《Dreams of the Aasimar Cleric》The Legion gets its Orders

A dream:
You look around and you are standing on the side of a hill, forests stretching out beyond the edges of this clearing. There are soldiers gathered here, a great number of them, hundreds upon hundreds into thousands, standing in rows and columns, just less than a dozen wide and the same long. Each group of these having one man standing in front of them with another standing next to him with a large pole in hand with a flag or banner on it. As you look around the different banners are similar in some respects and different in others. They are armored in the Imperial style, large tall shields and short swords mounted at the waist some with spears and some without. You seem to be placed in the center of this large formation. You can see to the left and right as well as forward and back through the gaps in the different blocks of soldiers. Up near the front there is a small group of men in a line facing up the hill.
Another line of men in similar armor but these with violet accents came out of the woods in front of them. In unison the man in front of each of the small groups shouted out and pulled a sword free from his side and pointed it forwards and toward the sky. Another command and every man did likewise. They held this pose of swords outstretched for several seconds before a lone figure appeared out of the woods behind the line of men with purple cloaks and garb. The men at the head of the formation all at one knelt and thrust their sword tips into the ground then placing both hands on the pommel of the sword as it stuck in the ground in front of them, one hand placed loosely on the other. Then every man there that had drawn their sword did likewise. The clatter of armor and equipment shifting as all of these soldiers moved in near perfect unison each turning their large shield on its side and leaning it against themselves as they too stuck their blades into the earth. The freeing the hand from the shields assumed the same positions as the ones in front of each formation. The only men left standing, inside the large formation, were the ones carrying the long poles with flags and each of them bowed low at the waist and let the pole and flag tilt forward as well.

The lone figure moved forward, she was dressed in a white dress bound together at the waist with a belt made of thicker white cloth, a sword hung on both hips and several golden necklaces lay over the front of the dress. She wore gold armbands and some bracelets as well all made of gold set with different kinds of gemstones. A large single ring made of gold on the first finger of her right hand. Her hair was long and tied toward the back, around her head she wore a wreath of small twigs and leaves made of gold rolled and hammered thin, that seemed to fit as if it was made just for her. As she moved forward toward the group the men that seemed to be her guard pulled out there swords and moved closer together forming two walls of large shields with a gap in the middle. The woman looks back and forth across the whole of the group as she descends the hill. As she moves closer you can see to the left and to the right of you certain individuals that are on there knees visibly shaking, their hands quivering stacked one on the other on their sword pommels. They are breathing quickly and are sweating profusly as well, not every man is showing these signs but a great number of them seem to be showing at least one of them.
She moved up till these walls of shields passed the first small group of men in the front, they then closed in and formed a single wall and you lose sight of her. It stays this way for what seems like a few minutes and you can see some of the men starting to settle around you while others seem to be becoming even more shaky. Then almost as smoothly as the shields had come together they split again and you can see the woman again she appears to walking back up the hill now. The ones that had appeared with her walking slowly backwards up the hill.

The small group of men only moving once the woman and her retinue were well out of sight. Almost as if a silent command was given each of the small group stand and sheath their swords. They turn to the group and one steps forward and shouts a command and all the others present all at once stand in unison and likewise sheathe there swords in the same exacting manner. The man then steps forward and addresses the men.
He shouts loudly with what seems like every ounce of strength his frame can muster.
“The Queen Regent has given the command. WE MARCH”
A great shout comes up from the all the men assembles all of them shouting as one.
As the shout dies down the man once again speaks, loudly but not quite so vigorously. “Centurions take charge of your men.”
With this command each of the men in front of each block turns to face the men in the block. They all begin shouting different commands and some of the blocks of men start to break up and move away.
