She shook her head, and it was not like this.
I used to sell herself to Mu Linxuan for money in order to pull through for Shen Family. Later, she married to Mu Linxuan, to become his wife.
It was natural that she got pregnant. It was not surrogacy.
How did her dad die from anger for this?
Suddenly, joys of Yu Youyou and gentleness of Mu Linxuan which was never expected by her showed in her mind.
Mu Linxuan married her because Yu Youyou did not return back then.
He looked forward to her baby because Yu Youyou expected to have a baby.
She had no encouragement to contradict then, leaving with only pale and powerless words, “Mom, please let me explain, it’s not like that…”
“Explain? Explain what? That woman named Yu said definitely. Stop explaining anymore!” Suddenly, Lin Zhiqiu held her arms and dragged her into the inpatient ward. She threw her daughter away at the bed, “Look! Your dad could not close his eyes at the hour of death! But he deserved so! He would not die if he did not adopt you besom regardless of my objection in that year.”
Shen Qingkong was pushed harshly, and fell down on the ground. Her elbow was damaged, but could not feel any pain.
She climbed up on the bed and took the arm of her father, shaking gently, “Dad, I’m coming. Just look at me. I know you are angry with me, and I know that you do not want me to marry Mu Linxuan. I follow your instructions. I’ll divorce with him. I’ll stay home and accompany with you for a whole life, ok?”
But her dad gave no reaction. He could hear nothing, just keeping his eyes opened.
Shen Qingkong cried loudly. She had no dad anymore!

Suddenly, the door of the inpatient ward was burst through, and a group of people broke in.
They were elders of Shen Qingkong. They were blood relations of her dad in the world. With indifferent expressions, they showed no sorrow at all.
Her second uncle said directly, “Elder brother is dead. It’s the time to divide up family properties.”
They could not wait dividing up family properties soon after Shen Qingkong’s dad died. They were crueler than enemies.
Lin Zhiqiu got dizzy. She forced herself to hold in there. “Your elder brother told me that Shen’s Company is the heart blood of ancestors of Shen Family, which cannot be dissolved. As his relatives, would you please comply with his wishes?”
“Please! Sister-in-law! Don’t be that innocent! Shen’s Company cannot be operated any more due to bad management. We’ll have more losses if it is not dissolved now.” The second uncle said with impatience. His opinion was always different from the conservative one of the elder brother. He did not bear since his elder brother was dead. He delivered the document he prepared to Lin Zhiqiu, “Sign on it. Give us a change to live.”
Lin Zhiqiu shook her head, and shed tears. “Second brother, the company is the only wish of your elder brother. I have to keep it for him.”
The second uncle showed impatience as long as he heard that, and said, “So you are forcing me to do so, sister-in-law! Come and persuade her if you do not want to be involved!”
All the other people rushed forward and forced Lin Zhiqiu to sign on the document. Lin Zhiqiu refused to do so. They were so impatient that forced her to take the pen and sign on the document, and press her fingerprint on it.
Anybody who blocked their road for gaining money was their enemy!

Book one now available on Kindle. The saying goes that when a man is born the Fates weave his destiny and swaddle him in it. Then one day the man dies, and the swaddle becomes a shroud. Heaven moves on. It is audacity to question the Fates. Olympus is Olympus. The land of men is the land of men. To transgress that, to cross the line of divinity and scale Olympus Mons? To defy the Fates and cast off their threads? That is hubris. It’s a mark that every philosopher bears plainly on their soul.
