《The Diamond Of Eve》Chapter 3: "An unchanging bitch"

It took me only a second to figure out what type of handle to open this kind of hatch was, and the only deal about it was that I had to pull it from the top and then slide it down to the left, it was a weird mechanism but somehow easy to figure out.
After that, Alissa seemed to have gotten closer without me looking, but of course anyone would. Upon looking inside the wooden hatch that had now been opened carefully, there was a key like described and some kind of bottled fluid, it was a small vial of a red shining liquid.
If anything could be weirder than it would be this, but seeing this is starting to make me believe that there could be something different about all of this.
I mean the only thing so common to this is a fantasy novel you’d read online, I mean honestly its just too cliche.
I took into notice that we had been in a castle, rituals is also something that you don’t see in your regular everyday life, maybe on the occult side of things from where I come from but not regularly.
So I took the key, it had a dragon adorned, and the liquid too.
“Let me see that!” Out of nowhere Alissa snatched it out of my hands just as I was looking at it.
She checked it out with a wonder that I haven’t seen before, it seemed pretty interesting to know exactly what grinds her gears and what smoothens them.
“That was something I found, inside the hatch, it was described in the book, something about a fourth key, so I figured this out”
She turned to face me with a stern glance, somehow it was oddly appealing towards her nature, usually she’s all loud and doesn’t really care about etiquette but this was pretty different.
“So you were lying weren’t you”
“If I wasn’t lying would you have told me?”
This last question probably kept her quiet, but she still had an unchanging expression.
“I guess you may be right but at least try not to do it again”
“No worrie-”
“Now let's get the hell out of here, I’m beginning to get hungry again, so you’d need to look for food”
Again never any different as the demanding Alissa will always be the same…
“Hurry up, shit-stain”
Yep… Unchanging bitchery.
Anyways I got up and she handed me back the vial not caring much about how it was, I stuffed both the keys and the vial in separate pockets, wouldn’t want one metallic object piercing through glass with some weird liquid in it.
As I went towards the door she waited for me to “take the lead” I’m feeling pretty confident, although this place looks a bit creepy it doesn’t seem all that bad, it just seems abandoned, empty and destroyed.

The entrance to this room was filled with debris, but if you moved towards one side you could see a narrow opening towards what looked like a gigantic hallway.
There was a rug, dirtied and filled with dust all over the place, I could see the end of the hall quite clearly, that was because there were windows that were large although really dusty the sunlight could beam through the windows.
I tried helping Alissa get through the debris with an open hand but instead of a valid response all I got was:
“I don’t need your help you idiot, just keep moving”
… Well alright miss fuck everything.
The long hallways were kind of calming, with the sunlight beams and everything it was a refreshing new thing to walk past.
At the end of the hall though, there was a busted open door, not much debris, I think I’d be able to push it open with ease since the door is only about wooden as can ever be.
I kept looking back to see if Alissa follow but of course she always was walking behind me with both her hands in her front sweater pockets.
Now that I think of it I didn’t tell you guys that although we have our uniforms she wears a sweater instead of the blazer that the school administered to us.
Whatever, that's useless information.
“Hey dumbass!, look at that!”
“Hm?”
I was caught thinking and zoning out again, but…
“What the hell is that!?!”
I don’t know what the hell I was looking at but it was a whole fucking reptile with wings! Like a damn Dragon!
We were both silent except for when we just saw that, except I don’t think I saw that coming holy shit!
The whole room was destroyed and half of it was completely open, like there was no other side of the castle, It was a nest for the dragon, and the dragon itself was a black with grey streaks going down the head and towards the tip of his tail.
Alissa wasn't that glad to see something she had never seen before in fact it had made both me and her petrified just looking at it.
...I think it was pretty cool though.
If I were being honest.
I sighed with a shaky breath, in the corner of my mind I already know this wasn’t the earth we once knew, and that was definitely the same for Alissa.
I turned to look at her, and she faced me as if she was asking me what she should do.
Quickly I looked around for a way out, well there was a small creaking door into another room but what i didn’t know was the fact if there was any type of way to leave from that room, so that was a no-go.

There was another opening that I also saw, on the other side of the broken busted up roof there was the open forest I also think I can smell the sea here, so then that side must definitely be another way out of here.
After observing more I saw that there were actually two more ways out, they were small crevices between the cracks of the walls and the tail of the thing as well as the other was right beside its face, I decided to get close enough to Alissa to tell her to go the other way.
I am sure I can take care of myself however as soon as I said that she was a bit reluctant.
“What the hell do you mean?!” Of course we were whispering since a gigantic damn dragon was sleeping right behind us, and I don’t plan on becoming food for something else anytime soon thats for sure.
It took me a bit to convince her but as soon as she gave up she started cussing me off under her own tongue.
It feels great to win an argument but honestly at this point I don’t really feel like that is much of an accomplishment while witnessing a huge fucking dragon in front of us, I bet you’d probably do the same.
We both left towards each end at the same time to get out easily, if we both went behind each other, I have to mention that we would be blinded, and a misstep could cause us both our lives.
I took into great consideration which side was actually easier, and I don’t know why but I decided to give her the advantage point with the tail. Call it my manly side or whatever but I respect women y'know? Really.
Authors note: RESPECK…
I gave her the timing we would both go at it, I held up three fingers and slowly went down to 0 when I felt like the time was right and we both went into the small crevices at the same time.
After that, it was such a beautiful display, none like I have ever seen before, The skies were clear and filled with clouds gorgeously, the sea wasn’t so far away from here, I was right on that.
I could hear the sound of nature unlike the way is sounded when I was on earth or before here.
There were no car sounds in the distance, there was no city sound, or anything like that.
It was complete nature around here.
Ow!!
“Stop zoning out about the view already and start focusing, we still aren’t out of the issue here, where the hell are we supposed to go and where the hell do we get food?”
Alissa had punched the back of my head with much to my surprise, I stared at her blankly for a moment.
“Good point, either way, I think it would be best if you can keep an eye out, but try not to be too loud, there can be other things like that beast or whatever it is”
I am still a bit in denial about this, but if it’s in front of me, I can’t just say its all too real, I can still be dreaming but I am definitely not sure. For whatever reason I will just take this as an opportunity to explore this, and I quote, “Dream” that I am in.
There was a large open crater of a castle and yes, that was where that beast was supposedly sleeping, or rather I should say it's his chill spot.
While taking notice of my surroundings I can feel that the air is fresh and unbelievably tasty, although its odd, yes, I can taste the air that flows around.
The forest trees were abnormally a bit bigger than your usual tree, these trees looked like they were maple trees or birch trees but they were more taller than the average pine tree that you’d normally see around the closest forest near you.
The sunlight could pass through the cracks of the leaves of these larger trees and it was a sight to see.
Alissa and I were stunned, and even more so since this is not the earth we know.
How did we come here? What was it that I touched that supposedly lead us here? These were questions that had no answers, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t going to look for one.
We walked for quite a while before we finally came up on a small dirt road, this was a sign that society existed in this new world.
I was excited to get to meet new people, it was something I had been waiting for.
So we had followed the trail and at least about 16 minutes of walking we witnessed the first person that we could see.
I wanted to meet him, and I was definitely going to figure out where this place is.
