I thought he was kidding, but when I looked at him, he wasn't kidding. I gave him my exact word that I wouldn't do that to him again. Black Zombie nodded as if to say "Good, now we understand each other"It was late and I got home safe as can be but buzzed out if my straight 6 motor. The house was dark and everyone was asleep. I just had expected for the light to turn on at any minute, and get chewed out by mom and dad about getting drunk and it was bad for me to hang around with serial killers that have done unholy things, but didn't. My older brother Edgar was in his seprate bed sleeping and when I finally settled in, Edgar woke me up by asking me where I've been. I told him I was with Black Zombie and hadn't gotten done with my homework until 2 AM. Edgar bought it and I'm glad he did because he was a little tattle tale. Edgar quietly exclaimed out "Whoa, you were doing homework with that serial killer? I heard he killed like 50 people in a church in 1959. What's he doing out of jail?" I just told Edgar that Black Zombie was my tuitor and helps me complete my homework at his house even though his house smells like beer all the time. The dummy believed it and asked me if he killed anyone else since he was out of jail. Calmly, I told him that he hadn't killed anybody and he was busy working shifts at the graveyard. I added in that he helped kids with their homework. With nothing more to say, Edgar finally shuts up and I went to sleep.Three weeks later while I still have been hanging out with my friends, Impa and Gonzo, I heard on the news that Black Zombie was arrested and towed away for killing a family after they accidently bumped into him at the supermarket. He was hoisted up on a crane and watched under a few guards' eyes. Gonzo, Impa and I were quiety talking about it in school so no one could hear about it. I told my friends I knew the psycopath and that he helps me with my homework every five days a week. Shocked in fear, they tell me I was crazy for befriending a serial killer like that and that I break up my friendship with him too. It scared me to hear that out of my two friend's mouths. I'd have my throat cut open if told Black Zombie I didn't want to be his friend anymore.Later after school, I heard on the news that Black Zombie figured out how to work a crane to get himself down while killing several guards in his path and three police cars on his way out. A couple dozen SWAT tean trucks, police cars and K-9 unit vans were chasing him passed my school and up towards downtown. My face filled with fear as I parked in front of the TV in the living room that night. My mother came in and saw how petrified I was and switched it to Looney Tunes instead. She told me that the news wasn't for younglings like me because it was filled with bad news of serial killers, crimes commited and murder scenes. She did have a point there and I was glad she turned on cartoons for me because I was getting a sickly tummy about Black Zombie on the news. That same night was a full moon and I was sleeping, when I heard the window open. My eyes opened wide and it was Black Zombie. Black Zombie found out where I lived and snuck in to see me. He slithered his way in my room and told me to shut up and not say a word. I was asking him what was he doing in my room. He told me he wanted to see me one more time before he went on death row and that he loved me like a son he never had. Before he left that night, he kissed me on the hood and told me his last that he would join his father Saint Death on the other side. At first I didn't know what he was talking about. Other side of what? That next morning, I woke up and watched the news to hear more about Black Zombie. I heard on the news that Black Zombie was sentenced to death row at 5:12 in the morning and crushed by the junk yard crusher in the salvage yard. At that moment, I understood what he was saying and why he snuck into my room last night, he was saying good bye forever to me before he died. I gave the poor hearse a moment of silence for his friendship before my brother turned it to Flip The Frog with his cold cereal in one side and orange fruit in the other. I had a hard time focusing at school that same day. I still couldn't stop thinking about Black Zombie and what he said. It was true that I was kind of like a son to him and even though my daddy warned to me not to hang out with him because he was a bad excuse of transportation he ever met. Black Zombie hadn't killed my dad because if he did, I would have taken forever to recover from a horror that played over and over in my head. I had to be sent to the principle's office twice for not paying attention and I was kind of distorted too. My teacher thought I was being possessed by something, but I was really fine. The prinicle asked me what was the matter with me and why wasn't I very focused today. I quietly and almost mumbled out that my friend snuck into my room and told me his last good byes before he died the next day. Wonderingly, the principle had asked me which friend it was. I didn't want to say his name but I was forced. So I told him. And when the principle heard that name of "Black Zombie" he froze in fear. He got to telling me the whole story of how troublesome Black Zombie was in school. He had murdered about 7 students in the lunch room and framed one of he former honor students for craddling drungs in his locker. Stunned, I stayed quiet. I couldn't imagine how savage Black Savage was in school. I asked the principle not to call my dad or mom because they didn't want me hanging out with the killer when I disobeyed them. I didn't want them to find out or else they would punish me. Just before the principle was about to pick up the phone, he paused for a moment and he sw the fear inside my heart through my eyes. He sighed and put the phone down and sent me to the school councilor to speak with me.After that day, I started to do better after a slight downcline with my emotions with my serial killer friend. I started to do my homework with my friends Impa and Gonzo. Every day after we did our homework, we'd go treat ourselves to the movies and the drive in diner. Sometimes we'd have thriple dates with our girlfriends.I told my sweetie all about my tough day I've been having and my grades slightly going down. The grades almost had my mom and dad concerned and I didn't want to tell them I've been hanging out with a killer when they told me not to. She was shocked and held me closely to make me warm while we were watching the movie. She was telling me to make me feel better, her dad was put in jail because he was a killer and committed only one murder. He had to stay in jail for a few weeks until his court day. If they proved he was innocent, he would complete his sentence in the detention center. If he was guilty, he would stay in jail for life and he would never see th family again. I smiled as if to tell her "Okay then. Whatever makes you closer to me" After the show, I started to feel a little on ease. My girlfriend had this loving and welcoming feel when I was near her and I didn't push back on it. I needed her touch all this time. I spent the niht over at her house since I was invited to dinner by her Aunt Grace and Mother. Over time, my girlfriend had to break up with me because she was moving away to Tennessee and she wouldn't get to see me again. I accepted the agreement and let her go without any emotion. When I was 12 months old, I was weaned, sold, and transported to Farmington New Mexico. There in that town, were some parts that reminded me of Texas. Since I was born there that reminded me of my home that Farmington had so I didn't get homesick. I had one sister, and three older brothers that were shipped into different states of America that I never saw again. My lucky younger brother; Edgar ended up on Route 66, close to my mother's home state and he was living like a king. As again, I was rowdy and wild outside, but kind-hearted inside for a young stud from Texas. I sure didn't have the accent, but I fought like one and if they got fresh with a Texan, they'd better watch out. They were tough and bared no mercy on the sinners making fun of them. My story had a unique pattern where it starts as fiction-like back-story and plays onto historical events and comes back to fiction again. Now, I know it sounds like an unusual autobiography, but I heard stories that were like that just like Eleanor Roosevelt before she met her husband or like President John F. Kennedy, but with a true story that it just had some parts missing and covered up because it was unbearable to put in the textbooks. it was so classified that even historians took it out so the teachers wouldn't tell their students about what those parts happened that got covered up like the happening where John was invited to an extraterrestrial space craft and the real assassination on him for sharing alien information that wasn't suppose to know. Right now, I'll lay out a summery of what's ahead in my story,. First I'll start by coming from an abusive husband that would kick me, then going home to Gladas Kennedy to Joe Popplewell, to be driven around a while by Jan and Randy to bonding with Nathan and to making a match for him by meeting Natalie. There was a lot in my life that happened. I had many moments where I got attention from people in town that i was a nice car and it delighted me to see people interested in legends like myself to be out and rolling, unlike the cars made today that are made out of plastic and look nothing like the original cars like the chargers and the newest Malibu designs. When people passed me by, some of them would laugh, which could only mean one thing; they were blind and had no taste. I didn't usually give a care on the insult and I just drop it and walk away not caring to look into the bother. I did things years ago that I enjoyed and never looked back at because it was long gone that happened in the years, put behind me such as trouble with the law and moon shining in the woods and getting familiarized with marijuana laws in states that allow it like in Colorado. they call it medicine when it can make you high for days. Now, laws in New Mexico are working on getting it legalized because hey, Colorado spreads the word that it can help cure and reduce pain. Durango had a lot of stoners that say they were impressed and why in the world does New Mexico need more tweekers? In the 60s, marijuana was a gateway into serenity rather if you were a hippie or just horsing around. It still was a thing then and will be now. There is a lot of advantages of growing up in the 1960s like dating, diners road racing, moon shining, cruising, groovy television shows that weren't terrible and the swap meets that weren't bad. I even got to see my first movie at the drive in with a female on a date called "American Graffiti" and I kissed in the back while settled in "park" so i could get a far away seat. My eyesight was far sighted and i felt comfortable I the back. The love of my life which was a 67 impala treated me out for our second month anniversary of our relationship. I had remembered when I first met her at a random club where I was singing about my life just for her in 1968.When the 1970s arrived, my friend; Impa went missing, Gonzo; my best friend, went AWOL, Texas-ape crazy and we had the cops search the entire woods...nothing was found except Impa's keychain. So they gave up and I never saw Impa again but I wondered what happened to him. I went to my second home and my owner; Gladas drove me around to work, grocery stores, and church. I met some pretty bad and rotten eggs that needed the "Texas-boy treatment" and to be taught a lesson at Gladas's work which I took the honors of beating them up.Then, I came to my third home in the 1980s where I met Joe and Carol; the grandparents of Nathan in which I didn't meet Nathan until later right after Gladas stopped driving me. Joe took the charge of caring for me when I needed something. I'd start right up for him. I met Ian, a blue Buick under the carport which was my stall mate. Carol didn't like him, but Carol liked me because I was so big. I also had met Randy and Jan in a reunion and at the time, Jan was carrying a little bundle of joy when she came to see Joe. Unfortunately, I've never been a father because I've never met the right female that wanted ankle biters running around. When 1992 had come, Nathan was born and to get to know each other, Jan and Randy would take Nathan and his older brother, Erik for a ride in me while Randy and Jan drove me into town. Erik was a piece of garbage and was pecking at the arm rest in the backseat when Randy told him to knock it off. Jan thought I was a scary ride, but Randy thought I was pretty cool. Randy and I got along like beans and cornbread. For being borrowed until Jan got the new car, I enjoyed being the only car to be driven. So I was driven once again to work in and to the grocery stores. When 2014 hit, Nathan was already handing out with girls. there was a basic one named Shay I didn't like her because she didn't appreciate classic cars as much as Nathan did. She weighed 240 pounds and it was like carrying a giant boulder. I think she wasn't worth hanging around because she'd ditch Nathan to go hang out with Jerome. I had to do something to keep Nathan supported and so I kept my eyes on him. When shay was out of the picture, I had my picture taken in 2014 at a car show and again in 2015. seeing the same brunette girl made me realize that she would be perfect for Nathan, but she seemed so shy. A few years later. I was parked at the carport again and nowadays I had wished Nathan would open up and meet people like they used to in my day; but it was all online. When Natalie came along, she changed everything in Nathan’s life forever. Ironically, he didn't used to like watching movies, but now he does. I had never seen him so happy and it was all thanks to me who opened the door to make them a couple. It is my job to tell you all about my story and the roads I've taken and the every turn I've ridden down to tell about the day. There was a lot of ups, there was a lot of downs, there was a lot of friends and loved ones gained, there was a lot of loved ones and friends lost and others that stayed put. When I get the end of my road, I see a secondary road of adventures and I never know where I might end up...or even another pathway of many adventures. So here's how my life started out as the way it is.
