《Dreams of the Aasimar Cleric》Nestled in brilliant flame

A dream:
Flashes of black and white and black and white fill your vision, you are uncertain how long this continues.
You find yourself in a dark space, the only light is a fire burning in the distance. You can hear voices softly in the darkness you are not sure what they are saying. The air in here feels dry, hot, the smoke from the fire barely escaping the space. You can see the floor is cut stone, large cut tiles. The fire seems to be wood burning or perhaps charcoal. There is something over the fire or maybe resting in it. Large the size of a large pot, the surface covered in black soot. You move a bit closer and you can see that whatever it is is not suspended over the fire but instead rests directly apon it. You can see different material in amongst the red hot embers, coins maybe, of some make you have never seen you cannot see what they are made of as they now glow with the steady red of the heat of the fire. There too is bits of bone in the fire you cannot tell what they are from as they too are covered heavily now in black soot and cracked with the heat of the fire. As you move closer still you can see lines drawn on the stones around the fire. They look like they may be some kind of chalk or other fine powder. There is symbols too drawn in these circles, pictograms and drawings too, along side words written in different languages. You can see that some of the words are written in draconic. They don't seem to form any kind of sentence or thought but only single words. Two of them that are Proper names of some kind, those two words are situated on opposite sides of the object in the fire. The fire seems to burn brighter and hotter than what you would expect from a fire that size. You can feel the fire reaching out to you like pulsing waves of heat even from this distance you can feel the sting of the heat. There is something else on the object besides just the soot that coats the side, it is a slightly different color but between the brightness of the fire and the darkness that fills the rest of the place you can't make out what exactly it is. It looks like a kind of marking or something else applied to the object in the fire.

You can see the outline of a figure in front of you between you and the fire. It stands right in front of the object, you see the figure remove a small knife from its belt and it makes a small cut on it's hand. You aren't sure how the figure can stand that kind of heat and how its clothes aren't setting alight as close as it is to the fire. It holds its hand in a fist over the object and you can see several drops of crimson blood drip from the hand onto the object, the blood itself sizzles when it comes in contact with the top of the nearly round object. A few more drops that sizzle and smoke as they start to run down the sides of whatever it is that is in the fire. The figure in front of you opens there hand and places it on the side of the object. You heat it start to whisper. You can hear the blood from it's hand bubble and snap as it reacts to the heat of the object. The figure does not wince or flinch or draw back at all.
