“Natalia, you know why we need to be here,” Camelia scowled.

“I know Mother, but why we have represented this school,” said Natalia grabbing her mother’s arm, “There far better schools.”

The etiquette teacher snatches her arm away from her daughter’s hands.

“Natalia, this is not how lady’s act,” Camelia snaps. Natalia quickly fixes herself and pulls down her blue skirt.

She focuses her attention back to Roxanne and only on Roxanne. She walks closer to Roxanne hoping to frighten her, but Roxanne looks at her in the eyes. Not backing down.

“You remind me of someone,” Camelia said narrowing her eyes at Roxanne, “What is your name.”

Roxanne stares at her and says, “Roxanne … just Roxanne would be fine.”

“Roxanne,” Camelia pause, “No last name.”

“Nope,” Roxanne stretch her ‘p’ to annoy the teacher, “Both of my parents died when I was a babe. I never met them and never heard of them. The story of my life.”

The etiquette teacher backway from Roxanne. She walked off with every click to her step. Natalia looks at Roxanne with distaste and follows her mother’s lead.

Roxanne sigh and looks up at Arawn. His excited nature claims down a bit, but it is still visible there.

“I can’t believe we meet one of the royalties of the entire world,” he said putting his hands together and almost jump up and down.

Roxanne tilts her body and gave him a look like he was crazy.

“Just because they act like royalty does not mean they are one,” Roxanne explained, “And besides we have to be in their good side anyway, so no wild fanning them. Otherwise, they throw us to the dogs.”

“So what happens next once we go farther,” Arawn said looking at Roxanne with worried eyes.

Roxanne shakes her head.

“I don’t know, but if we play the cards right. We will be fine… hopefully.”

They both look down the hall and hear shouts growing louder. They glance at each other and walk towards the noise. For a moment Roxanne stops to get a closer look at the hall as it was different than Westwood.

The hall is very different from the entrance. It was like outside dark and beautifully curved with unique symbols. Roxanne does not understand the concept of the symbols on the walls, but she knows they mean something to the castle. The walls also have dark brown bricks, but different what humans use in their homes. It was like it was stuck together with nothing holding it tight. Roxanne puts her hands on the bricks. She feels no gaps. Just a solid hard wall. The wall was decorated with plants and candles on each wall side and angle.

Above them, the ceiling is like a distant road with no directions. The space is empty with space fill with dim lighting from floating candles. The color of the lights seems to put the hall in a darker setting. Makes it look gloom, but a beautiful piece of the castle. It showed small bridges that look like it goes to different directions, however, there is no staircase on sight. Roxanne does not know if the bridges are no longer in use or the staircases are hidden within the walls.

When Roxanne looks down on the floor. It is light in color which matches the walls. The floor has a unique style that brings most of the hall’s interior. Its color is blueish closer to black. This color makes it closer to the night sky. It looks like it is the primary color thought out the school.

Roxanne stops studying the halls and moves along with Arawn by her side.

As they get closer to the sounds. The color of the hall changes and staircases are revealed. There are three staircases. One in the middle, one on the left, and one on the right.

“Which one,” asked Arawn.

Roxanne took her chances and chose the one on the left. Arawn followed her towards the staircase. In each of their steps, the stairs creeks loudly. The stairs are not created with wood rather than it was created by magic. Strong magic.

“I can feel it,” Roxanne whispers feeling the magic around her. To Roxanne's knowledge, Dulore has many mysteries that no one knows about. It was said that Princess Elizbeth created Dulore by her own magic and creation, but there are no documents that prove that this was true or if Elizbeth is a true person.

“You can feel what,” Arawn said behind her not feeling the magic from the staircase.

“This staircase and maybe the whole academy are made with old magic,” Roxanne pause, “Or maybe ancient magic that nobody … not even the king himself use.”

Arawn fully understands what Roxanne getting at.

“If nobody knows that this is not magically built and can be controlled by a magic-user then if something bad happens-,”

“They would put the blame on me,” Roxanne interrupts, “Someone is planning something.”

They come to an understanding that they have to be more careful about how they use their powers even if it is limited. People can easily put a blame on someone when they don’t fully understand the concept.

Both of them reach to the top to the stairs. The shouts to died down but still can be heard from their position. While the halls still the same as downstairs. The difference is a massive door in the right hallway.

Roxanne felt her heartbeats fast. Arawn put a hand on her arm. It is not known if it was to calm her down or to calm him, but it seems to work for both of them. They walk down the hall feeling the pressure on them on what’s going to happen to them if they went in. What going to happen to them once they see them. It’ s not like that if Roxanne has never been around different species before, but it seems to be different if they are strangers who learn to hate magic-user and their whole existence.

As they got closer to the door. They feel small. They feel like they can’t move, but this is it. They can make it or break it. At the same time, they open the door reveals a large group of teens argue with each other. Both of them see a lot of different species in Dulore. Obviously there the humans who are mostly hunters, but also the Immugus has a variety of species. It goes to Ancient Vampires to Cold blood Vampires. Demons, who are most likely children of the Succubus and Incubus, and Werewolves and Shapeshifters, who share the same heritage.

“It seems that we are not the only halflings in here,” Arawn said pointing at the Elves and Fairies, “But it looks the mermaids is the only one that did not come.”

Roxanne can understand that. Mermaids keep to themselves and never interact with society.

Roxanne takes a minute to appreciate the dining hall appearance. It is different from Westwood and it keeps its theme of being gloom, but the size is massive. Multiple round tables are enough for all students. It can fit around thirteen to twenty people. Like the ceiling, candles are floating indicating there is magic. The walls look like there were plants planted inside. The roots bring more an organic look to the dining hall. It gave it more a lively look.

Somehow this makes Roxanne happy. She can’t explain why she feels this way, but it is the way how she feels.

Soon enough people died down their argument and it was quiet. They were looking at Roxanne and Arawn in disgust and hated.

“Oh boy,” Arawn whispers.

Roxanne and Arawn walk slowly into the dining room. People move away like they were the plague. The werewolves snared and the Vampires look at them like they were a meal. The Elves and Fairies ignore them which Roxanne can’t blame them.

Once they got to the center of the dining hall. They feel stares as they wait what comes next.

“Well, I never saw a day a witch and a necromancer in the same place,” said a boy with short dark blond hair. When he got closer, his light gray eyes filled with hatred and points his finger towards Roxanne. “A witch like you in this kind of place would kill you easily.” He laughs and people behind laughs with him.

Roxanne shrugs her shoulders and said, “Well an Ancient Vampire like you would get you head cut off on a silver plate.”

Arawn grabs her arms again, but this time it was harder.

“Roxanne, what are you doing,” he whispers. But Roxanne ignores him and focuses on the blond teen.

The teen quickly walks up to Roxanne until there is little to no space between.

“Who do you think you are,” he growled.

Roxanne repeats, “Who do you think you are.”

“I am Nicholas Michelekos. One of the sons of the head Ancient Vampire Michelekos,” he said proudly but angrily, “And you little miss nobody should not disrespect me.”

Roxanne reply, “Why should I respect you if you do not consider me as one of your own people.”

He was angrier than before. Arawn holds Roxanne's arms tight, but she stood her ground. Soon and later they would understand why they should not mess with a mage even if they do not know it yet.
