《Elementals》Elementals Guide : The Prominent Provinces of Terra
Advertisement
Welcome, all to the final part of this informative series! This time we are going to record the defining features of every location in Terra from the order of the lovely title. In the end, I will finally be giving my best-written illustration of the world of Terra with a bonus scene that will lead it to some of the next story arcs. Let's not waste any more time and get right into it!
Forbidden Realm
Before we talk about Terra, we must first talk about the Forbidden Realm. From both the stories and research, we now know that unlike the current Terra, the Realm has some form of sentience. From this sentience, during his fight with Terra, he created near countless armies of unique ever-evolving monsters beyond our current understanding. The only way to access the realm is to use the scroll that was in Lord Granius' possession before being passed to the elementals. The general populace doesn't even know how the scroll works since it's under strict watch. It takes all the Elementals to pass on, sending someone to the Forbidden Realm, and even then, it takes a while.
Alihan has described the realm as a formless entity of fast-moving terrain that is designed for pain. The air is toxic and can turn from cold to seething air instantly. Everything in the said realm is unable to die by any means, which makes it a hell beyond hells. It's highly implied that beings like Alihain were able to adapt while other criminals were completely driven mad. During the escape of the Forbidden Realm, we know a large amount of power caused certain individuals near the portal to disappear and become husk-like souls. These souls can phase through other objects and possess both them and people for their own needs, enhancing their overall power while absorbing them to become stronger if the host doesn't fight back.
Currently, the portal from the realm was closed after a day, and the escape has made the prisoners of the Realm be transported all across Terra in separate factions. The god of the realm is inactive as of now.
Fire Province
Located in the southern part of a large eastern island-like region in the middle of the equator, the Fire province has proven to be the best of the best when it comes to a vacation. Because of its volcanic-like environment, most of the income of the Fire Province is through tourism. This tropical environment also creates crowded jungle-like environments with deep caves, pure white beaches, and a wild mountainous region with numerous steam-based technologies. Every major city is swamped with performers, cooks, tour guides, resorts, and specialists looking for a quick buck. Though if that isn't to your liking, there are a couple of surrounding uninhabitable islands that provide for rare ores and fruits that can turn for a profit.
With this issue in mind, the Fire province has a mix of monsters. For every minor avian and reptile monster, there are also powerful creatures like Magma worms and a dragon that gives any specialist worth their salt some trouble. Some of these monsters have packed into several of these small islands with much of the province using them as special raid like events. Overall the politics in the Fire Province is highly democratic, with most of the province being very politically active. Despite the emphasis on commercialism, the Fire Province also tries its best to have many social events. They have a carpe diem like philosophy that leads to many of the people being very outspoken and honest. These aspects would later influence the belief Liberteas.

Water Province
Going over to the other side of Terra to the western regions, we see the Water Province. Unlike most of the provinces, the Water Province is speckled with island regions that scattered all across the western hemisphere of Terra. This gives the Water Province the most ethnically diverse province in all of Terra. Befitting the nature of the province, the seafaring economy of the province can not be surpassed. Unfortunately, this region has some of the most powerful monsters in all of Terra, so much so that they have been the stuff of nightmares for centuries. By this, the naval technology of the province is incredibly advanced.
The seemingly scattered nature of the province means that various pirates and criminals have plagued the province for many years. To make a buck, the more significant cities have turned to use hydroelectricity and fishing to use many of the same tourist traps as the Fire province. Befitting the diverse nature of the province, the one running theme is the importance of nature. Most of the province believes in PolyElementa and practices it in various ceremonies. Overall they have an incredible amount of councils to make sure that Mar can speak through them.
Earth Province
Without a doubt, the biggest province in Terra is the Earth Province. Much like Terra herself, the geography of the province is incredibly varied. Across the province, we've seen canyons, mountains, plains, deserts, cliffs, and plateaus. With this all said, the natural resources of the province are truly unmatched, creating a highly industrial and urbanized province. Because of Lord Granius, the nation has a large history of imperialism and, as such, makes a lot of history of famous war veterans and specialists.
This focus on specialists makes most of the political officials in the province specialists related. It also gives the Earth Province the most militaristic power as unlike Water; they are less scattered. Because of the many sub-elements of earth, though, there is an increase in culture tradition and recreation, with the province having many museums and art galleries.
Nature Province
Located in the northern part of the large island region, the Nature Province is easily one of the most important provinces in the entire world. This is primarily due to the appearance of the mysterious tree Yggdrasil. Much like the Forbidden Realm, Yggdrasil has some sense of sentience but is far more benign as Vicioso states that it used his power more defensively while calling upon certain monsters. Because of how powerful the Tree is, it's very presence grants the entire province an overabundance of exceptionally healthy plants, food, and medicinal herbs. Not only does this make the province have exceptional cuisine and the best hospitals in the world. However, this is a bit of a problem as certain sentient plant monsters that were transferred outside of Yggdrasil's benign presence became dangerous. Another huge problem with the tree is that through its massive roots in terms of urbanization and overall technology, this is one of the weakest provinces in terms of tech.
Through the peaceful nature of the province, it probably has the most peaceful relations with monsters. It's so, well established that it's been home to many monsters in the past with a union unmatched. Poly Elementa is also a huge religion there as they view Yggdrasil as a god who leads the province to a theocracy that is currently held by Dimitri. Overall it's a very comfy and peaceful place in Terra.
Mystic Province
The most secluded province in all of Terra in the southeast, the Mystic Province, is both feared and respected by the entire world, which is fitting given the origins of the Mystic element. While the Elementals era has done much to push back this fact, it is still apparent that in terms of immigration, this is one of the smallest provinces. Despite all this, there is a reason why Mystic's isolationist policies were able to last against even the Granuis Regime. Because the province has the greatest technology and science of the entire world, Many have even theorized that the limited technology that the mystic province has shared with the world is a decade ahead of everybody else's while also being a decade old by the province's standards. The amount of theories based on the province is impressive as some even state there is a secret special op in the province.

This all combined with their effort on Libertas makes it, so the province is one big science experiment waiting to happen, making a lot of the foreign policy being handled by top scientists and specialists. They want to push the limits of the element to the outside world. It is the most urbanized province in Terra, filled with bustling metropolis and transportation systems that make the province highly efficient and self-sufficient. Not only can they use the element to produce certain materials that they would need, but the usage of the summoning contract as a form of teleportation being a great usage of allocating resources, however outside of all that the province mostly has a pleasant climate with warm, dry summers and cool, mild winters. It is run by a largely timocratic government due to the various monopolies of the province.
Wind Province
For those of you wanting to seek the life of an idol, then the Wind province is where it's at. Much like the ever-changing air itself, the province is filled with the fast-moving trends of the entertainment industry. On top of many mountains, hills, valleys, and gorgeous, the province has some of the cleaner energy sources as the various and frequent whirlwinds of the area provide the turbines with a great workout. The storms are so powerful that there is a small region in the province called the Satellite, floating islands that are far above most cities. It is cold and serves no immediate purpose, but it is a gorgeous tourist site.
The reason for the Wind province's love of theatre is mainly due to the unique situation. Because of the element's relationship with sound, it was only natural that it would soon create ideal sound systems with theaters and plays. With sound quality, unlike any other, the province has many movie theaters and stadiums that can grant any aspiring idol, writer, museum a chance to improve and become even greater. Beyond that, it is a democratic nation in which Caliber reigns supreme.
Light Province
Given Deon's "sparkling" introduction, we already have a good idea of what the Light Province is like. Located in the northwestern province of Terra, the light province is one of the richest provinces in the world, as it was built on a variety of rich materials deep within the earth. This, unfortunately, created a clear social and monetary hierarchy that created an aristocracy that is both loved and hated by the rest of the world. This is primarily because of the increase of the Purism religion caused by the ascendance of Trix's element. This thought is ingrained in their culture, which can make the oldest members of the aristocratic incredibly xenophobic to other races. There are even some members of the aristocracy that have made "pure-blooded" relations to keep their purity intact.
Despite it all though, the light province resources can't be understated. They are the only province that can stand up to the Earth Province in terms of military might. It also has some of the best formal education in the entire world, with their colleges and schools being utterly next level. Climate wise the province usually has long sunny days with little overall rain and soothing wind. Besides the Mystic Province, it is the most urbanized province with only a few natural plains to its name.
Galaxy Province
Taking the literal top and bottom spot of Terra lies the Galaxy province. Naturally, because of this, you might want to make your clothes bulky as largely the province is filled to the brim with inhospitable tundra. Despite this, the poles of terra have made 2 of the biggest cities in all of Terra. It is also should be known that both Norden and Süden (north and south in German) are the main cities responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Mass communication Hub (or MCH for short), which connects to servers all over the world to give free wifi and clean communication to all parties. The hub is controlled through 2 antennae that are maintained through both cities.
Outside of that, the province has many good attractions. Due to the nature of the Galaxy element, it has some of the best weapons around. The people of the province also have a philosophy of introspection, making it a hot spot for philosophers, and artists. It also has some of the most beautifully designed architecture in the world. The various intergalactic phenomena like comets and the starry night sky create some fantastic sights that can never be captured again.
Spirit Province
Trapped in the center of Terra lies the ever exuberant Spirit Province. Instantly because of the said center, the province is infamous for being a center of trade for all the other provinces. Matching this harmony with the world, the province has a relatively temperate climate with no incredibly harsh seasons or weather to speak of besides certain outliers. For better or worse, the province is very invested in its elements.
It is a beautiful background for breeding specialists with numerous dojos and schools being used to admit people. However, outside of that, the province also has some of the hypest sporting events in the world, with tournaments and games creating several riots across the land. However, this province isn't the safest to live as monster attacks can often be frequent, making the populace have poor relationships with monsters. Besides that, though, the people of the Spirit Province are very much positive and optimistic people who believe hard work is the answer to everything. Cosma rules the province with a group of district leaders from both cities.
Darkness Province
Finally, we have the smallest province in all of Terra: the Darkness Province. With the fear of Feral Eclipse and the fact that it's sandwiched in between both the Earth Province and Light Province, the amount of land and resources of the province is minor at best, which has lead to rather unorthodox methods to gaining more land. The area mostly has dense forests and small towns with usually moggy and miserable weather. It is also the precursor to the Phantom Pirates, one of the worst criminal organizations of all time.
Yet despite all this, it's made the Darkness element one of the most developed of the elements in a concise time given its ability. Despite many of the setbacks the region has, on average, it has some of the kindest people in the world since, due to the nature of the element, it forces people to band together and shares their pain while making them self sufficient. Finally, the province is one of the most mysterious as many omens and legends make it one of the more intriguing to explore. Right now, the province is run by Umbra with a directional system of elders to guide him.
Epilogue
I hope you all enjoyed the provinces of Terra. I will leave a photo of what I think Terra looks like down below. But right now, let's get into the all awaited bonus scene.

An Empire Divided
The Fey Danan Empire and the Kingdom of Loire, are considering an alliance. A chance meeting presents an opportunity, will you seize it?. Shadows move around the board, will they be brought to light, before nights settles in?.
8 111Shadow Emperor
This is one of my side projects. It is about a young innocent boy, who has some mishap happening at the date of his birth. Through circumstances he is forced to strenghten himself. His fate was decided long ago, and this story is just the journey to his fate. It is very xianxia/xuanhuan-esque, with some Western elements mixed in. It is a cultivation novel, and it will have gore, sexual depictions, but to an extent. Most of the time it is either fun or exciting, as you will see an innocent boy's rise to the Emperor of the Shadows..
8 92MAZE - The Endless Quest
As all kids do, Hera wanted to be an explorer. Sadly when she turned 18, she discovered that her stats and lack of skills made her fail the requirements to become one, and she went to work on a bookstore. That should have been the end of her story. But when she wins a lottery to have her level up, she discovers a hidden skill and a rare one at that. The system gave her dream back, and this time she is not letting it go. ############################## The story is about a world where game-like systems are the norm. Everyone has a level, status, and even skills are a common thing. If your stats are good, you can also become an explorer, someone that ventures inside a place called MAZE, a dungeon of sorts filled with monsters, creatures, and things that the natural world is missing, such as magic and demi-humans. The story follows Hera, a woman who wanted to be an explorer, but her status were too low to become one. One day she wins a raffle that allows her to level up for the first time giving her the chance to achieve her childhood dream. It's more about how things work and what you can do with them than about power or revenge. The rhythm might be a bit slow for some, but that is the idea. I want to give sort of a slice of life feeling to most of it.
