How does one put a value to a person with all of these weighing down on their shoulders? No matter how you look at it, there is always an ‘imperfection,’ something that just isn’t right.
But then again, how do you decide what is ‘right?’
Everyone has their own set of morals and ideas, so how is it possible to pinpoint one, absolute ‘perfection?’
Simple, you can’t.
If only it was easy to make everyone understand. Unfortunately, even a world of wonders doesn’t work like that. If not for those that set precedents that others try their damndest to match, then we have ourselves to blame.
When we look at ourselves, do our ‘faults’ not stand out in contrast to every little bit that makes us the person we are? The things we wished were different, the aspects we want to morph, the traits and habits that we resent ourselves for having, those qualities that we deem undesirable… How differently they’re weighed by the individual.
When you look at these ‘faults,’ do you see the road leading up to them or those they guided you towards? How differently would your life be if this one thing ceased to be a part of you? If this one, small bit simply vanished, would you even be the same person?
Then again, there are those that would gladly be someone else for personal reasons. How curious a case, to become someone completely different…
Nevertheless, how would you face these self-titled ‘faults?”
Would you lock them away and deny their existence because it’s simply easier?
Would you let them overwhelm you, letting yourself become someone you never wanted to be?
Would you fight against them and struggle for something pointless just because you can’t find a better solution?

Would you let them grow, becoming so afraid of them that you let them speak for you?
Everyone deals with these problems in their own ways, but this isn’t a tale about just anybody. This is a story about four, unprepared youths that find themselves tied to one another. A tale of happy endings or broken hearts, that is yet to be decided. Whatever the outcome, the choices rely on these four. How they manage the difficulties that lie before them and those they carry… well… what would be the point in letting you know now when there is so much to tell.
So let us begin this tale…

The First Psionic (Book 1: Hexblade Assassin)
Since childhood, Sorath has been able to sense emotions and hear thoughts of those around him. He is the first soul in recorded history with a psionic affinity, and he is either feared or laughed at for his abilities. As an eighteen-year-old Hexblade, he takes on the King's bounty lists to pay off a half-million gold debt he inherited from his presumably deceased father. If he fails to make repayments, he will be taken into forced labor. If he flees, he himself will become a bounty target. Outside faction boundaries in the lawless wild, bandit gangs run rampant, and Sorath quickly discovers that many of his past schoolyard tormentors and rivals are on the King's bounty lists—and that far more sinister influences are at work driving the kingdom's descent into crime and corruption. The Heroic Tales of Silas Horne
In the year 1858, the system came to the world. It brought with it beings from fantasy and mythology the likes of which the world had never seen before. In the American frontier, a place already known for being a dog eat dog world the system gave bandits the capacity for untold violence, not to mention monsters and system loving fanatics hell-bent on the murder of the innocent. But are they truly so innocent? No one knows what the system is or why it came, they do know one thing though. That the world post system isn't a place for a hero. Luckily for the world, U.S Marshall Silas Horne is no such man. ----- AN: This story is a litRPG inspired by "Randidly Ghosthound" and "The New World" but after reading many such stories and finding them to be a tad samey I decided to write this in a new setting, the Wild West. Also, my release schedule is chaotic, expect at least one 1000 word chapter each day but probably like two more will also be released.
