《SYNCH : the contract formation》Chapter 24

Celine and Tom looked at their son with intensity - how was this possible - how can he feel source.
The case of super human with a large amount of Qi able to compete with super humans such as summoner and psychic was not non-existent, but even those super-humans could not feel the flow of source without having to go through years of training. The evolved tank for the most part used source without feeling it, they knew it was there and managed to handle it but only a few were able to feel it. Feeling the flow of source was almost the same as feeling your own blood flowing, for most people it was inconceivable.
At that moment Chris entered the dining room, all excited and giggling in every direction.
"Dad, Mom look I can make it fly" by pointing at the ball that was rolling in the garden.
Later that evening, Tom joined Anck, who had gone to bed. He entered his room and sat on the desk in front of his bed.
"Anck, your mother and I have been talking about your situation and both think that the best thing for the moment would be to inform as few people as possible."
"From tomorrow you and I will go to the practice center outside the city so you can learn the basics of control, and in three weeks we will redo your identification test"
"In three weeks? why wait so long?" Said Anck.
"I made an appointment with a friend who specializes in the study of source at the capital and he agreed to supervise your identification test" all of a sudden Tom took a much more serious and dramatic tone.
"Anck, do not let anyone find out about the fact that you can feel source, do you understand what I'm saying?"

No reaction came from Anck following his question, so Tom added.
"It's about your safety, and also your brother's, for now on this information must be kept secret."
After a few seconds of hesitation Anck answered.
"Ok, I ... understand"
The next day, at 7 a.m. Anck and Tom set off for the practice center. Each city had several practice centers, some public, run by the government to allow the less well-off to develop their powers, others private, generally reserved to the upper classes.
The requirements to be accepted in private centers were often very complex, not to mention the exorbitant price they charged to their members, despite that, the waiting list to become a member of a private center was on average six months.
Forty-five minutes later, they arrived at the private practice center outside of Sindara. A 20 storey tower stood in front of them. The excitement was mounting, for Anck it was his first time to step foot in a practice center.
Because it was illegal for young people to use their powers in public before completing the practical training, to avoid as many accidents as possible, each parents were required to train their children to the basic of power control in practice centers.
Most children as young as seven had to start their training in centers, some with teachers, others individually or with their family member.
Chris, who turned eight this year, had already been going to the practice center with their mother for three years. And Henry, on the other hand, had begun even earlier, at the age of three and a half.

The year is 2044, as you might imagine technology has advanced. People are people. And the world economy is still in shambles. America experienced a full financial collapse about a decade before. Riots, rebalance, and redistribution. David was 13 when the protest massacre occurred when his mother died. Of course, the world does not rotate around a teenager. Four years of business college and two good friends and a dream of developing real power armor just to cosplay as a space marine. Of course when you got millions and no real drive for anything else after two divorces. You make it happen. All David had to look forward to was his five minutes of fame as an extra to the next Halo game presentation. They expected him to wear cheap cosplay. Instead, he brought about a million dollars of gear with him. All David expected was five minutes of fame before he turns into a bachelor shut-in for the rest of his life. Instead, the Universe got an update. Witness the rise of the Order of the Free Wardens. Witness the rise of the council of races. Witness the legend of the Dreadnaught. Greetings, I am Zalex. And this is my first ‘Space Marine’ story, Some things I would like to note. All locations, weapons, unit designations, mention of franchises (under the protection of fair use laws), history, and so on is fictitious or used as reference only. Any likeness to real individuals or events or otherwise is merely coincidental. This novel has excessive language use, mild graphic and suggestive themes, mild alcohol use, and scenes of violence. 8 202The Many Blades of Wuxia
Hundreds of years after the Heretic wars ended, life has returned to its blissful ignorant state that only peace could bring. Whilst the never-ending war between Man, Beast and Mutant rages on, most are not even aware of a war that happened between men. Its prophecies shattered, their remnants surviving only in obscure bard tales. One is about to grow. On the cracked face of the world, Essence storms and Beast Waves keep the citizenry locked atop the Emperor city of Qaelang. Knowledge of the past is as rare as the metals that flow into the hands of Sacred Artists and at the root of it all are whispers of a malignant force, ancient and terrible. Holding humanity back from achieving greatness, but hiding too are secrets best left untouched. Balance, discipline and order have held Qaelang secure since time immemorial, the powers within claiming to adhere to them. None are more fearful of change than the ones with the most to lose, but change is coming. Blade of Wuxia is a long character-focused epic fantasy with progression and growth. It's about a boy's quest to become powerful enough to save those he cares most for and give them a better life. It's set in a world of hidden pasts and uncovering them will set him on a path that shakes the Empire. As this is a rewrite that took on a wildly different spin, reviews are most welcome and help me do better. What can the reader expect? A Wuxia society set in a High fantasy world. People are only doing what they know and may have mistaken beliefs. A clever resourceful protagonist with human flaws A far-reaching hidden fantasy world, rich in history. Multiple points of view are used to follow the story to its natural conclusions, not every NPC has all the answers, but there is one MC in this book. Progression will take time and sometimes even unknowingly. MC is not trained in the ways and knowledge must be tempered against experimentation. Release Schedule. 2 chapters a week, family and work permitting. Only if I'm happy with the chapter will I release it. That being said I am open to revision should an articulated critical response show merit. This story is not completed yet but I do have a general idea of what the end looks like for both MC's (yes both) Ultimately feedback will be most influential on the progression of release as it's you guys I'm looking to entertain. Expected Changes None really, I'm writing as I go and have a path planned for 6 books Chapter release rate might change if we take off and feedback starts flowing, but for now, it is just about making sure Arcs flow smoothly onto the next. Cover, yes absolutely! If there is enough interest I will open a Patreon account and use the first proceeds to commission an EPIC cover and hopefully a few scary artworks of our brave Cultivators and the foes they face.
