Ever since he got depressed the only thing that can comfort him was eating and reading novels

he already sold the house of her mother which was very old but the money didn't last. He spent most of it in a girl who was only leeching on him by the time he discovered she was only a gold digger he has already spent haft of the money he got from selling the house. because he also got a younger brother in the province he sent a quarter of the remaining money to his younger brother so he can sustain himself in the province.

With the remaining money, he was left with he got a thought about doing business and he knows a person who is doing business which was her mother's friend who was doing business and he ask her if maybe he could invest in her business. and he did invest in it and even sign a contract but when the business booming and ask when would he receive some earning of the business his mother's friend told him that he never invested in any business with him. He couldn't believe he was scammed

so now he got no money, luckily he paid for his apartment for 1 year in advance he stocked up some food which could last him for a month 2 months if he squeezes it.

after he got scammed he started looking for a part-time job or full-time job, he even thinks of going back to his province luckily he found a part-time job which was a convenience store clerk the store was called 11/7 he worked there for 6 months before the manager offered him full-time. after working for a year there he saved up money to pay for all of his bills but he couldn't pay the rent for his apartment, so he swallowed his pride and ask for his father to send him money so he could pay his rent. his father agreed but only paying his rent

It has already been 14 years since his father has been giving him money to pay for his rent. he was also hired to be the coach of a high school basketball team which gave him eventually a steady income to save some money so he could pay the downpayment of purchasing the unit he was staying on, now he is living quite well he didn't need to squeeze every penny he got. Now he could eat outside twice a month which he was very happy with.

Since basketball was a popular sport in the Philippines, his passion for the ignited when he sees young kids playing in the street so he decided he would play basketball again in his day off he goes to the local basketball court to play with the people who were there, since he always goes there the people who play at the court invited him to join their team and play for their barangay so they could win some games in the inter-barangay games every summer. He also played in some sponsored event of some famous local basketball brand who hosted local tournaments, in some tournament he was lucky to win with his team to reach the finals and win the trophy. He even got to the chance to play in the FIBA 3x3 basketball. where they won some game but ultimately lost because the opponent was better than them.

The team that he coaches already won 2 championships after 4 years of coaching the team, He was so proud of being a championship coach. the school even offered him a new contract with a higher salary which he gladly accepted. Even some of his players were treating him like their idol, His best player even got to play in a top caliber team in college which eventually he got drafted to the PBA but he did not have many playing time. but he was still happy that one of his former player got drafted to the pro leagues but he still wished that he was the one that got drafted.

Now was summer time in the country but his team is holding a try out today for the local kids he was even hoping that there was an unpolished gem, which he could make that kid polished his skills.

He was going outside to buy some breakfast at a near tapsilogan place where he could buy some tapsilog(1) which was famous in the country he was a regular at the place he even knows some of the staffs that are working there after walking to the place he greeted a waitress saying "Hi Marie"

"O Skyler nice to see you," Marie said. "The usual one, and can i also get some coffee" said by Skyler

"What coffee 3 in 1 o kapeng barako(2)"Said by Marie. I'll go with kapeng barako". After eating i stayed in the place to talk and ask Marie

"Marie is your son going to the tryout at the high school today," I ask her

"Yeah i told him to go even if he's not accepted, try and learn something from the tryouts," Marie said

"Ok I'll see your son there," I said to there before leaving

As i was walking down the sidewalk i saw a young kid who was dribbling his basketball in the sidewalk but his ball bounce to the middle of the street so he tried to chase the ball, but suddenly there was a car going fast so i ran up to the middle of the road to push the kid to safety. But i was blasted away by the car maybe 6 to 7 feet away from the car. luckily the car stops and didn't do hit and run the driver of that car got out of his car and tried to help his passengers to get out of the car

and some people who were at the sidewalk was calling for an ambulance. when the ambulance arrived they tried to carry me to the hospital but i didn't make it through the journey. but before dying, I muttered the words "I wish i can go back to the past where i was a young kid so i can achieve my dreams"

and the lasting i heard was a loud

"DING"
