- Recorded Average Stats of Races Upon Birth -

I kept on staring at my blue screen, the Status screen.
The only knowledge I had about this screen is the ones my parents told me.
There is something odd about what they told me.
They said that Centaurs are not good at making something out of their hands. That is why they are born with low Dexterity.
What confuses me is my Father doing blacksmithing. Blacksmiths create armor and weapons using ores and such. Thus, an individual must have higher Dexterity.
'Father may be raise by another race, which grants him that kind of skill,' I deduced.
Born as a Centaur, Father should have given up hope for his children to become blacksmiths like him. The only explanation why he had set his eyes on me should be because of my Luck stat.
Not that he could teach right now. I am in the middle of a black forest with no being around but trees and grasses.
I heard another rustle behind me, 'Oh! Correction.'
I am in the middle of a black forest with 'One other being' around. On the corner of my eyes is the conspicuous blue blob slime.
I tried to get close to this slime. But every time I get near it, it rapidly scurries away from me. It just kept approximately five meters from me.
I just ignored it and went back to my routine, walking, and stomping.
[Warning: Low Stamina.]
A blue screen put me to a stop. Stamina? I check it.

[Stamina: 2/20]
I think its time to rest. I kneeled under a tree and closed my eyes. I have been gasping for some air for a while now. I regulated my breath and tried to regain some stamina.
I never knew how many hours have passed. In this kind of environment, time is undetermined.
I noticed that the surroundings are getting dimmer and dimmer. The sun may be setting at the moment.
A few moments later, a blackout. There goes the only solace I had in this place. Now I am blind in this unknown environment.
'I wonder where that little guy is.'
I check my stamina.
[Stamina: 2.05/20].
A minute had passed and I recovered a point zero five of stamina. If my stamina recovered in this setting, twenty minutes would constitute a single digit of stamina.
In six hours, my stamina would be back in full. I then close my eyes and leaned to the tree, ready to sleep.
It's hard to sleep without the comfy of my desk/bed at home. It took some time of standing back up, kneeling, leaning, back up, kneel, lean, and so on until I got the right spot. A few hours after I doze off. In the moment of my deep sleep, I felt something prickling on my hind leg.
'What the heck?!'
[Health drained -1]
[Health drained -1]
[Health drained -1]
A blue light stuck on my hind leg! It is a slime! The one who kept following me! Its body is illuminating this blue light that enlightens the area.
The slime is draining me! I tried to jumped and galloped to get rid of it. But it still is stuck. In about two minutes, my health would run out and I would be dead.
I reached out with my hands pulling the slime off. Its skin is sticky and moist, making it difficult for me to get a grip.

I am now getting annoyed and afraid! I would be dead in about one minute! 60 seconds had already passed!
I felt my chest heating up. 'Not now! Come on! I am in the middle of life and death situation here! Stop acting up in moments like this!'
This time I reared myself up. The heat coming from my chest quickly transferred to my front legs and as it touches the ground, the surrounding area where my front legs are, caved in.
Then a small scale shockwave waft around me. This, in turn, flings the slime out of me.
[You have gained a skill.]
[Active Skill: Stomp (0%) - a stomp powered by stamina that creates a shockwave around the user. Higher proficiency consumes more stamina and creates a greater shockwave. Stamina consumption -1]
[Gained one stat points.]
I move forward away from the slime and observed it.
[Health: 56/120]
It took more than 50% of my health! I move further away, about five meters apart from the slime.
The slime just stayed on the spot where it fell. For a few moments, there was no sign of movement coming from it.
The blue light coming from its body gradually dimmed until darkness came back.
[You killed a demon. Proficiency experience gained.]
[Stomp (1%)]
[Gained demon data.]
[Slime - a blue blob demon that drains health upon contact. They can transform into the one they have digested into.]
'That was a demon?! It has been following me for some time and I never knew it was a demon?' As far as I know, demons are the ones who the Royal race and the people in Bestia are fighting against.
‘Why does heat kept coming from my chest?!’ Everytime it is acting up something happens to me. The first time I felt this heat is when I was at the school. The second is the worse. It was when I stepped into the portal and got my personal skill. And this is the third, I acquired the Stomp skill.
I better make that I would get at the bottom of this phenomenon.
Back to the slime. 'Thankfully it is just only one of it... WHAT THE?!'
One by one blue light ignited around the area. Don't tell me... these are all slimes? Demon Slimes!
I need to get far away from this place!
[Stamina: 15/20]
My stamina is enough for a few kilometers ahead. I have been walking in this forest and I only notice that one slime!
Wait a minute. I may be wrong. I may have been observing multiple slimes and thought that they are just one!
The effort of stomping all-day came to fruition. I gained the skill Stomp. It is one of the skills Centaurs get upon birth. But due to the issues regarding my racial skill and confusing the system with me being human and centaur at the same time, I never gained the skills.
Looking back, the blue lights are now far away. I better go forward a little more.
'I think I have an ample distance away from those de... demons.'
In this area, another sporadically placed blue lights lit up.

Blue Hills
Nothing had ever felt quite right for Alexander Adamson. He'd worked his way up to a job he could tolerate, a few casual friends, and even a nice little apartment that he could call his own, though it really wasn't. The problem was that none of it was satisfying. It was as though he were going through the motions of a life, rather than having one of his own. Of course, it didn't exactly feel right when he woke up in a strange bed in the middle of nowhere. Nor when he was told that he was now the proud owner and operator of a local farm. A farm that had belonged to a late uncle he'd never known. But with the first train out of town a full 'season' away, he had plenty of time to get used to the idea. Plenty of time, perhaps, to even get to like the strange little town of Blue Hills. I have a discord now. Marvel at my ability to somehow still be antisocial on the other side of a screen! Back from hiatus along with my other fiction. Chapters are on a Thurs/Sun schedule until book 3 of that fiction is completed, at which point I'll be updating this daily. At which point uh.... I dunno what I'm going to do.

Unseen and unnoticed, he records their tales. The System’s power guides him forward, an unending search for his true purpose. Through the myriad of fantasy worlds, a dark truth is hidden from all. As the hundredth successor takes the mantle, the seems of their plot will begin to unravel. This is the standalone sequel to my first book, Colossus’ Dream. Reading the first book is not required.
