The time before the event of the tournament. Shin was having a great time relaxing to his beach bed after the battle against Necrom and Jigsaw while Philuffy was busy playing with her rubber ducky at the pool until she noticed water ripples appeared from the pool.
!!!
Shin suddenly felt alarmed upon the very weak Battle Instinct. Then he went under his bed and signals Philuffy to hide as well. With much of surprise, Philuffy went to the corner of the balcony and cover herself with the rubber duck on her head. Shin became annoyed to Philuffy as she is so stupid enough to hide something so obvious to get noticed.
But Shin knew it was too late, the weak presence was finally inside the house.
The footsteps were deep as it walks even further from his house. Shin knew who was that person was as he covered his mouth to prevent even the most minimum sound as possible.
Shin closed his eyes knowing that Philuffy will be noticed anytime. The noise came upstairs and walked through the balcony. He watches the figure from the balcony, facing towards the direction where Philuffy was.
“I know you’re hiding there! It’s no use that you can hide from your sworn rival. I came here to fight you all day and night.”
…
Shin kept himself quiet. As the figure became kinda pissed and faces the bed then it went towards the bed and every time the figure goes near the bed he felt wanting to start panicking but he knew he already got caught that easy.
!!!
“Ah, Ahhh, AAAAAHHHHH!!!! Let go! Let go of me! I don’t wanna fight you! I don’t wanna! AAAHHHH!!!!”
Philuffy tried to look where Shin was. The she kept hid herself by covering herself with the rubber duck only to see Shin getting drag by a barbaric man wearing a worn-out karate gi. He has a rather long hair that reach his thighs.

He was holding Shin’s right leg while Shin was struggling not to leave his home.
“Philuffy! Help me!!! Aaaahhh!!!”
“Silence! You’re living alone in this house yes? I only found a rubber duck at the corner at the balcony and if your friend was around. He is good at hiding than you.”
“Huh!?”
Shin was much in shock to know that the stupidest hiding place was the best place to hide. Philuffy was staring at Shin with her usual plain look as the man looked at Shin.
“Have some dignity and be a man, Shin Kizuna! I am here once in a while so we have to fight with our hearts content.”
“I never enjoyed fighting you so much you hunk of musclebrain!”
Once they reach the fence of the balcony, the man raised his foot on top of the fence.
“Hey, what do you think you’re doing?”
“We’re leaving obviously.”
“We’re… technically at the second floor, idiot!”
“You’re a worthy rival to me, Shin! A fall from second or third or top floor is nothing to you!”
“I am not that super human!”
“Hush now! We prepare to leave.”
Shin looked at Philuffy with tears on his eyes.
“Philuffy! My will is at the drawer! I will be going to Sector Wasteland for awhile so do give them to our friends while I fight this musclefreak, I am counting on you! I am…”
The man jumped while Shin was speaking in the middle of the sentence
“COUUUUUUUUNNNNNTTTIIINNGGGG ON YOUUUUUU!!!! Gh! Ow…”
The sound of impact was heard that Shin had a bad fall despite being grabbed by foot. Philuffy went towards the fence watching Shin reaching her out as she reaching back to him.
“Philuffy! Noooooo!!!”
“Shiiiiin!! Bring Phi souvenirs!”

“You… son of Aaaahhhhh!!!! Stop dragging me! Ahhh! Let me go!! I’m gonna die! Noooo!”
Philuffy’s eyes widen from all what Shin went through and from her point of view. The sound of cars beeping and road scratching sounds, then some cars crashed.
"Ow! Watch where you going! I'm getting bumped by the rocks! Ouch! AAAAHHH!"
Philuffy slowly closed her eyes every time Shin bumped to the rocks as it gotten harder and harder for him.
“Phi will miss Shin. Can’t wait for Shin’s souvenirs with Shin’s friend.”
Then that is the end of Philuffy’s flashback about the letter.
Everyone except Shin were thinking about him until Dice just shivers down to his spine. Wilhelmina asked.
“What’s wrong?”
“M-man… I didn’t t-think that monster will visit Shin suddenly.”
“A monster? Was it a Nightmare?”
“No… far worse than that.”
Dice made a serious look towards Wilhelmina which made her shiver.
“I-I rather not ask any further…”
Anna intervenes.
“U-um… How about we start our strategy for today’s battle? Ms. Wilhelmina? If you don’t mind?”
Wilhelmina smiled a bit then went towards the said meeting area
“Very well, follow me then… Let’s have a meeting on our room”
Everyone followed her except Philuffy who thinks about Shin and the man with him. If they were having fun on a manly fight.
“Phi wonder who Shin’s friend is… Well as long it was Shin’s friend then Phi doesn’t mind.”
Shin sneezed while he was worn out from the fight against his friend. He doesn’t have the Specter cartridge as he was struggling upon using his scrapblade alone. The man jumps in with his bare fist ready to strike him down.
“Lion’s Pounce!”
“Man… once I am done here, I will definitely get her.”
Shin clashed with the man by blocking the man’s fist with Scrapblade’s blunt edge. Philuffy suddenly sneezed as well then, she just simply ignores it then Philuffy went to the meeting area where his friends are.
