While looking at the dark sky in the window as he was staring at the zombies passing by as he was eating his limited amount of food to fill his stomach for the night.
"The night falls and it should be dark outside considering that nobody turn on the lights in the corridor. It's hard finding anyone around, much less escaping here."
'As I was running short of food. I probably need to find it at the cafeteria before escaping out of here.'
After looking at the remaining food in his bag, he decided to drop by the cafeteria when he escapes later on.
'I could probably sleep now to conserve my energy for tomorrow, but I was curious on how this ability works.'
[Tier 0 Synthesize (Active): A ability where you can combine two different things to produce something new.]
[Skill Utilization: 30 Energy per use.] [Skill cooldown: 2 seconds.]
"Combination.. The description is not enough for me to learn anything about this ability that I got. Does it only allow Combination? Or there are other things you could do with this? Is it possible to apply modern day knowledge?"
He got a lot of questions to ask, but nobody was around him that could have answered his questions.
"All of this was so confusing to figure it out!"
His puzzlement and confusion came from the fact that his life has been already complex and the situation that was happening right now accumulate another form of stress that conflicted his line of thoughts.
While it also lets him feel a strong emotion of loneliness and emptiness that he couldn't explain to himself.
"There is something that I felt was missing, but I couldn't point it out."
He tried thinking the reason for this for a while before he started to get frustrated at the fact that he couldn't conclude or assume anything, thus to forget about this he decided to sleep for the night without forgetting to push the box that will close the gap on the door as he sleep on the floor.
'Goodnight'
...
In the opposite building of the storage room where most of the students in the school occupying the roof.
They are arguing arguing and discussing on their next course of action, especially when they run out of food, but as they are too scared to leave the roof or do anything, most of them are agreeing to stay here while waiting for the rescue that will pick them up.
"While staying here is safe from the threat of zombie. We would be running out of supply before the rescue comes." a well built tall young man strongly against of their decision on staying here.
"W-why do we need to do that, there are zombies everywhere in the school and also the cafeteria will solve the problem in our food." a thin young man stiffly instantly rebuked him while declaring the decision of most of the students in the roof.
"You are not qualified to be the leader of this group Richard." the young man gets some courage and confidence to continue as he saw most students were agreeing at him.
"We are in the Democratic country where the majority of the people shall decide what to do. Also, we have food to eat and a safe place we can sleep while we're waiting for the rescue team of the government." someone added.

"Yeah. Instead of escaping why don't we let that guy join and protect all of us, he is definitely strong considering that he is equipped with weapons." a haughty young woman suddenly suggested.
Most of the them are nodding and satisfied with this excellent plan that they created seemingly thinking that it's a flawless and foolproof plan.
'This bastards only thinks about themselves. They are too selfish and narrow minded that they couldn't see the situation they currently in.' Richard was getting infuriated while watching this scene.
"Have you considered him refusing our request, Audrey?" Richard asked the haughty young woman that suggested that idea.
"T-That's his responsibility to protect the weak, especially that we have a lot of woman up here." Audrey bit her lip as she said hesitantly.
"Yes! That was correct protecting the weak is given to the strong people while considering that woman was weak to begin with, he need to prioritize us." another young woman agrees with Audrey.
*Chatter* *Chatter*
The majority of the people listening to them agrees on what they are talking about while only few smart people think otherwise.
"These ignorant people don't know anything at all. If the situation is that easy as they said it to be the government would probably resolve this completely, but it seems that they are also occupied with bigger sh*t than this. This may change the world because of what is happening."
Richard walks away from the students that excitedly discussing their plan as he look at the silent and lifeless school grounds that now occupied by zombies.
When he was thinking deeper he didn't notice a person approaching him with a smile hang in his face.
"Hey Richard. What are you thinking~?"
When Matt approached him, he also looked down while observing the dense zombies below.
"Oh.. I was just looking at the zombies below." Richard replied at him in a dull tone.
"Why, is there anything interesting out there?" Matt asked him while blankly looking at the zombies running around the campus field.
"Why are you here? You are also trying to convince me to stay here? Your efforts will be all for naught." Richard said in unfriendly tone that let other people end their conversation at him.
"No. I just agree with your suggestion earlier about leaving in the school ground there is something felt odd about all this situation that was happening right now." Matt said in a solemn tone without any hint of playfulness from earlier.
"While we are leaving, we need to inform the rest about it or else I will feel bad about abandoning them." Richard was stunned by what he said as he reply to him with a concerned tone.
"When you inform these people it's okay to let them join us, but if they decided to refuse.." Matt spoke in a cold tone at the end of his sentence.
"You can choose what you want to do!"
Before he returned to his usual cheerful expression as he smile brightly while leaving behind Richard that was shocked by his tone earlier.
When he heard what he said Richard interprets something more about it, 'We will abandon them and let them die here.'
"He is so cold and decisive at the same time. I need to be on guard every time I interact with this person." Richard thought aa he warily looked at Matt departing back.

"I could convince some of them that doubt the decision of the majority, but it's up to them if they can overcome their fear of zombies otherwise it's tough to convince them." Richard decided to forget what he saw just now as he tried focusing on different things.
While Matt walked towards the corner of the rooftop, where a beautiful young woman with long black hair that cascading down her shoulder as her black eyes that gleaming with briliance looking at the bright moon in the sky while silently sitting alone in the corner.
"What a beautiful moon, isn't that right Ms. Allison?" Matt exclaimed before seating beside the beautiful young woman while looking at her beautiful face.
"Hm." Allison nodded as she stands up when seeing Matt sit beside her and leave.
"You hate me that much?" Matt looked at her back before he kept quiet and eventually looked somewhere else.
...
When the night silently passed there is no accident that happens to the students that survive this crisis while they soundly asleep for the night to forget all of the things they saw and encounter today.
While in the next morning, the wind that was blowing early in the morning is freezing cold, but as people have their own jacket it's acceptable.
As he slowly woke up from his sleep, he suddenly got dizzy when he stood up and was about to looking around the room, then he realizes that he close all the doors and window in this room while forgetting about the ventilation that needed in this cramp space as he could have died of suffocation.
He hurriedly pulls the box that blocking the door while making a gap in the door.
"I didn't die because of zombies, but instead I'll die by suffocation are you kidding me?" Ziv gasps for some air while feeling the refreshing air that could be felt outside.
Even though that accident happened, it didn't stop his brain and body to relax from the accumulated stress that he got from this sudden situation.
After having a simple warm up, he decided to eat his remaining food while upgrades his equipment later.
As he was checking his bag, the Blood Crystal that he got from the zombies became an Energy Crystal and the Blood Bath that happened yesterday is already over.
[Low Energy Crystal (Tier 0 Energy Type)]
[A natural energy that stores a small amount of expendable energy that can be used once or upgrade Energy Slots.]
"How can I absorb this thing? Do I need to eat it or just like the Blood Crystal hold it in my hands?"
After trying multiple methods like opening his status while pointing the crystal at the screen before observing if something reacts, hold it in his hand and finally, when he was about to give up and eat the crystal he tries to press it on the different part of his chest.

"Why is this so complicated to used?" Ziv was getting frustrated when he discover how the Crystal works.
"Huu.. There is seems to be changes in my Status and my body that wasn't visible in naked eye."
"Collecting those Crystal is probably beneficial considering that it was needed in this Status Interface. Let's proceed on the next one before that phone alarm goes off."
"By patching up my bag to make it sturdy, adjusting the grip for my spear, a protective arm guard and a hook is all I need for now." Ziv organize the material for this equipment he needed that will help him escape later.
He starts upgrading his equipment in the morning and finished all he needed before it became noon.
"I thought I wasn't going to make it in time, but with these things I'm probably ready by now." Ziv was satisfied when looking at the items that he created.
"By using my Synthesize Ability it makes it far more efficient than doing it manually. There is also that Energy bar that wasn't displayed before."
[Crude Backpack a byproduct made by someone who doesn't know what he was supposed to do and made it looks like a burlap sack.]
[Javelin a spear made out of steel that slightly 'modified'. It has a good handle.]
[Energy: 40/100]
"That should be good for now. As for these pairs of arm guard that I found in one of the rack it will become handy for sure. While considering all of that I got lucky that I find that 'thing' here."
While he was keeping all the items he needed for this escape the timer on the phone outside is nearing.
"If what I did yesterday is Normal Mode this supposed to be Nightmare Difficulty right now." Ziv nervously thinking about this plan of his while memorizing the plan he made earlier.
After relaxing his stiff and tense body, he immediately went outside when there is a few zombies around the area while pushing himself through the gap of the door to avoid making noises as he crouched down as soon as he gets out.
He stays prone on the nearby trees that extends across the opposite building from storage room to West Wing.
The plan was supposedly patiently wait for a few minutes here before the alarm on the phone or the 'thing' make some noise then he will quietly crawl away towards that building.
But, what happened didn't go according to his plan instead the phone didn't make any noises and stay silent even though it passed a few minutes.
"The alarm should already go off any time soon, right?"
"Is it because of the cold? I should know that's the case when I throw it yesterday. Thankfully, I made a plan B for this thing." Ziv sighed in pity as he expectantly moves his sight towards the storage room.
"EXPLOSION!!!"
*Boooooom!!*

8 93Neophyte: Common Route
A story about self-discovery, interpersonal relationships, magic and magical creatures-- and a silent war. Marsha is about seven years past adulthood and still feels like a scared child in her parents' home. This is exacerbated when she discovers her father has apparently keyed up his destructive, sadistic habits-- leading to a mad dash out of the house with precious cargo in tow and only one idea where to go. This begins her journey, leading to a discovery that will change her life forever. And she never wants to go back. (Warnings: Lots of descriptions of abusive, sadistic and otherwise traumatizing and triggering behavior that a parent perpetuated toward a child or multiple children. Descriptions of violence, a main character with emotional issues that will be dealt with, and a whole lot of the 'aftermath' of battles in a war. Even a few descriptions of some of those battles. Things of that nature. If you can't handle one of those, please do not read.) {I had this idea to write a 'common route' and then 'romance routes' like they do in otomes? Book 1 is the common route, and then at book 2, you choose your love interest. Each of which is encased in their own book.}
