《Human Hunter》Chapter Sixteen: Tensions Rise

His eyes awakened. With short quick breaths, he brought air into his lungs. Human Hunter layed within a pile of rubble. Rubble created by Faed when she was in her mindless, destructive state. Halt licked his face. His trusty wolf had climbed all the way down here to check on his master.
"Nngh..." Human Hunter groaned as he stood up. "Don't worry boy, I won't need to be patched up this time." He patted Halt's head, while looking around at the same time. "This canyon is larger than I thought, it's appearance is much wider when I'm at the bottom. Either way, I should be able to pinpoint the general direction of Phina's hide out due to a number of variables."
Halt sniffed his master. "Plus.." Human Hunter noticed his wolf's audible snuffling. "I've got your sense of smell if needed."
Far ahead in the canyon, nowhere near Human Hunter, Faed and Silva's chase continued. Bloodied, and injured, Silva held her arm as she kept up her insane speed. She had been damaged by the powerful traps. Luckily though her life hadn't ended yet since Faed unintentionally obliterated the projectile based traps whenever she passed them.
Then, just ahead, Silva spotted a large structure. A warehouse. It was clearly the place where Phina was conducting her human cloning. "Hmm.. not a bad looking place if I must admit. Too bad it'll have to be blown to bits pretty soon here. And I've got the perfect plan for how to do so.."
Looking back, Silva observed her pursuer. She was attempting to decipher an exact moment to maneuver out of the way, in order to send Faed charging into the warehouse itself.
"And.." she squinted, and straightened her cloud directly in front of the warehouse. "...now."
Leaping with grace, with her arms extended, Silva did a backflip over the crazed Faed. She manipulated her cloud to latch onto Faed's body, increasing her chances of success. The cloud she materializes is over 45,000 times stronger than steel.

It wasn't enough though. Faed erupted from the cloud even angrier, shattering it.
"LOCK'S DYING.. AND ITS BECAUSE OF YOU.. YOU BITCH.. I'D ADD YOUR HEART TO MY COLLECTION, BUT I THINK CRUSHING IT WOULD BE MORE FUN!! AFTER ALL, IT'S CLEARLY BARRON OF ANY LOVE AT ALL!!" She darted towards her target, resuming her aggressive pursuit.
Silva generated two energized whips from her coat sleeves. She flung them at Faed, and twisted each around her opponent's arms. "It'll be quite the treat seeing you try, darling!" she screamed, pulling her whips in order to torpedo her body against Faed. She extended her legs, slamming them into Faed's gut. This was a poor choice however, as Faed reversed this attack by grasping onto Silva's shins, spinning around, and flinging her into Phina's base at full strength.
The throw sent Silva rocketing through the air. She blasted into an invisible forcefield that surrounded the futuristic warehouse, and busted past it due to how hard Faed had hurled her. Once this had occurred, one final trap was set off. It was a trap that was to be used as a trump card in case anyone managed to somehow reach Phina's base, which is what had just occurred. Silva crashed through the warehouse and coincidentally landed directly in front of Phina. The trap set off on the outside, instead targeted Faed.
Human Hunter noticed a massive explosion from off in the distance. "Based on that, we seem to be going the right way, as expected." He said to Halt. "But by the time we get there, if things are that rough, Phina might already be dead.."
Boy was he wrong.
Elsewhere..
Alant's sword sparked against his opponent's red materialized rod of energy. He pushed his blade against it, but was moved. His feet which were firmly set upon the ground drifted back.
"You're a pretty tough dude." Alant praised who he was facing, "Normally I'd have a bit of fun with ya, but like I said, I'm kinda in a hurry right now. Time to go all out." The smile Alant was known for returned to his face, as he used his inane speed to nearly instantly appear behind the man he had been battling. He swung both blades in unison, only to fail at hitting his target. Instead he once again made contact with the red energy.

"I applaud your confidence." his opponent said. He was protected by a barrier of his red energy. "But with the ability I possess, 'Overflowe', I am able to manipulate and morph my red energy into anything my mind can think up. The possibilities are endless I'm afraid, which means your struggles are pointless." Transferring the energy to his left hand, the unknown warrior altered it into an eight foot long staff. He swung backwards, but Alant dodged. Alant was too quick to be hit by this person.. or so he thought.
The energy wielder slammed the staff into the ground, and spread his energy throughout the area. This in turn electrocuted Alant, and gave the energy wielder the opening he needed.
While Alant recovered, the stranger returned the red energy to his body. This time he used it to create a large hammer with a spike at its tip. The spike grew in length with each passing second, and the stranger, who was sprinting towards Alant, glared. He was determined to fulfill what he had been payed for.
The spike lightly poked the middle of Alant's forehead. Before it could kill him, Tigal was there. He bashed the energy user across the ground. The enemy almost slipped off the side of the canyon, but just barley held on by morphing his energy into a platform below him. "Already recovered I see.." he said, floating upwards while standing atop the platform he had created with Overflowe. "Which I'm assuming means this will now be a two versus one showdown. Hm. It's fine, I've been in worse situations."
"Get up Alant!" Tigal yelled, standing next to his comrade. "Human Hunter is attacking us! See.. I told you trusting him was a terrible idea!"
With the help of Tigal, Alant, who had fallen down following his extreme electrocution, recovered from his slightly injured state. "You've gotta be kidding me Tigal, that doesn't even remotely resemble Human Hunter.. not in the slightest!" He pressed his palm against his head. "He's literally the one who knocked Human Hunter off the side of the canyon Tigal c'mon!"
"Not the time to argue with me Alant, we need to take him out before Lock betrays us next."
"TIGAL YOU IDIO-.."
This conversation was cut short by the energy wielder. He had used Overflowe to alter his energy into exact replicas of Alant's sword, and Tigal's curved blade. Simultaneously swinging them towards both men, his attack was only non lethal because Tigal sacrificed his arm. Throwing it in front of his own face as well as Alant's at the last second. It was sliced to pieces by the two opposing weapons.
The energy wielder grabbed Alant, who was now in shock, by the head, and sent energy surging throughout his body. He kicked Alant across the floor. "Tch, maybe I was wrong. You both may be out of commission before you have the chance to double team me."
"B-Bastard.." is all Tigal could grunt to himself, as he clenched where his arm once was in seething pain.
"Hush now, you're not in a position to be making insults." The energy wielder contorted a gargantuan hand onto his own arm.
Tigal and Alant were up against a wall, things weren't looking good for them. The same could be said for Faed and Silva, each in dire situations of their own. With Lock in no condition to even move, let alone battle, the only member of Proel left who was at full strength was Human Hunter. While he headed towards Phina's hideout however, Tigal and Alant would be forced to either pull through this situation by themselves.. or face death.

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.
