“Now that things are very complicated for you, how about we end this here with this card of mine?”

The man in visor just took out a card from his right hand, shape like a credit card.

“Transform.”

He swipes the card on his Breakdriver as it executes a chant after the swipe. A puzzle logo appeared from his unique Breakdriver but the function was the same as Shin's Breakdriver.

ACCESS JIGSAW.

The portal came out and slowly goes through to him but his appearance change. The vest that used to be plain yellow became a puzzle designed vest and a cape that was hanging around his belt almost like it became the puzzle designed trenchcoat. The rest of the clothing was his usual jumpsuit.

“Now, let’s play some games, Shin Kizuna!”

“Who… who the hell are you? Why do you act like you know me so much!?”

“Oh! Yeah, totally forgot about the introduction.”

He suddenly summoned his pole axe made of puzzle pieces, out of thick air and leans it around his shoulder.

“Status Breaker Jigsaw, level 50 and… your best friend. Since you have no chance against me with you holding back on me, I shall at least show you MY Gear.”

Here he comes! Shin don’t know what Gear he possesses. His actions were so unpredictable that even he didn’t know if he was messing with me or not.

“Let me tell you the rules of MY game. As you know, as a Status Breaker. My level maybe 50 but my stats can be increased as I want by solving puzzles.”

He summons colorful objects scramble together in a box he made. It has images on each circle some are same but were in different colors.

“Let me give you a sample?”

He swaps each color like a tile-matching game then suddenly when he made three match of colors the images were different and this man calling himself Jigsaw just absorbed the matched colors to his body as it chants.

ATTACK UP!

DEFENCE UP!

SPEED UP!

“Oh my! A balanced buff, it looks like you’re in a world of hurt, Shin. By the way, you can’t destroy my Buff Coins with anything, the game mechanics itself was indestructable.”

Shin thinks he is still playing around against him. Those Buff Coins are really a pain.

“Here I go! Ahahahahaha!”

He quickly dashes towards him like he teleported. Shin had no time to react, he just punched me on the face easily, Shin plan to recover quickly but he kicks him upwards then kicked him again forward, ending it by smashing him down to the ground, with his arm together act like a sledgehammer.

“Gah! Dammit!”

Shin think to do something, he is starting to become his personal punching bag without giving much fight.

Jigsaw just look at me with disappointment.

“Just use that cartridge already!”

“Huh?”

“If you kept this so-called cursed power for long, that girl will die.”

Shin started to force himself to activate his Gear but he suddenly remembered a girl was stabbed by his red arm and was smiling as she said. "It's not your fault..."

"Tch! I can’t do that… No chance. If I used it here, I might lose control…"

Shin stood up and recovers from the damage. He was breathing heavily.

“Why are you doing this?”

He sighed like it was nothing and looked away.

“…like I said, she deserves to suffer…”

“Why did she have to deserve that!?”

“Her fate in the future was nothing but destruction of the world.”

“What do you mean by that!?”

“No biggie, the boss said not spilling too much info.”

What was all about Philuffy will be the key to the end of the world? Shin thinks to the kind and selfless girl to become the destruction of all. Shin just shove it all what he said.

"I won't... tolerate this... You forced my hand now. I won’t hold back any longer… as your so-called best friend. I will give you a friendly death.”

Jigsaw walked back acting scared.

“Ohh! Scary!”

“But…”

“But?”.

Shin put his Breakdriver around his waist.

BREAKDRIVER!

Shin just smirked.

“Not today, see ya!”

He quickly insert the cartridge as the driver chants.

TRANSFER!

He teleport out of that godforsaken battlefield.

Jigsaw was astonished and just laughed.

“As usual… He always doing some very sly moves, well… Mission failed, Time to bail! Or... Mission accomplished if I gave that Nightmare enough time to kill her...”

He teleported by getting himself shattered in puzzle pieces.

Shin teleported at the open park. he manage to escape death’s clutches, he wanted to rest more but Philuffy is still in trouble.

“Wait for me… I’ll save you, no matter what, But first, I need to do something…"

As Philuffy ate all the cookies, she suddenly fell asleep and as soon she wake up, she wanted to move but seems impossible as she noticed that her head was wrapped around with some kind of string and noticed she can’t feel her body. These might be the effects of these strings.

Suddenly Anna looked at Philuffy with her usual kind smile.

“I see that you’re awake, now that you’re here. I won’t be alone anymore…”

Philuffy's eyes were blank. But her face was telling that she was struggling by widening her mouth, showing bit of her teeth like she was clenching. Her face looked like relaxed but she was really struggling.

“Oh! Don’t bother struggling, this web made you paralyze. Since it was around your head, you have no ability to speak or move well... on most parts.”

Anna touched my chin and lets me stare at her eyes.

“Well, in your case… You’re my true friend so I won’t kill you, instead you will be my little sister, okay?”

“Don’t be afraid, I am still the same Anna that you knew.”

Anna hugged Philuffy and patted her head but Anna's way of laughing was scary. Philuffy felt that it was all her fault, she didn't follow Shin's order and led in a dangerous situation.

Anna suddenly stood up as she released Philuffy and fell, lying on the sofa.

“Haah! I never feel so alive! To be able to be with someone I knew.”

Anna looked closer at her face with a scary grin.

“Say… Are you still hungry?”

"Ahh..."

"Ooh! She can speak a bit? How strong you are... As expected from my wittle sister."

Philuffy wanted to say no but with paralyze effect active. Anna just left her at the worn out sofa and went through the darkness.

The lamp itself was enough to illuminate the surrounding objects.

Meanwhile, Shin was struggling, walking towards the said Abandoned warehouse along with the supposed bait which was his friend. He wears similar uniform as Shin and has red spiky hair. His friend was worried about how seriously Shin got injured.

"Hey... Maybe we should call for back up?"

"There is... no time... Philuffy is... Philuffy is..."

As soon as the reach the door. Shin tried to opened the door but it was mysteriously locked but in reality. It was locked by the webbing. Shin took out his Breakdriver as he tried to insert the cartridge.

"I... I have to..."

His friend stopped him, carrying a smile as Shin looked at him.

"Leave this one to me, my friend."

BANG! BANG!

The noise was heard coming from the door, which led Anna surprised.

“What!?”

It was a strong impact coming from the steel door.

BANG! BANG!

“HRRYA!!”

And it was destroyed by his friend's fist.

BOOM!

“So, this is where that monster lives.”

“Yeah, I never expected that someone really took the role bait instead of you.”

Two voice of men were heard. One of them are familiar.

Anna felt frustrated when someone found her secret base.

“You bastards… How did you find this place!?”

When the dust slowly disappeared, their identities were revealed.

It was Shin and another man with him seem to be his friend.

Philuffy felt happy to see Shin once again. But she noticed how horrible Shin's body was. She think it was the heavy feeling she felt earlier.

“Philuffy… Once we’re finish here... I’ll give you a good spanking for being a disobedient girl.”

Shin was smirking at Philuffy despite having a serious injuries. His friend suddenly walked in with his fists ready for battle.

“Let me-!”

Shin stopped him from entering the fight. He was confused when he did that, but Shin’s face was back from being seriously angry.

“What’s a matter?”

“I want to destroy this monster… personally.”

His friend was surprised.

“A-are you serious? You don’t need to go that far ya know? And besides you’re seriously injured.”

“This monster took something valuable to me… And I will destroy that monster with no mercy.”

Anna suddenly laughed.

“No mercy? Oh please, that’s supposed to me MY line. You lousy elite Breakers don’t understand MY pain!”

“So, what about your pain. I don’t care, you used that excuse just to get what you want.”

Anna flinched.

“I’ll kill you!”

Anna used a Breakdriver but it was different from Shin’s and the other Breakers and chants.

NIGHTMARE!

“You think you can stand a chance to me? I am…”

She took out her cartridge with the drawn spider on it.

SPIDER! EXECUTE, NIGHTMARE!

Black smoke suddenly gathers around Anna while laughing manically. She changed to a humanoid spider, unlike other Nightmare monsters, they can take the human form with the combination of the said Nightmare cartridge. Anna has feet of the spiders around her back as she was covered by pure black aura serving as her armor. The spider’s fangs were behind of her arms, serving to be her weapon.

“NIGHTMARE BREAKER: SPIDER, LEVEL 70! I will devour all of you and show my little sister what I'm made of!”

Shin was dumbfounded and looked at Philuffy.

“You had a big sister? I thought you're the only child?”

Shin said it jokingly then he tried to stand normally with a smirk on his face.

“Anyway… big sister or not, you still took my precious treasure to me… Hope you're ready.”

Shin took out his Breakdriver and put it around his waist as it chants.

BREAKDRIVER!

Shin looked at me with his face became sad.

“Philuffy, you will witness my Gear that I hide from you for the first time… You had a right to hate me or scared at me but I will tell you this, I will keep my promise that you will have a good life, even if it means killing some of your precious friends.”

Philuffy started to tear up. Unable to say anything to comfort him.

Shin took out his cartridge with a drawn claw on it. He breath deeply and made a pose where his left arm raise at the right side on the length of his waist and the right arm where he was holding the cartridge, raised on the left side on a length of his shoulder, he execute his transformation by inserting the cartridge as he stood straight with his right arm raised in a same length as his shoulder. .

“Transform!”

Shin insert the cartridge to his driver which execute the chant.

ACCESS!

“NOT ON MY WATCH!”

The portal came out and pushed the Nightmare away from him then it went through Shin.

SPECTER!

While chanting is appearance changes to that Human Nightmare back then. His hair was white, his eyes were yellow and he has a huge claw on his right hand, big enough to grab the whole head of a human, while wearing pure back clothes almost like a ghost and his blunt sword called Scrapblade appeared from his left hand, holding it backhanded. But he was wearing a worn black trench coat, red shirt and pants and his black shoes as the chant finally ends.

FEAR COMES FROM THE HEART! BLACK SPECTER!

“A… HUMAN NIGHTMARE!? BASTARD… WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?”

“Status Breaker Specter, level 1.”

The battle between a Status Breaker and the Nightmare Breaker began with the first clash of both side.
