Chapter 2
"Get back here you brat!" A young woman yelled while chasing after a teenage girl. The woman had tanned skin with golden hair while the teenage girl had lighter skin with silver hair but they shared facial features. More importantly, they both had feathers growing within their hair showing their lineage as being part of the avian fiend race.
"Big sis Rhui no need to get violent!" The teen girl laughed mischievously.
"Little brat Yuha I'll show you the punishment for ruining your big sister’s date!" Rhui snarled as she accelerated. Seeing her big sister enraged Yuha also accelerated and began to flee atop the rooftops of the city. The citizens of the city simply laughed as this was a common sight. Many of the citizens shared avian traits such as feathers avian eyes or clawed hands as this city was ruled by the avian fiend race and the two girls are their energetic princesses.
"Sister he was not right for you! He was just trying to use you to climb the social latter!" Yuha shouted trying to reason with her sister.
"That's my business! This is the third date you have ruined! This time I'm putting you in your place!" Rhui yelled as she closed the gap.
"I was doing it for you! I can't let big sis be taken away by some gross guy!" Yuha retorted as she desperately attempted to flee.
"You have always been too mischievous, it is time to grow up! I'm going to take you to our parents and ask for them to punish you!' Rhui snarled as a pair of gold translucent wing spread out from her back increasing her speed.
"You think you're the only one who can do that!" Yuha said as a pair of silvery wings appeared from her back. Seeing the wings Rhui was shocked. How could she already have awakened this bloodline ability? She was only nineteen! She was still a child and years away from becoming an adult! If only she put her talent towards training instead of being a massive headache. Seeing Yuha being able to maintain her distance filled Rhui with annoyance.

"You think you can get away just because of this little trick?" Rhui said with a smirk as fiendish energy spread out. As the energy encompassed Yuha her speed plummeted allowing Rhui to catch up nearly instantly. Rhui grabbed Yuha by the collar and hoisted her up off the ground. "Finally caught you! Now to haul in front of mother and father," Rhui said with satisfaction.
"Nooo! Please don't you're the best sister in the world! You wouldn't condemn your precious little sister for a tiny prank would you?" Yuha pleaded. Big sis will cave and let me off the hook as long as I beg a bit, she always does, Yuha thought to herself.
"Not this time. You have taken it to far and stretched my patience to its limits," Rhui said in a deadpan tone. Hearing the tone made Yuha shiver as each time her sister had used that tone horrible things were bound to follow. Yuha's eyes began to fill with tears as she looked at her sister with a pleading look. Rhui simply glared at the pitiful Yuha as she dragged her younger sister back to the palace.
"Waah big sisters so mean! It was only a little oil! I'll leave you alone and won't bother you anymore! Please don't take me to mom and dad they will ground me and force me to study!" Yuha began to cry crocodile tears.
"Good, maybe if they force you to study you will finally learn some discipline," Rhui said as she entered the palace while dragging Yuha behind her. Seeing their younger princess being pulled around like a wanted criminal the palace staff snickered not even attempting to hide it. Rhui quickly dragged the struggling Yuha into the central throne room.
The throne room was vast and opulent. It was filled with portraits of grand and fierce-looking avians. The two sisters swiftly approached the thrones at the end of the hall. Seated on the thrones was a man and a woman. The woman had an imposing aura with her obsidian skin and blazing golden hair. The man had a silver skin and pitch-black hair. Before Rhui could speak Yuha had already started pleading.

"Mom, Dad sister is bullying me! She's trying to frame and slander me because she can't keep a boyfri.." Yuha started saying before having her mouth covered by Rhui.
"Mother, father don't listen to this little brat. She has been sabotaging all of my relationships and I have had enough! I think she needs to go on a training trip with uncle to train her discipline," Rhui said while containing the struggling Yuha. The man and woman on the throne looked at each other and smiled.
"No, I don't want to go with uncle! He's mean and bullies me! I'm sorry I'll be good from now on! I'll study properly and won’t bother others!" Yuha began to beg and plead. Hearing this Rhui sneered.
"How many times have you said the same thing and gone back on your words! Mother, father I beg of you don't listen to her lies," Rhui said while glaring at Yuha.
Seeing their children bicker the couple could only laugh. The woman spoke her voice soft and melodious. " Come now you two is that any way for sisters to behave?"
"Yeah, Ruhi you should treat me better! I'm just trying to keep all the bad shallow men away!" Yuha said proudly.
This brat
How shameless
Sigh…
With three glares aimed at her Yuha wilted slightly.
"Maybe it time that you go and learn some manners from your uncle," their father spoke with a deep rumbling voice.
"B-but uncle is so mean and cruel," Yuha said with a slight tremble.
"Little girl I'm hurt," a tall pale man walked out from behind the thrones. He was clad in form-fitting armor that resembled feathers. "I trained your elder sister and she turned out just fine,"
"She still wakes up in the middle of the night shivering because of you," Yuha retorted while backing away from the man.
"Brat how do you know that!" Rhui yelled embarrassed.
Before they could continue their bickering they all fell silent. Yuha felt a sense of danger and every fiber of her being was screaming, not in fear but nearly uncontrollable rage. As the feeling washed over them a loud boom sounded out shaking the entire palace. Following the explosion was an ear-piercing screech. The four of them rushed outside to see what was causing such a commotion.
In the sky was a massive claw that seemed to be trying to pry the sky open. A black crack appeared as the hideous claw slowly opened a hole in the sky. Seeing the terrifying scene Yuha's father became grim. "Activate the protection array and prepare for battle!" He commanded his voice spreading across the city. As his voice faded countless colorful feathers covered the city in a dome. As the shield formed of feathers appeared the hole in the sky was completely opened.
