《Dreams of the Aasimar Cleric》Should have checked for traps

A dream:
You can see a stone hallway, it looks to be carved out of the rock itself, there are no seams or mortar in the stone, there are branches here and there and you can see a large opening up ahead, a torch sheds its flickering light over the dark grey stone. You can feel yourself moving forward as you pass the different intersection you can see more hallways proceeding out from the first with doors along the side hallways, as you continue on straight down the original path you can see where the hallway ends. You progress further forward and there is a railing in front of you where the hallway runs into a intersection and continues off to the left and to the right in what appears to be a long curved path, each side looks like it might curve back around to meet again further on. You hold the torch up over your head to see what fills the space in front of you. The light from the torch bounces off something in the distance something in the center of this opening. You continue on a short ways around the what you are sure now is a circle, as you continue you can see more and more paths that appear to radiate from here. Whatever is here in this opening is certainly the center of this place. From where you can stand at the railing and look over the edge you can see that there are a couple floors above you and a couple floors below you that also have a similar railing to this one and also look out over this interior opening.
You wonder just what might be there in the center, what was the focus of this area. You reach into your pack and after a few seconds of sorting through it you pull free another torch and light it off of the first. You wave it around for a second feeling its wight in your hand before lobbing it over the edge, it falls for 20-30 feet before clattering to a stop on a stone floor below. You can see that it has landed at the base of something and you can see the streams of flickering light casting large long shadows up the length of whatever it is that stands here in the center of the room. You in a similar fashion pull out another torch from your pack and light it and lay it on the stone floor next to you before retrieving another and another and also lighting them. One at a time you throw them over the edge towards the base of the object that take up a fair bit of space in the center of this expanse. You are careful to throw them not all together but as far as you can toss them in separate directions all towards the base of the object. Hoping to shed as much light as possible on this thing standing there. Number four and Number five go over and collectively you have most of the base of the object lit up now, some of them landing closer and some of them further from the object than maybe you had intended. You can now clearly make out what appears to be a set of large stone legs. It is a statue of some kind. Two armored feet leading up to legs covered in more armor, it looks like some kind of plate or panel armor. You have two more lit torches with you along with the first. You fumble for a second to hold them all at once and keep the flames as close as possible in an attempt to have them combine their light and hopefully show a bit more of the statue at the level you were standing. You hold them up and indeed you can see a bit of the figure. It is a rather squat looking figure with one arm raised over it's head, a large two bladed axe held held high into the cavernous space. The features of the carving are deep and stoic, the face seems almost expressionless, sharp features in the face set on a set of sturdy looking wide shoulders that are they themselves clad in the same kind of armor as you saw on the legs and feet. You cannot make out any of the fine details from there but it is clear that some portions of this statue were at some point painted or guilded with some kind of material as they are not the same grey stone as the rest of this place seems to be. The colors look faded or flaked off from here and with the little light you have it is hard to be sure. You try to move further around to get a better look at the face of the statue. As you do you hear a click under your foot and as you look around for the source a puff of smoke seems to shoot up around your feet. You cough for a moment. Something doesn't feel right. You need to get out of here. You quickly start finding the hall you used to get down here. You are moving as quick as you can but your limbs are getting heavy, not just tired heavy. A kind of panic sets in and you are trying to get out of here, you know you are far from where you entered this place, are you gonna make it out?

The Huntsman's Quest (An Urban Magic Quest/RPG)
Jon Whitaker went to summer camp expecting a nice relaxing time as a newly minted counselor in training. He was not expecting to fight an army of monsters, work with a serial killer, enter a one-sided friendship with an eldritch horror, or study under a competing witch and dark lord. But regardless of what he was expecting, his summer is over and he's made his way back home where he can try and return to a normal -for him- life. Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
