Tarot still felt unsure about his task as he looked around the chamber. The room was not that big. The pillars stood high, holding what was once a great structure. Adia walked forward and began feeling the symbols carved into each pillar. Tarot noticed there was an archway, but there was no door inside it, just a stone wall. He pressed his paw against it and felt it was solid. “Tarot, come here!" Adia shouted, waving her paw. He walked closer and saw carvings etched into the stone. Tarot stood quietly, then questioned. “What is this?” "Notes!” Adia responded. They both looked at each other in amazement. “Let me see the flute” Adia said, remembering when she was young, Dilos showed her notes and how to play music. She knew the sounds of the chords, but wasn’t sure how to play the flute. She brought it to her mouth and blew, but nothing came out, no sound, only silence. She looked frustrated. “It must be broken but it can’t be!” Adia handed it to Tarot and he put it to his lips. He blew into it and the sound of the note was so pure and magical. Adia's eyes widened as the swirls carved into the flute lit a bright blue. The note on the pillar lit up in harmony with the beautiful tune. Tarot stopped and the lights faded away. “Tarot, you have to keep going. You got the first note.“ Adia said excitedly as she went to each pillar that lead to the arch way. “Try again!” Tarot took a deep breath and he thought of what Nova said, to let the feelings and energy guide him. He closed his eyes and thought of Flara and her sacrifice. He thought of the sacrifice Dilos made for him. He felt the energy move throughout his body up to his fingers. He could hear the melody and opened his eyes. Adia was smiling and showing him each note that lit up. The energy and feeling consumed him as he played. He was focused on the melody and watched each note light up leading to the archway. He saw the solid stone disappear and become almost like a liquid barrier. Adia was mesmerized by the flow of it. Tarot stopped playing and looked at the portal. Adia put her paw through it. She could feel the electricity, which made her pull her hand away quickly. “Do we go through it ?“ Adia asked, looking at Tarot. He nodded his head. “We have to, before the notes fade away.” He said as he pointed to the first note, fading slowly. They both stood in front of the portal, then all of a sudden their pendants started to glow a bright red. Adia looked at her chest, then at Tarot. He grabbed her paw and they both jumped through.

The room was lit by many torches of endless flames. But it was not dimly lit, it was a room in which everything was clearly visible. There were many stone pillars. In the center of the room where three large slates that protruded out as dim red light emanated from the ground, like a pulse of a heart beat. Adia fell to her knees and stayed there with her jaw open and her eyes open wide. She could not believe what she was seeing. Tarot strangely was unaffected by it all. It was like he had believed all along, even though he was traveling the same journey of belief as Adia. Something drove him to keep moving. Something was helping his emotions to stay focused. As he looked around, Adia regained herself. She got up and shouted “Wait…Wait” She gained her breath. “These are all the rules that govern this world.“ Adia was staring at one of the slates. The words were jumbled and some rules were scratched out to the point that you couldn’t make out what was written. Some were scratched out by claws and they saw flecks of blood on the stone. Tarot followed his paw against it. He walked to each slate and saw just single words ‘immortality’ was one, then he saw nurture and breeding crossed out. He kept walking, looking at each rule that was changed. He jumped as he turned behind the slates and saw a figure slumped over. Adia followed and gasped at the creature. His lifeless body, bent and broken. His claws chipped and they could see dred blood that was stuck to his paw. His other paw was clenched closed, concealing something. Tarot bent down and looked at the creature. The features were of a wolf. Adia covered her nose from the stench that emanated from the corpse. “Who do you think this is ?” Adia muffled. Tarot examined him and saw a tattoo on his shoulder that was familiar to him. It was a circle with leaves and a paw in the center. ‘Dilos had the same thing?’ Tarot thought and looked at Adia, “Dilos was the ambassador of Love and Nurture. This must be the ambassador from here, why is he here?" Tarot questioned, pulling out Dilos' journal and reading through it again. He read out loud, “ When Dilos went to the ambassador's dwelling, he found the ambassador’s dying daughter, her baby, Flara‘s mother, and his parents but the ambassador was missing.” He kept reading and saw that when Dilos went to the ruins with Tarot and the baby, he was attacked by Sinister. But Tarot and the baby was untouched. When Dilos regained his energy, that was now tainted, he brought Tarot and the baby to a secluded area of the world far from the village and Crags to raise them. He looked at Adia who was looking at the body. She noticed his features were similar to hers. “A..dia? Your the ambassadors granddaughter.” Tarot announced. Adia stepped away from the body. Her emotions consumed her. “Why is he here?” She cried, her heart ached. Tarot consoled her as she buried her face in his chest. “I think he was the one that changed the rules.” Tarot said. “Noo !” Adia cried harder. “He is the one who changed this world.” She cried feeling betrayed. Tarot held his friend and noticed again the object in the ambassador's paw. He leaned forward and pried the object out of the paw. As he examined it, he noticed a needle in the center start to slowly move. Tarot realized it was a compass. He was confused by it and placed it in the satchel. He grabbed Adia hand to help her up. “We need to fix this world.” He said. Adia nodded. They looked at the slates, complexed. Tarot pulled out the chisel and hammer. He closed his eyes to feel the energy he felt from the flute, the electricity flowed through him as he heard Novas voice, ‘clean slate’. Tarot’s eyes popped open, “I have to clear the slates.” He began chiseling the slates, scrapping off all the rules. “A..are you sure this is the right thing to do?” She asked, backing away. Tarot didn’t hear her. He kept chiseling until all the slates were clear. No rules, a clean slate. The red glow coming from the slates turned blue and the pulsing stopped. The liquid portal dissolved to an open hole to the other room. Adia stopped, “What about Sinsiter? He still in there.” Adia pointed at the door. “If I did everything right, Nova said this would weaken Sinister.” Tarot walked to the door and placed a paw on the handle, then looked back. Adia pointed her spear and nodded her head. Tarot open the door slowly. It was quiet and dark as he opened it wider. All he heard was silence, then walked through. He didn’t see a glowing light from Sinister. He looked over at the wall and saw Flara leaning against it, her eyes completely white. He ran to her and he held her close . She wasn’t breathing. Tears began streaming down his face. Adia held her spear, looking around making sure Sinister wasn’t going to jump out. “Tarot take the orb, we need to bring her back.” Adia whispered. He picked Flara lifeless body up and carried her to Adia. “You have to put the orb in my paw and tap it three times. Make sure you hang on to my arm.” Tarot explained. Adia nodded her head and did what she was told. She tapped the orb three times and they transported to Love and Nurture where Nova was waiting.

Tarot walked up to Nova in total anguish, holding Flara close to him. Adia stepped back staring at Nova and her impressive beauty and dignity. “Tarot you cleared the the slates that suspended the world. You did your part for this change. Now Flara needs to finish. Place the necklace around Flara.” Nova turned to Adia. She looked down at the necklace that Tarot saved her life with and handed it to him. He placed Flara gently on the ground and removed his necklace, putting it around Flara’s head, then he place his necklace around his. Tarot watched as Flara was lifted into the air. Both necklaces glowing a bright red, engulfing Flara’s body. Nova placed her paws on Flara's head, chanting words that Tarot couldn’t understand. Flara’s head slowly tilted back and her eyes turned a red crimson, then an explosion of red light shot out of Flara’s heart leaving a crescent shape symbol on her chest. Nova laid her on the ground and her green eyes appeared. She looked at Tarot who was in shock and relief. She looked in his eyes, he felt her soul, Flara was back. She felt a new passion, a sense of balance, and a new respect and gratefulness, but also felt sorrow and regret. Tarot helped her up and held her close. She embraced him and whispered, ”Thank you.” Flara was ready for her part and Tarot knew it.
